STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer
Chapter 443: Elder Derek and his team
CHAPTER 443: ELDER DEREK AND HIS TEAM
City A (14th Zone):
After ending the call with Elton, Dean Carolyn immediately summoned Elder Derek. She had made up her mind to send help.
She had heard about the changes in the wilderness, but she had thought the Human Alliance must be doing something.
She hadn’t taken it seriously before.
But now she was getting afraid. If City C had such terrifying beasts living in the wilderness outside, what about their own city?
They had made great efforts to deal with the beast invasion. There was only one high-tier corrupted beast behind that invasion.
What if there were more corrupted beasts?
It didn’t take long for Elder Derek to appear. He sat on the chair before her. She then told him about her conversation with City Governor Elton.
"Tier-5 Worm?"
"Tier-6 Lizard?"
Derek uttered in surprise. He knew these two beasts could pose a threat to their city as well. What’s more, he was shocked to know that these two beasts were lured out by Jeremy Night.
"He must have used the special liquid bought from the Beast Taming Association Store," Derek added.
Dean Carolyn nodded her head. But she was surprised by the result as well. She knew Jeremy Night had only bought 100 bottles from the store.
Yet it was able to lure out the hidden beasts living nearby.
She said, "I think the threat to City C is not over. The Tier-6 Horned Lizard has escaped into the unexplored area."
"Until they receive a statement from the Human Alliance, I don’t think the City Governors there will take other actions."
"So I want you to go there with a team," she added.
Hearing that, Elder Derek agreed and was ready to leave right away.
A few minutes later,
Elder Derek walked out of the office. He quickly met with Jacob and told him about the events. Instructor Jacob was equally dumbfounded.
He was the one who had given the idea of the special liquid. He hadn’t expected it to work out.
"No, it has worked better than I had imagined," Jacob thought.
"I’m taking a few people with me. I will keep you posted," Derek said.
Jacob couldn’t leave the campus. He was an instructor there. He had a lot of work to do. So he told Elder Derek that he would take care of things there.
Because Elder Derek was the Head of the First-Year Department, if he wasn’t there, Jacob would have to do a lot of work.
Derek then left the place.
The next morning,
Derek left with a small team of Beast Tamers.

City C (14th Zone):
Jeremy woke up from his sleep in the morning. Yesterday’s incident flashed in his mind. To be honest, he should be going back to the 10th Zone.
But the crisis here seemed to be larger than he had thought. It wouldn’t be solved in one day. He had had a conversation with his mother.
But she refused to come to the 10th Zone at the time. He knew his father’s answer would be the same. He looked at the outside scene through the window.
Elder Harris was hiding something. There was a reason for high-tier beasts to live nearby despite the weak natural energy in the surroundings.
He thought the high-tier beasts were being forced. If they were doing it voluntarily, they would have already attacked the city.
So he was curious about the reason. Then he collected his thoughts and got out of bed. He started doing his morning routine.
An hour later,
He walked out of the room. He went to the dining area to have breakfast. Jeremy saw his father and mother.
He started speaking to them before taking a seat.
Ron Night had a serious expression. The crisis they faced was not solved yet. The higher-ups were dissatisfied with his son’s actions.
He wouldn’t be able to do anything if the Human Alliance took action.
He turned toward his son and said, "Son, you are leaving the city shortly. I want you to stay back in the 10th Zone until the crisis is gone."
Hearing that, Jeremy was stunned. He didn’t expect to hear this from his father.
"It’s impossible. What if a beast invasion occurs? There’s a possibility of that. The beast invasion back at City A was caused by a single Tier-7 Corrupted Beast," Jeremy refuted in a serious tone.
"Here, there is a Tier-5 Worm and a Tier-6 Horned Lizard. If they had wanted to attack the city, it would have been another beast invasion," he added.
Nora’s expression changed as well. She was worried.
"If you had stayed silent, things wouldn’t have come this far. Elder Harris and his team were angry. They were never assigned to fight the Horned Lizard."
"If something bad had happened, the consequences would have been severe," Ron Night said in a serious tone.
"So you are going back to your organization. There is no second discussion on it." After saying that, Ron Night stood up and left.
"Ron..." Nora uttered.
She then stood up and went after him.
Sigh!
Jeremy sighed. What he had done was clearly a mistake. There was no excuse for it. And things had really gone beyond his control.
He had hoped to lure out the worm beasts and other hidden threats.
But the hidden threat turned out to be a Tier-6 Horned Lizard. He then put these thoughts behind him and started eating.
Shortly afterward,
His father and mother returned. He told them that he would be leaving shortly. Only then did both of them behave normally and start to talk.
About 20 minutes later,
After finishing breakfast, he returned to his room. He was half-hearted. He didn’t want to leave. But he had no choice. Things were against him right now.
If he crossed further lines, the identity of a 10th Zone Beast Tamer wouldn’t save him. So he gave in and decided to leave.
He started to get ready and pack his things.
On the other hand, Ron Night and Nora were discussing it in the study hall. Neither of them wanted Jeremy Night to leave.
But they didn’t want the attention of the Human Alliance to fall on their son.
The Alliance had good and bad people. If someone with bad intentions shifted the blame onto Jeremy, it would ruin his life.
So they had no choice but to force their son to leave the city right now.
