Chapter 435: Live and Death Formation
CHAPTER 435: LIVE AND DEATH FORMATION
Silas: "..."
But it’s true!
Aya looked at these two people and rolled her eyes. As much as she wanted to joke around, she knew that they didn’t have much time before the few magic warriors who were chasing after Nathan came over. Besides, she might need to spend more time on this, so it would be better for them to hurry a bit.
"As much as I would like to accompany you to chat and talk, I think it’s better if we get to business," Aya said slowly, interrupting the two people’s conversation.
"Alright, why did you want to see me? I don’t think that I have anything that would interest you," Nathan also got serious when he heard Aya’s words.
"I managed to perfect a formation and finally completed the necessary part... now, I want to know whether you want to meet with your brother and teacher," Aya said slowly.
The two men were petrified on the spot when they heard Aya’s question.
Silas looked at Aya with the expression of disbelief. These people have passed away for so many years and their bodies were all buried in Wansu City. While there were some magic that would allow them to talk to the death... wait, it was not exactly talking but only to summon them back from the dead, but it was necromancy and this magic has been forbidden for a long time.
Because when they summoned the dead, it was not exactly summoning these people.
It was just their bones.
Without any consciousness whatsoever, the necromancer would use their bones to follow their order.
This was what they knew.
But the three cities’ areas prohibited necromancy spell, so there was no necromancer at all in that area.
As for other places?
Who knows?
"What do you mean talking with them... are you learning necromancy or anything like that?" Nathan frowned.
As much as he would like to see his brother, teacher, and sister in law again, Nathan didn’t want to see them in that capacity. After all, he knew very well that necromancy didn’t really revive the dead and Nathan knew his brother would scold him if he dared to do something like that.
So Nathan was only looking at Aya and Silas in confusion.
For one, he didn’t dare to attempt to agree to something like this.
"No, it’s not necromancy." Aya shook her head. She never learned necromancy despite the fact that she has dark element.
The basic for necromancy was naturally having a dark element and then they would start learning many things regarding it. But Aya didn’t know the details because she didn’t plan to learn it in her entire life. Silas was also not interested.
"Then..."
"There’s a formation that could affect the time and space," Aya said slowly as she looked at the two people in front of her. "I spend most of my time learning about formation, which I’m sure Brother Silas knew. One of them is the time and space formation and then there’s another formation... it’s called the living and the death formation."
Living and death formation?
Neither Silas or Nathan knew much about formation. Nathan was busy training as a magic warrior so that he could finish his revenge and didn’t have time to any side profession. Besides, he knew that he didn’t have much talent for any of them.
Even if he started to learn any of these, it would take most of his time.
Nathan couldn’t do it.
So he didn’t bother to.
Silas had already learned about puppets and magic tools, so he would not start learning about other things. Even though a magic warrior’s mental strength had increased along with their ranks, it was not that easy to start learning about these things.
Neither Silas or Nathan had the intention to learn.
So they were clueless about the formation that Aya mentioned.
Seeing the confusion on their face, Aya looked helpless and then said, "Basically, it’s a formation that could use your mana to call you back... well, that’s not right. You can just say that it’s a formation that allows the people who have passed away and the people who are still alive to meet. The requirement is to have the mana of the people who have passed away."
"Mana of the people who have passed away?" Nathan looked confused. "I thought that your mana will naturally dissipate as time passed if you have passed away."
Even if he wanted to keep his brother and the other’s mana, he had no means to do so. He knew that their mana will slowly dissipate with time.
"I have," Aya replied. "If you have forgotten, I once asked for your mana and stored it within a formation. All of you gave your mana to me."
It has been many years ago and Aya didn’t really expect them to remember.
She took out the formation plate that she once made and showed to the others. At that time, everyone just gave their mana to her without realizing that she was actually making a backup plan.
It would have been more wonderful if she could revive someone from their mana.
But Aya had never heard of any magic like that.
The best she could do was this formation that she had once heard but unable to make it in the past. She had been thinking about studying more about formation and it was only recently that she managed to finish her study.
Now that she could make this formation... she wanted to implement her previous plan.
"...How did you keep their mana... no wait, I don’t think I need to know this." Nathan raised his hand and then rubbed his forehead.
To be honest, he had never thought about seeing them again even though he wanted to take revenge for them. Because what had happened in the past made it impossible for him to see them again. Nathan also didn’t know any magic that could let him meet them again.
So right now... he only felt at loss.
