CHAPTER 436: MEETING COMMANDER HARRIS AGAIN

City C (14th Zone):

Harris and his team started speaking to Ron Night. From the airport, they traveled to the City Administration Building in his car.

Soon, they reached the City Administration Building. Harris and the others were guided to their rooms. Beast Tamer Harris wanted to hear the information directly from the City Governor.

The other two City Governors arrived after hearing about his arrival. They greeted him and his team. Harris knew that the three City Governors’ children had fought in the Beast Invasion.

In particular, he knew about Jeremy Night and his journey to the 10th Zone. It was considered big news, even by City Governors Elton and others.

Not only that, he had heard about the Beast Invasion in the 10th Zone as well. So he was surprised to learn that the kid faced such danger while visiting his family here.

"I heard your sons and daughter were involved in this incident," Harris commented.

Hearing that, the three City Governors nodded. They began to recount the events again, not hiding anything, including the actions of Jeremy Night.

The four Tier-5 Beast Tamers standing behind Harris were shocked. They refused to believe such nonsense, but Harris believed it.

No one would have hired that kid if he wasn’t extraordinary. Harris knew the kid had joined one of the Beast Taming Forces in the 10th Zone.

It was their responsibility to protect the kid’s safety as well. Otherwise, someone powerful from the 10th Zone might come knocking on their door.

"We’ll start our investigation tomorrow morning," Harris said.

He thought it wasn’t safe to explore the suspected place at night. If things had changed here, he believed it was best to start the investigation in the morning.

Their guest rooms were arranged. Staff members were available to stay all night. So the three City Governors left the place and returned to their homes.

The following day, early in the morning, Jeremy woke up. When he came to the hall, he saw his mother and learned that his father wasn’t there. From her, he discovered that assistance from City A had arrived.

When he learned who it was, he was surprised. He had fought under Commander Harris during the Beast Invasion back then and had even received praise from him.

He didn’t expect the City A Governors to dispatch that person. But Jeremy didn’t know it was all because of him. Knowingly or unknowingly, the City Governors of City A and Dean Carolyn had started giving importance to this issue.

Jeremy felt good about having their support. He thought his father and the other two City Governors would be safe now. There would be no human backstabbing.

Then he chatted with his mother for a few minutes before returning to his room to get ready.

About 30 minutes later, he walked out of the mansion with an excuse. He brought the Night Family Guard with him to the wilderness. The Night Guard was shocked.

But after yesterday’s events, he completely trusted Young Master Jeremy, so he didn’t ask any questions. He didn’t bring any other members with him.

Jeremy knew the members were Tier-3 and Tier-2 Beast Tamers. They wouldn’t be of any help if there was a sudden change in the situation.

The Head Guard was a Tier-4 Beast Tamer. He could handle the sudden appearance of corrupted beasts. After arriving in the wilderness, Jeremy asked the Head Guard to follow him.

He was heading to the previous site where he had fought against the Tier-5 Worm Beast. He thought the Tier-5 Worm knew that place.

After smelling the special liquid, it might come out. He started heading toward the place. The Head Guard, with no choice, followed his young master.

Meanwhile, Harris and his team members were ready to leave. The City Governors decided to accompany them, but Harris rejected the idea.

His four team members were all Tier-5 Beast Tamers, more than enough to handle any dangerous situation.

After hearing that, Ron and the other two decided to stay back. Only Harris and his four members left the place. Harris had already gotten the location from Ron Night.

They started heading toward the wilderness.

On the other hand, the Tier-5 Worm Beast was angry. Four of its members had been killed. It had escaped with injuries and wanted revenge.

It wouldn’t go back before fully recovering. It was now buried deep underground. The rich natural energy in the soil was speeding up its recovery.

About 30 minutes later, I arrived at the previous spot. The signs of fighting were still fresh here.

"Young Master, this is the place," the Head Guard said.

But he was confused about why the young master had brought him here.

Jeremy took out the storage ring and began removing the bottles one by one.

The Head Guard was shocked, not knowing what was happening. Jeremy saw him and said, "Open the bottles and pour the liquid around this area."

Hearing that, the Head Guard nodded and started working. He opened the bottles one by one and poured the liquid on the ground.

Though the smell was unbearable, he continued.

In the blink of an eye, he brought out a hundred bottles. He started working with him as well. The Head Guard didn’t ask any questions.

A few minutes later, the ground across more than a hundred meters was covered with the special liquid. The Head Guard couldn’t contain his curiosity.

Finally, he asked, "Young Master, what’s going on here?"

Jeremy smiled and replied, "It’s a special liquid. It helps lure out worm-type beasts."

"The Tier-5 Worm might come out after smelling it," he added.

"What?" the Head Guard exclaimed in shock.

His expression turned pale with fright.

"Young Master, it’s dangerous. What if there are more than one Tier-5 Worm Beasts? It could be dangerous for our city," the Head Guard asked.

"Don’t worry, a Tier-6 Beast Tamer has come to our city. It’s the right time to lure out this b@stard. It would be good if all the hiding b@stards come out," Jeremy said.

Hearing that, the Head Guard understood. He thought the young master wanted to use the presence of the Tier-6 Beast Tamer to eliminate the threats around City C.

He couldn’t help but be shocked again. He was once more surprised by Young Master Jeremy’s courage. No one else in the city had such thoughts.

On the other hand, Jeremy started using his eye ability to observe the place while the Head Guard was still in shock.

The smell not only spread across the area but also seeped underground.

Not long after, Harris and the four Beast Tamers arrived at the spot. They were standing in mid-air. Upon seeing Jeremy and the Guard, Harris was shocked.

Thud!

He landed on the ground and walked up to Jeremy Night. The Tier-5 Beast Tamers behind him were surprised as well.

Jeremy Night saw them but wasn’t surprised by their arrival. The Head Guard started panicking. He could feel immense pressure from them, like the City Governors.

Jeremy recognized Commander Harris but didn’t know the other four Beast Tamers. He glanced at them before looking at Commander Harris.

"Kid, what are you doing here?" Harris asked.

He saw the hundreds of bottles and recognized the label as well, being part of the Beast Taming Association.

Jeremy smiled and said, "I’m trying to lure out all the hidden dangers here."

Hearing that, Harris was left speechless. He was angry but didn’t know what to do. He knew the kid had survived two different Beast Invasions.

One of them was even more terrifying. He had seen the footage online. So he calmed himself. But the four Beast Tamers behind him didn’t know Jeremy Night.

They thought a Tier-2 kid was unnecessarily causing problems.

One of them, a male, stepped forward, visibly angry.

"Kid, don’t think being the son of a City Governor means you can do anything here."

"What if an army of corrupted beasts is attracted to this place?"

"Such a large gathering of corrupted beasts could trigger a Beast Invasion here. You’re putting people’s lives at risk," the man said.

Even Harris was surprised. He didn’t expect him to interfere. Before he could say anything, Jeremy smiled first.

Then he replied, "I don’t think there are high-tier corrupted beasts here in the wilderness. Even if there’s an army, it would be of low-tier beasts."

"Besides, I knew Commander Harris would be here. That’s why I came," Jeremy added.

Hearing that, the man was stunned. Then he realized he had made a mistake. This was City C’s wilderness, not City A. So there was a low chance of high-tier beasts living here.

The natural energy in the surroundings was weaker than in City A. The three female Beast Tamers understood this as well.

Not only that, they learned that Elder Harris knew this kid.

So they let go of their anger. But only Harris figured out that the kid wanted to use him to eliminate the threat here. Yet he wasn’t offended.

It was the job of every Beast Tamer to eliminate the threat of corrupted beasts.
