CHAPTER 432: CHAPTER 303: ANCESTOR OF THE OIL CULTIVATORS (SEEKING MONTHLY VOTES)_3
Lian Bud cried out, "This is my nose!"
Li Banfeng turned and shouted, "I didn’t see your eyes!"
"They’re covered!"
Li Banfeng was puzzled.
Little Lian Bud repeated, "My eyes, they’re covered."
Eye-coverings. He said the Inner State had such things. Had his eyes been covered by people from the Inner State?
After running for a long while, Little Lian Bud cried out, "Stop!"
Li Banfeng momentarily stopped, leaning on his knees and gasping for breath. In fact, he had become accustomed to it. Over the past three days, he had pushed his Taoist Sect techniques to the limit, trying every means possible to deal with Lian Bud.
Little Lian Bud stood about ten meters away and asked Li Banfeng, "You know Old Train’s footwork, and you can sing the ’Train Ballad.’ You must be a friend of Old Train, right?"
"I’m his brother!"
"Good, I believe you!" Lian Bud nodded slightly. "You say you didn’t steal my oil, but why is my oil missing?"
How would I know anything about that? Could it be that damn Gloves that stole the oil? But I can’t go spouting nonsense.
Li Banfeng said, "Maybe it leaked away. It could have evaporated with the wind and the sun, who knows."
"Evaporated?" Lian Bud laughed. "Do you really not know where this is?"
"I really don’t!"
Lian Bud looked around and sighed. "This place is harsh, truly harsh. My life is so hard. I want to tell others how much I’m struggling, yet no one talks to me!"
Li Banfeng, after a moment of silence, said, "I’ve spoken quite a lot with you these days."
"Yes, yes, we’ve talked quite a bit. I’ll let you go, send you to New Land in Beggar Bay. But you can’t take the oil with you! Keep running ahead!"
Li Banfeng ran forward another several dozen li when a gale blew up, lifting his body into the air.
Lian Bud cried out, "You can’t take the oil with you! I’m taking it all back!"
The oil on Li Banfeng’s body vanished completely.
"If you run into Old Train, tell him burning oil is better than burning coal!"
The air current rose sharply. Li Banfeng flew out through a gap. First, there was darkness, then a thick cloud of dust made it impossible for him to open his eyes for a while.
When the dust finally cleared, Li Banfeng fell to the ground. As he opened his eyes again, he saw a large, decayed tree with vines twining around it.
This was a common sight in New Land. Li Banfeng felt like he had been here before.
New Land in Greenwater Bay wasn’t unfamiliar to Li Banfeng. As long as he figured out the direction, he could quickly find his way back to Zhengjing Village.
Sitting on the ground to rest for a while, Li Banfeng took out the Gloves.
"Tell me, was it you who stole the oil?"
The Gloves used its index finger as a head, shaking it vigorously. "Why would I steal that stuff?"
"You really didn’t steal it?"
"Didn’t steal!" The Gloves appeared aggrieved. "I just stole half a roasted chicken, and it was the one you left over."
Having said that, the Gloves spat out the roasted chicken.
Li Banfeng laughed. "Look at your sorry self! What do you need to steal chicken for?"
Truth be told, the roasted chicken Lian Bud made was delicious.
What exactly had he experienced? Was he the patriarch of the Oil Cultivators? Where exactly was he? He knew Grandpa Train and the Peddler. Grandpa Train isn’t easy to find, but I should remember to ask the Peddler if I encounter him someday. Actually, there’s no need to necessarily ask the Peddler; I can go see him myself. Later, when I have more ways to deal with him, I might as well visit him at Oil Lake again.
Li Banfeng picked up the roasted chicken, intending to take a few more bites, but suddenly, it disappeared.
"Who?!" Li Banfeng was startled.
A woman’s voice came from beside his ear. "Fine, I’ve agreed."
Li Banfeng was taken aback. "What have you agreed to?"
The woman replied, "Let the testing begin!"
A halo of light illuminated the area around the land plot.
