CHAPTER 174: CHAPTER 175: THE VETERAN GENERAL WHO PLANTED THE FLAG (3000 WORDS)
They are all very powerful martial artists, their strength is top-notch.
Due to initially mastering the changes in his own magnetic field and connecting with the external environment, he can clearly perceive that there are two martial artists of the Great Perfection Realm of Fist Technique here.
Humph!
Lu Ren’s expression was indifferent, he ignored everyone, and his feet moved, as if he was an arrow leaving the string and rushed towards the dense forest in the southeast direction.
Xiao Chen had already provided him with detailed information about the Kunlun Realm, which contained many bizarre creatures that could easily lead one to death if not careful.
The trees here, although not as tall as those seemingly cultivated within Xu Fu’s Tomb, still allowed one to easily encounter ancient trees hundreds of years old.
The branches and leaves of towering trees almost obscured the light completely.
The daylight here is quite long, night is also equivalent.
It takes nearly a month for day and night to alternate.
When night falls, something very strange seems to occur, and the Security Bureau has already encountered some bizarre events.
Day and night are completely two different worlds.
At this moment, Lu Ren had already drawn the High-Frequency Vibration Sword from its scabbard. Although he hadn’t activated the high-frequency oscillation yet, he could accomplish many things just by relying on the weapon’s sharpness.
He waved his hand lightly, and a ’snake’-like creature quietly coiled atop the treetops with strange patterns all over its body suddenly leaped towards Lu Ren, only to be precisely split into two halves by Lu Ren.
Subodhi spoke softly.
"Friend, you can slightly extend your Qi externally, making contact with the world cautiously. Let your Qi appear inconsistent with it, and you can block these poisonous bugs and snakes."
Lu Ren understood, and with a slight shift in his thoughts, his own magnetic field began to spread like a sphere around him to about three meters.
With this spreading and gathering, he could clearly perceive the large and small magnetic fields around and even the hidden creatures became visible, revealing a new perspective of observing the world.
The snakes, insects, and rodents around him were driven away frantically, not daring to approach a single step.
This is a presence similar to a field.
Subodhi said: "This is a Taoism Field, Buddha Tathagata once enlightened a demon, simply having the other stand before him for half a moment, and the demon tonsured himself, obeying our Buddha, just like that.
Be aware, one person is a Taoism Field. Just being under your Qi’s influence, then it becomes a mythical paradise."
This is the ability of Bright Awakening!
He once felt it on Ji Quanzhen, the other possessed an extremely powerful field, transforming the entire cave into his own mythical paradise, creating an Immortal God Dojo.
The strength of the mind naturally drives the rest. Under magnetic field regulation, if martial artists practice the Martial Path around him or cultivators comprehend the spirit, their progress is much faster than practicing in ordinary environments.
"I see."
"Ding, it seems you’ve gained some insight into the use of ’Qi’, your skill level in the Ten Lands Mahayana Golden Body Bodhisattva Path has increased significantly."
"Ding, it seems you’ve gained some insight into the use of ’Qi’, your Spiritual Proficiency seems to have grown considerably."
Lu Ren’s heart was enlightened, he sheathed his sword, the specially made scabbard could pressurize and store energy, the explosive power upon drawing it was unimaginable.
Upon achieving Refined Basic Swordsmanship, his understanding of Sword Dao reached a higher level.
Combined with his current footing in the Bright Awakening Realm, Lu Ren didn’t even know the terrifying power and destructiveness he possessed when fully exerted.
So what if he used the magnetic field to search for people?
Lu Ren inquired: "Subodhi, if I use Qi to search for people, can I achieve it?"
Subodhi was silent for a while, then said indifferently: "Of course, I have the Thousand-Mile Soul Lock technique, but friend, what will you exchange for it?"
"Your life."
Lu Ren’s extremely cold words made Subodhi’s heart tremble slightly.
With Lu Ren’s current Limit-Breaking Spiritual Realm, it wouldn’t take much effort to crush him and completely annihilate him.
Subodhi was silent for a long time, finally smiled bitterly.
"To think Subodhi would also end up like this."
Lu Ren’s heart carried a few strands of coldness.
"If you learn from Ksitigarbha, immediately attain Nirvana, and might still retain some dignity."
He was certain that Subodhi and Ksitigarbha’s paths of Bright Awakening were completely contrary. Ksitigarbha views life and death merely as part of cultivation; if cultivation isn’t achieved, under a perfected state, with no attachments, why not fall into the void, which is another form of transcendence.
Ksitigarbha found his own path, which is why he’s so free.
While Subodhi would strive to survive, this unimaginable survival instinct allows him to perform any action to preserve his life.
Subodhi sighed softly and began to describe the secrets of the Thousand-Mile Soul Lock.
If explained by someone knowledgeable, a few simple pointers make Lu Ren understand the true skill of the Thousand-Mile Soul Lock.
Its essence is to seek the items the other party most frequently uses, ideally being something they carry closely, then use one’s own magnetic field to guide, temporarily harmonizing one’s magnetic field accordingly, and search for clues in the great magnetic field environment.
In other words, though magnetic fields are separated by thousands of miles, due to a certain special mechanism, there is a mysterious link between them.
What is the principle exactly?
Although he was somewhat unsure of the reason, Lu Ren nonetheless understood certain principles of Feng Shui in the real world.
After all, the reason is also this concept of the magnetic field.
