STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer
Chapter 448: New crisis?
CHAPTER 448: NEW CRISIS?
City A (10th Zone):
Sun Wheel Organisation,
Head Frank began to access the intel report. He wanted to look at the information on the Shadow Moon Organisation. The information appeared on the screen.
He began to go through it. Not long after, his expression changed, because his guesses were right. The rival organisation was doing fine.
Instead, they had suffered the losses. Old man Frank’s eyes turned red.
"Neil Moon!"
"I didn’t expect his organisation to escape from this disaster," he gritted his teeth in anger.
Then he summoned two important elders in the organisation. Frank wanted to do something against the Shadow Moon Organisation.
He didn’t like the happy smile of Neil Moon. He thought Neil Moon must be laughing out loud at his organisation.
Shortly afterwards, two old men entered the office. They were a few years younger than him.
Once they were seated in their places, Frank immediately started asking about the Shadow Moon Organisation.
The two old men looked at each other’s faces. They understood that the Head might take action against them.
"Don’t hide anything from me. I have already looked into the intel," Frank said in a serious tone.
Hearing that, the two old men were dumbfounded. One of them had a white beard, while the other had a clean look.
The white-bearded old man’s name was Paul. The other one’s name was Todd.
Paul said, "Head, it’s true that they are doing well right now. If we don’t close our gap soon, then they might surpass us."
A cold glint flashed in Head Frank’s eyes.
Paul then looked towards Todd and signalled him to speak. Todd nodded his head.
He said, "It would be difficult for us to bridge the gap in a short time. Unless we recruit new beast tamers from outside."
Hearing that, Frank remained silent. Then he suddenly said, "We can’t recruit new people. It will further strain our finances. Instead, we can cause harm to the Shadow Moon Organisation."
Paul and Todd were taken aback. To be honest, they had expected these words, because the two organisations didn’t have a good relationship to begin with.
"If you two have any ideas, then tell me," Frank said.
Paul said, "We can eliminate their talented Beast Tamers. It’s the same as crippling them. No other talented beast tamers would join them in a short time."
"I agree with this idea as well. Only in this way can we stop their growth," Todd said in support.
Hearing that, Head Frank began to ponder. If it were another time, he would agree. But this time the situation was different.
They had faced the Beast Invasion. The whole city was feeling as one. They had joined together to collect resources to rebuild the damaged buildings.
If their actions were known, then it would invite harsh criticism from the public. The next generation might not join their organisation.
Seeing that Head Frank was pondering, Paul and Todd looked at each other. They could guess what was going on inside Head Frank’s mind.
Head Frank then said, "Let’s wait for the wilderness to open. Then we will execute the plan."
Paul and Todd agreed. They knew the risk of taking action inside the city. If the Human Alliance were to know about their actions, they could face harsh consequences.
The meeting came to an end a few minutes later. Both of them left. Head Frank then started contacting his friends. He wanted to know when the wilderness would be opened.

City Administration Building:
City Governor Marcos returned to the building. Upon return, he met with Enzo and Leonor. He then told them about the changes taking place in the inner area.
Soon, the Corrupted Beasts would reach the outer area. Once they were all settled down, then they could allow the Beast Tamers to enter the wilderness.
Everyone could return to their old life.
"It’s good news. We were getting afraid for nothing," Enzo said.
"It appears that the Colossal Beast was serious with its words," Leonor said with a relaxed smile.
Hearing that, Marcos smiled. Then he thought of another issue. The smile on his face disappeared.
He said, "We have solved our problem. But the 14th Zone is facing a difficult one."
"14th Zone?" Leonor uttered in surprise.
Enzo recalled something and his expression changed as well.
"There are reports that high-tier beasts are appearing near mid and lower cities," Enzo said.
"You are right. Something is happening in the unexplored area. Only the Human Alliance can do something about it."
"Until then, we should pay attention to the mid and lower cities in our zone," Marcos said.
"We had just faced the Beast Invasion. So other cities in our zone must be terrified right now," Leonor said.
Then she thought of something before saying, "Why don’t we send Beast Tamers from our city to patrol their wilderness border?"
"These Beast Tamers are doing nothing right now. It will take some time for the Corrupted Beasts to return to the outer area. So why don’t we send them there?" Leonor added.
Marcos raised his eyebrows in surprise. He didn’t expect her to come up with such a beautiful plan. This was indeed a good idea.
Enzo was shocked as well.
"It’s a good idea. In this way, we can help the mid and lower cities. But we can’t force them. Many of them are still recovering from injuries," Marcos said in a serious tone.
"We can give incentives to people," Enzo said.
"Incentives?"
"I don’t think they would need money right now. The organisation is taking care of them free of cost," Marcos said.
Hearing that, Enzo replied, "We can’t use our treasury either. The city is recovering right now. We might need it in the future."
Marcos frowned. He wanted to implement Leonor’s idea. Then he thought of an idea.
He said, "Let’s make it a voluntary service. If they have any special requests, we can try to help them."
"Voluntary service is good. We don’t have to mention the help. We can contact them personally after the mission," Leonor said.
"Okay," Marcos said.
"I will ask the officials to put out the statement. This will give relief to people in the mid and lower cities." After saying that, Enzo left.
Leonor decided to accompany him. She left immediately.
Marcos’s eyes turned solemn. He thought that the upcoming danger was more hidden and sinister. He hoped that the Human Alliance would do something about it.
