Chapter 33: A Very Obedient Pet?
CHAPTER 33: A VERY OBEDIENT PET?
Silas felt a headache coming up, so he grabbed the bridge of his nose. Ether stood with her breasts bouncing in front of his gaze, steam rising from the pores of her exposed skin.
"I guess she was naked in that bodysuit all this time..." Silas rubbed the bridge of his nose, using this time of pause to relax. He thought to end her existence with disintegrate.
"I... want... to... see..." she moaned, the steams around her body growing thicker, and stretched her hands in Silas’ direction. She tried to touch him, "your... beating... heart..."
"Sigh..." Silas shook his head, shifting his glance from Ether to the house then back to Ether. Silas dropped his hand from his face, "Since it has come to this, I have no choice."
Ether sniffed, turning in the direction of his voice. She lunged in that direction, swept her hands in arcs, only to discover that he’d vanished. Ether paused, pausing in confusion.
Before she could make another move, she felt a hand rest on her shoulders. Ether spun around to react, but a fist slammed into her arm, sending her staggering to the side in pain.
She grabbed her arm, bleeding profusely through her fingers. Ether panted, steam rising from her wound as she tried to stand straight, only for another punch to slam into her face.
Ether gasped as her feet left the grass, the wind screeched in her ears as she flew in the air. Silas stood, watching as Ether hurtled over the wall then he sighed, ’Ha, I threw it out.’
"I should have taken more care when I brought a predator in my house," Silas turned to the blood on the gates, then to his house, finally piecing it together, "She chased him here?"
Even he would have ran from her, much less any regular human being. If the fight was continued here, Silas feared for the lives of the others, so he had to throw the woman away.
|Keyboard Warrior_76— How come this hasn’t triggered a choice quest?
|Daddy Belligerency— Do you think bro has much of a choice right now?
Silas who’d spared only a glance at the chats, turned back to the gates. He cracked his neck, walked to the gates and opened them, stepping outside and locking them behind him.
He turned to the vehicle by the side, then to Ether who sat on the ground with her head bowed. He sighed, then removed his iron enhancement, "Lets’ see if I can train a predator."
Silas said that pit loud, but he was prepared to release iron enhancement at any time to finish her off. Even though he could use her to hunt his targets, she was still a deadly beast.
Ether lifted her head, revealing her eye mask that was ripped halfway. He finally saw it, her eye— it was crimson, with a luminescent golden ring around her pupil. It was beautiful.
She grinned after sniffing the air, probably realising that it was Silas that’d walked out to meet her. She raised her hand and tugged at the eye mask, but Ether could not tear it off.
"I see the material used to cover your eyes is stronger than your bodysuit." Silas said as he walked with his hands in his pockets, glaring at Ether, "Your eyes must be more deadly."
[You Stumbled Upon A Rare Atrocity,]
’Seeing that she didn’t attack me, she must be desperate.’ Silas replied patiently, lifting his gaze to read the title of his new quest before lowering his gaze, ’What are the rewards?’
[Pick a Choice,]
[Choice A — Kill It]
—Rewards:
[(15) Gacha Coins]
[Skill, Ether Burst]
[Choice B — Adopt It]
—Rewards:
[Ether’s Trust +100%]
[Skill, Fire Retribution]
"Finally, I can get a reward for—" Silas vanished from his position, appearing an instant later with his hand grasping her neck, the back of her head buried in a wall, "—killing you!"
She gave him a one-eyed glare, her eyes watering up. Silas frowned, the thoughts of all he could do with her running in his mind, then he shook his head, "Fuck. She’s dangerous!"
He barely noticed how much a single eye affected his thoughts. Silas clicked his tongue, then he sighed, turning to the side. A beam of light was shot at him straight from the truck.
Silas sighed, then darted backwards, dragging Ether along. He watched the light travel into the distance before dispersing, holding Ether by the neck then he lifted her to eye level.
"If you tell me who did this to you," Silas leaned forward to whisper in her ears, a cruel gleam appearing in his eyes, "I will take you from them, only if I know you understand me."
Ether’s eyes widened. She turned her gaze in the direction of the armoured truck, then shifted her glance to stare at the side of Silas’ face, Ether’s heart raced, "My eldest sibling."
’The fuck am I supposed to know who your eldest sibling is?’ Silas rolled his eyes. He’d expected too much. Silas sighed, then he paused, his pupils narrowing, "What’s her name?"
Ether’s gaze grew lost, then it turned lifeless. She seemed to be in deep thoughts, then she shook her head. Silas stared into her eyes, then Silas shook his head in disappointment.
Adoption costs were too high for this one, and he had no experience training predators in a domestic setting— he had no experience training predators at all. Ether isn’t a cute cat.
"I’ll need to discuss this with Luke and Ice first— wait, why do I need to discuss it with anyone?" Silas rolled his eyes, stretching his hand in the direction of the vehicle in thought.
Before he could crush the whole truck into a football, the driver quickly pressed on the pedal and zoomed away from their sight, leaving Ether in Silas’ care while he observed this.
"He didn’t try any harder to reclaim her? That means whatever’s in that truck must be much more important than her life." Silas sighed as he tossed her to the side like a rag doll.
"You—" he said, pointing to Ether, "You’re going to help me track down that truck. He’d be a threat if not dealt with decisively. From now on, the only one you’re listening to is me."
Ether slammed her head on the ground, bowing to Silas to show her submission. After a few seconds, he nodded his head in approval, crouching to pet her head, "Who’s a bad girl?"
"I am!" Ether replied almost instantly, lifting her eye to stare at Silas. He sighed, feeling the chill leaving his body, like a weight lifted from his shoulders. She must be very obedient.
