CHAPTER 428: CHAPTER 302 NOT A BIG FACE

Such a huge Oil Lake was just a pimple on this middle-aged man’s face.

The island in the middle of the Oil Lake was the hard core in the center of the pimple.

Li Banfeng was pondering a question. Where am I positioned? On his face? I’m on someone else’s face...

The concept wasn’t easy to grasp, but Li Banfeng managed it, simply assuming the man’s face was immense.

Yet, he could still see the middle-aged man, perceiving him with normal size and perspective. I’m standing on this person’s face, looking at this very same person. Now, *this* is hard to understand. What kind of dimensional being is he?

The middle-aged man cupped his fist to Li Banfeng. "Let me introduce myself. My surname is Face, and my given name is Lian Bud."

Li Banfeng hurriedly returned the gesture. "My surname is Li, and my given name is Li Bufeng."

Lian Bud stared at Li Banfeng for a long moment, then said seriously, "My face truly isn’t big. Even my wife says so."

Li Banfeng agreed, "And I’m truly not mad. The doctors have said so; I’m definitely not mad."

Lian Bud blinked. "You’re quite slippery."

Li Banfeng shook his head. "You’ve misunderstood. I’m very sincere."

The middle-aged man smiled. "I appreciate slippery people."

Li Banfeng replied earnestly, "Whether you appreciate it or not, I’ve always been a sincere person!"

"Since you’re so sincere, let me ask you one question: how did you find this place?"

That question did stump Li Banfeng.

"If I say I don’t know, would you believe me?"

Lian Bud shook his head, clearly disbelieving. "Someone from the Inner State sent you, didn’t they? Was it the one who strangles necks? The one who plugs ears? The one who chops hands? The one who gags mouths? Or the one who blinds eyes?"

Li Banfeng was confused. "Who are you talking about?"

Lian Bud lowered his head slightly, then raised his eyebrows at Li Banfeng. "You don’t know them? You’ve made it all the way here, to my place, and you still want to deny it?"

Li Banfeng frowned. "If I don’t know them, I don’t know them. What’s there to deny?"

Lian Bud chuckled. "Alright, let’s just say you’re not from the Inner State. Let me ask you, have you ever seen a car?"

Li Banfeng nodded. "I have."

"The cars you’ve seen, do they run on coal or oil?"

"I’ve seen both." In Greenwater City, there were steam cars, but not many.

Lian Bud continued, "Puluo State doesn’t have oil-powered cars. Are you from the Outside Provinces?"

Li Banfeng answered vaguely, "I’ve been to the Outside Provinces."

Lian Bud touched his oily cheeks and shook his head repeatedly. "How could someone from the Outside Provinces possibly find me? Do they have such capabilities? I don’t believe what you’re saying, and I don’t even believe your name."

Li Banfeng spoke calmly, "If you don’t believe anything I say, why bother asking me? Isn’t the result the same anyway?"

Lian Bud laughed. "I was just bored and wanted to find someone to talk to. In fact, you’re right. No matter what you say, the result is the same; I won’t let you leave here alive."

Li Banfeng abruptly got up and started to run.

Lian Bud, one foot gliding along the Earth Skin as if skating, leisurely followed Li Banfeng. He asked, "Are you a Traveling Cultivator? Your footwork is quite rare. Who taught you this Footwork?"

Li Banfeng didn’t respond. Ahead was a hill, and Li Banfeng climbed up its slope.

Lian Bud still followed easily, not struggling at all. "You’d better watch your step. I could drown you in one of my pores."

Over the hill, Li Banfeng saw a river, its surface more than twenty meters wide, emanating a fishy, salty smell.

Lian Bud continued, "I just sweated a bit. Once this sweat dries, this river will be gone too." As he spoke, Lian Bud wiped his sweat.

The river before him indeed dried up, leaving only a slightly damp riverbed.

Li Banfeng charged directly toward the riverbed, calling back to Lian Bud, "You’re sweating! That proves you’re tired. Keep running for a while longer, and you won’t be able to keep up with me."

"What does it matter whether I can keep up with you or not? You’re always on my face. Where could you possibly run?" Lian Bud wiped some sweat from his face and flung it at Li Banfeng’s feet.

The sweat was mixed with a large amount of oil. Li Banfeng’s foot slipped on it, and he nearly fell. Instinctively, he stomped his right foot, executing the Trample Over Thousands of Rivers Technique at extreme speed.

BOOM!

Sand and stones splattered, dust rose, and a two-meter-diameter shallow pit appeared beneath Li Banfeng’s feet.

Lian Bud touched his nose.

It wasn’t painless; there was a tinge of itchiness. But as for how painful it was, it actually fell far short of even a mosquito bite.

Li Banfeng looked back at Lian Bud, then down at the Earth Skin beneath his feet, trying to establish a connection between the two.

First, it was certain: this was one person in two different dimensional forms. But Li Banfeng’s current mental capacity couldn’t comprehend the coexistence of Lian Bud in two dimensions. He could only offer a more intuitive explanation for the current situation.

He decided to call the true, colossal Lian Bud (the face he was on) ’True Face Not Big’, and the pursuing human-form Lian Bud ’Little Lian Bud’.

To True Face Not Big, Li Banfeng might be akin to a bacterium. Considering the current situation, this was actually a good thing; after all, a normal person couldn’t do much about bacteria. So, the immediate threat likely came from Little Lian Bud.

Li Banfeng intended to use this opportunity to escape Little Lian Bud’s line of sight, and then find a way to escape from the face of True Face Not Big.

Having made up his mind, Li Banfeng began to accelerate steadily. Little Lian Bud started to struggle to keep up.

"Hey, don’t run so fast! Don’t head towards the Oil Lake up ahead. There’s something there that can eat you..."

Before he could finish, Li Banfeng had already reached the Oil Lake and was sprinting around its edge.
