CHAPTER 1134: SECTION 702: AUTUMN WIND HEADING SOUTH (PART 2)_3
Malin didn’t even know why he was doing this; Earth Union had long become a page of history, everything that once was had been obliterated in the cruelest manner by history, yet Malin still hoped he could do something, even if their souls had already dissipated, at least... Malin knew, they existed.
"Mr. Malin, why are you collecting them?" Bei Luo noticed Malin’s actions.
"I don’t know either, maybe because I feel like they existed; they... shouldn’t be abandoned here, right." Malin said this as he noticed the team was about to walk out of this death highway, and down the slope, a dilapidated small town appeared in Malin’s sight.
Malin didn’t even know where this was.
Following the team into the small town, the valley terrain here would accelerate the wind speed, so after long periods of wind and rain, the originally small town now only had some broken eaves and ruins left, some beasts Malin couldn’t recognize called this place home, and upon noticing Malin and the others’ arrival, they cautiously got up and fled.
"What are those things? My scanner tells me they’re dogs?" Jason looked towards Bei Luo beside him.
"They’re just dogs. If you go further south from this area, it’s the direct impact zone, this area has some level of ground pollution, I recommend..." Sage Yu glanced at everyone in the team, then silently put on his chemical protection helmet.
Malin turned to look at the composition of his team—oh right, Malin could now completely ignore this level of radiation, Konen, being a biochemical being, was naturally resistant to radiation, Jason and Bei Luo, being intelligent AI, ignored this level of radiation, Ails simply didn’t care about this radiation.
Only Sage Yu, who used a part of biomass, wasn’t adept at radiation resistance.
After walking a certain distance, Malin saw a giant creature.
"What’s that?" Malin looked at the thing on the opposite side of the river.
"It’s a dog." Bei Luo said.
"...I’ve never seen a dog without an outer skin, fully made of flesh, with three heads larger than a bison." Malin felt his understanding of biology was constantly being overturned, while countless biology teachers in this world were about to rise from their graves.
Just as he was thinking, Malin saw a cat running over.
"Ah, it’s a cat." Jason reached out and grabbed the little cat that jumped onto his face.
"Yes, it’s a cat, but this cat likes to bite heads and suck brains, look at its two teeth, hollow, it’s a distorted different kind." Sage Yu, as the elder biological expert, clarified for everyone.
"But it’s a cat, it’s so cute, much cuter than those dogs over there." Jason said, while handing the cat to Malin.
Malin looked at this cat, discovering that the little cat that looked like a tortoiseshell was meowing.
"I have a question, Sage Yu." Malin spoke.
"Ask away, Lord Malin." Sage Yu replied.
"Do you say, between that dog over there and the cat in my hand, which is more dangerous?" Malin stroked the little cat in his hand.
"The cat in your hand, I suggest you kill it quickly." Sage Yu said without turning his head.
So Malin snapped the neck of this cannibalistic cat—no matter how cute, one cannot show mercy to man-eating different kinds.
Malin tossed the dead different kind aside, drew the revolver from his waist, and fired at the dog across.
The latter let out a howl, then with three heads held high, the big dog fell on the gravel beach.
"Hit the heart below the head, great marksmanship." Bei Luo clapped his hands: "Mr. Malin, you know, as long as the leader is eliminated, you can dismantle the Flesh Hounds’ forces in this area, right?"
"Ah...yes." Malin nodded.
As it turned out, he could no longer speak of the fact that he hated dogs.