To find a point where the magnetic field converges and bury the ancestors, while the magnetic field consolidates, it gradually influences the descendants with blood ties in some mystical way.
That’s why there’s the saying about ancestors being buried upright and descendants having a prosperous laugh.
But there is indeed a certain truth to it.
"Ding, you’ve learned a beneficial method for using your spirit, and your spiritual proficiency has increased."
With the system confirming and without any loopholes, Lu Ren began to ponder.
Given the path of Bright Awakening ahead, he’s still wading through the mud step by step, even though he has the Ten Lands Mahayana Golden Body Bodhisattva Path, some small techniques for the use of divine and magnetic fields still require time to ponder.
The Flame Wisdom Land in the Ten Lands Mahayana Golden Body Bodhisattva Path is a manifestation of the spirit realm.
It is the Fourth Land among the Ten Lands, speaking of the Bodhisattva’s diligent pursuit of the Path, eliminating the delusions of the mind, with wisdom burning brightly like a flame.
It is deep cultivation of the first three lands, only because he broke the limit, shattered the shackles of human limits, and stepped into a new stage. Subsequently, the Ten Lands Mahayana Golden Body Bodhisattva Path, due to the system, directly reaches the level of slight accomplishment, simultaneously achieving understanding of the Flame Wisdom Land.
The first three lands are Happy Land of the First Land, Purity Land of the Second Land, and Glowing Land of the Third Land.
They are all spiritual cultivation, the comprehension of the spirit realm.
The first land attains transcendence and enters and exits joyously, the second land can reject the temptations of outer demons, the third land speaks of the meaning of great wisdom and brightness, similar in meaning to the Lamp of Freedom.
Therefore, in terms of intention, the Ten Lands Mahayana Golden Body Bodhisattva Path is more lofty than the Lamp of Freedom.
But in reality, it’s not calculated like that, the Lamp of Freedom illuminates the self, observing the details, seeing the big within the small; the Ten Lands Mahayana Light illuminates three thousand realms, viewing the body as possessing endless worlds like grains of sand in the Buddhas’ realms, embracing the self with the external heavens and earth.
Big and small should complement each other.
And what is his deepest bond with Li Ziqing, it is of course the jointly practiced Phoenix Falcon Fist.
In contemplation, as Lu Ren’s spirit rises, it transforms as if into the true phoenix born from the fiery will, carrying an overwhelming heat like a small sun, arrogantly gazing at the heavens.
Then slowly controlling the magnetic field, linking with spiritual will, proceeding with outward locking.
Even with Subodhi’s view, seeing Lu Ren now use the Phoenix Falcon Fist was enough to elicit praise.
"To be able to cultivate a mere decent fist technique to the point of advancement is unattainable and would step into Bright Awakening. Fellow Daoist, your martial path talent would even make Shakyamuni want to take you as a disciple."
Ignoring Subodhi’s flattery, though the colorful words made him feel secretly pleased inside, Lu Ren asked himself about the kind of person Subodhi is, and he was very clear about it.
Subodhi clearly knows he won’t spare him, constantly seeking opportunities; his tenacity is terrifying, and he must be taken seriously in response.
After a long time, Lu Ren’s slightly closed eyes opened, turning to look in a certain direction.
In that direction.
Lu Ren moved like an arrow leaving the string, leaping forward.
Then using powerful force, he abruptly leapt onto a thick tree branch, and with a single kick, the large tree trunk beneath shattered, making a dull sound that almost created a roaring whistle.
Such high-intensity leaping, Lu Ren persisted for more than six hours before stopping.
His breath was somewhat rushed, his body rapidly heating due to the high exchange of oxygen, like a burning furnace nearing the point of making the furnace walls red-hot.
The power armor he wore also crazily activated the heat dissipation module, spraying hot air from the armor’s seams.
The flowers and grasses at his feet quickly wilted due to the heat.
During the six hours, Lu Ren had already leapt over a thousand kilometers.
Yet he still felt immensely energetic.
Taking two Super Concentrated Nutrient Pills and Water Cannon pills to recover physical strength, Lu Ren straightened his body and focused his gaze on a thin man leaning against a large tree.
And in front of him was the long-unseen Li Ziqing.
At this moment, Li Ziqing’s condition was quite poor, missing an arm, shirtless, wearing torn and shabby pants, his frame was so thin it was nearly possible to see his ribs, with hollow cheeks and a lowered head that obscured his face.
He had reached the point of exhaustion.
Being able to hold on until now was entirely due to sheer determination.
Under Lu Ren’s gaze, Li Ziqing’s magnetic field was on the verge of collapse, his bodily functions nearly breaking down. This was evidently caused by the overload use of Phoenix Falcon Fist’s lethal move.
He slowly approached the other, although wearing metal combat boots, his footsteps were silent, incredibly light.
Seemingly aware of someone nearing, he suddenly raised his head, with one eye missing an eyeball leaving only a hollow, the remaining left eye staring with the gaze of a falcon, what should have been on the brink of exhaustion now seemed to regain a strong vitality.
Upon seeing the visitor was indeed Lu Ren, his expression slightly froze, then the brightness in his eyes rapidly dimmed, and his remaining arm loosening against the ground.
Clearly, upon seeing Lu Ren, confirming he was not an enemy, he couldn’t maintain any longer.
The resolve in his heart was let go.
Li Ziqing could no longer maintain his posture, thus collapsing sideways.
At this moment, Lu Ren reached out gently supporting Li Ziqing, he softly said.
"Master Li, I’m here."
