CHAPTER 436: LIVE AND DEATH FORMATION (2)
"Well, you don’t have to answer right away." Aya shook her head. "I’ll prepare the formation first and then set a place for us to meet. After all, I don’t think that you would like your meeting to be interrupted by the few magic warriors who are coming here."
Nathan didn’t exactly cover up his tracks that well.
In any case, one of the reasons why he did that was because Nathan was actually hoping for these people to come and find him.
Because Nathan couldn’t find out the magic warriors who are left.
He had already killed most of the magic warriors responsible for their deaths but there were still some people missing. These people were smart enough to hide away from him, not allowing Nathan to figure out any clues.
This made Nathan frustrated.
So the best way he could do to find them was to use himself as the bait.
It’s dangerous, yes.
But Nathan didn’t think that there was anything wrong with it.
"They’re already here?" Nathan asked and then pursed his lips. "Outside Central Magic City, there’s an empty groove and I think it’s good enough there."
"Good."
"Do you need help to deal with them?"
"No. I can deal with these magic warriors. I’ll go there within a week’s time."
"Sure."
After making an agreement with each other Silas and Aya left.
The two of them knew that Nathan was not that weak and there were actually many traps around this place. It was set to trigger when someone passed by and the only reason why it hadn’t triggered until now was because Nathan set it so that it would not trigger when encountering Silas’s mana and paused for a while.
It seemed that Nathan also learned one or two things in the past few years.
He didn’t only learn how to become a proper magic warriors but also learned how to set up traps that could kill higher ranked magic warriors.
But Silas guessed that Nathan didn’t make these traps.
He only arranged their placement.
"I never knew about the life and death formation," Silas said after they left the area. The two of them stopped not far away and planned to watch Nathan’s battle. If Nathan encountered some troubles when dealing with these magic warriors, they would step in to help.
After all, they were still much stronger than Nathan.
"It’s a special formation..." Aya replied.
To be exact, it was a formation that was developed in her previous life after there were countless deaths due to the appearance of these ghosts. Countless people regretted the fact that they had never said goodbye to their friends before they passed away.
So some higher ranked formation master created this formation.
It would allow them to meet with their relatives for the last time so that they could say goodbye.
Aya was also learning about this formation at that time, but she never learned until the end. Because a large number of ghosts came over and interrupted her study. As a magic warrior who was cultivated by the White Family and was given the task to protect the city and all, she had to go.
She had to deal with these ghosts and made sure that most people could survive.
Unfortunately, she failed in the end.
After the death of the Green Family Patriarch and the few others, Aya had always kept the formation running in her mind.
She wanted to complete this formation.
This was originally a formation that was completed by the combination of countless formation masters and magic warriors in that era.
It was not something that a person could possibly work on their own.
But Aya could not tell anyone about this.
No one else wanted to make this formation, so she chose to complete it herself, trying to incorporate some ideas into it.
Unfortunately, it was not perfect.
There were still some things that she was not satisfied with, but Aya could guess that this might be the best time for her to come.
"If he continues this way, he’ll die," Aya said quietly.
Silas pursed his lips and then said, "I don’t think he’ll regret it... because this has become his lifelong pursuit."
"It’s just a pity."
A pity?
Silas didn’t say anything and Aya didn’t explain either.
He didn’t know what Aya found out and how she managed to do it, but it could be said that he was thankful that Aya still remembered Nathan. Because he and Nathan basically had a fallout with each other because they were angry at what happened back then.
But while Nathan put revenge as his lifelong pursuit, Silas chose to accept it.
Now...
There might be a chance for Nathan to stop doing what he had been doing all these years and to live for himself.
"Do you know who’s after him?"
"No, but I know who knows," Aya replied.
In other words, they could ask the question to the three people who have passed away directly.
Silas nodded thoughtfully and then said, "Let’s go. The battle is over."
They could see and hear the battle in the distance. With Nathan’s strength, he basically crushed his opponents and also used the traps that he had set up.
This has always been his method.
But these people were not the main enemies Nathan wanted to find.
The few people who were truly his enemies were not present and they only sent some people to kill him.
It was frustrating to not being able to find his enemy.
...
Aya and Silas asked for a leave from the mayor, saying that they wanted to take a break.
Mayor Hall granted them.
After all, a magic warriors also needed to balance their work and rest. The two of them have been working hard for the past two years and Mayor Hall could see their improvement.
They only needed a little bit more to reach rank 9.
After they reached rank 9...
He could basically let them see the ghost king and see if they could deal with them or needed some time to accumulate their strength more.
