CHAPTER 1137: SECTION 703: AUTUMN WIND HEADING SOUTH (PART 3)_3
"Maybe it’s possible outside," Jason said, signaling for Bei Luo to join him in the warehouse to find that thing called the central power room safety latch.
Meanwhile, Malin walked outside.
Malin, who began listening, heard extremely tiny sounds.
So, he looked up and gazed at the giant hole above.
There were no creatures in normal vision, nor in infrared vision, but Malin still felt a slight distortion in the air.
In the next second, Malin reached out his hand, and as his Psychic Palm flew upwards, it seemed to hit something. After the optical camouflage was disrupted, a... giant salamander appeared in Malin’s eyes.
This is so big, with a full length of about ten meters, and its huge eyes glared at Malin. The next second, the roar he had just heard came from its mouth as the giant quadrupedal beast leapt down.
Malin raised his left hand.
An invisible field of Psychic energy appeared between Malin and the once national-level protected animal.
In the eyes of those who reacted but didn’t have time to counterattack, the giant quadrupedal beast was about to strike Malin but collided with an invisible wall.
Everyone could see its neck twist ninety degrees in an instant, and then the giant quadrupedal beast fell to the ground.
Malin stepped forward and placed his left hand on the creature’s head.
In Malin’s perception, the giant creature was crying.
· Hungry, pain, so much pain... Human... Why... hurt... me?
Why do humans hurt you?
Malin was amused, you with a ten-meter-long body lunging over, only a freak like me can catch you.
He applied a Healing Spell on the creature, healing its wounds, and began communicating with it using Spiritual Energy.
· Do you know how big you are?
· How big am I?
It wondered, making Malin frown a bit—intelligent, but clearly not very high.
· Have you seen other humans?
· Seen them, long, long ago... saw them before... Everyone... liked... me!
The big guy said as it began eyeing the zombies.
· Do you want to eat them?
· They, food, here, mine.
Oh boy, so this is its hunting ground too.
Malin finally started to understand—this thing should be an abnormal creature, but with intelligence, perhaps lived for a very long time, possibly even a creature from before the great destruction.
At this moment, Sage Yu had already come running over, and upon seeing the big creature, eagerly approached.
"An abnormal creature! This big! Can I dissect it?"
"No," Malin flatly refused Sage Yu’s request.
Then he gave Sage Yu an even bigger surprise, "This thing eats zombies, can communicate with Spiritual Energy, it probably doesn’t eat humans."
After saying this, Malin asked the big creature again if it eats humans.
· Humans are friends... Old... old... old said!
The big guy stammered a bit, but Malin saw it start to lick his hand, looking at the saliva-covered hand, Malin finally dismissed his intent to kill—it might have limited intelligence but hadn’t lied.
"Then what does it eat?" Sage Yu asked at this point.
"Zombies." Malin had just finished saying when he saw the big creature bite Konen.
Didn’t you say you... wait, Konen indeed doesn’t count as a human, then what are you panicking for?
With a slap, Malin knocked the big creature down, pulling Konen out of its mouth, and stood with his hands on his hips looking at this creature, with grievances written all over its face.
· Hungry! That was... food!
It complained to Malin.
The words are true, but Malin still couldn’t watch Konen get eaten. After all, wearing Power Armor raises another question—Can it even be digested? Malin couldn’t be returning and tell Konen’s parents, "Sorry, your son became fish food in the Eastern Land."
So in response, Malin pointed to the zombies on the ground: "Eat these, he cannot be eaten!"
The big creature looked at the food hiding behind the crowd, then looked at the ground covered in food.
Despite not being very smart, it ultimately chose to bow its head to eat—the larger quantity, the better the meal.
"How did it feel being bitten just now?" Jason laughed and asked Konen.
"I thought I was done for," Konen took off his gas mask and answered, still visibly shaken.
Malin slapped his face with his hand—because he saw Konen’s expression freeze the next second, and he tumbled to the ground.
The intelligence level between you and this big guy really is head-to-head.
