CHAPTER 451: LANDING AT CITY C (10TH ZONE)

City C (10th Zone):

Jeremy Night arrives at the airport 20 minutes later. After entering the airport, he walks up to the counter.

A middle-aged man is standing behind the ticket counter. Jeremy goes there and stands in line.

He looks around and finds that there are many beast tamers. Everyone is going for the volunteer task.

He didn’t expect this many people to be ready to do the task.

Soon, his turn comes. The middle-aged man behind the counter looks at him.

"Show me your task details," the middle-aged man said.

Hearing that, I showed my device to him. The middle-aged man received the device. He then checked the message.

After knowing that the young man was posted to City C’s Human Settlement, the middle-aged man confirmed the details with his own database.

When the information appearing on the screen matched the device information, he gave a flight ticket to the young man.

Jeremy gets back his digital device. He then collects the ticket before leaving the place. He then goes to the area where the flight to City C is departing.

To his surprise, he found that the flight was already waiting for the passengers. He was surprised that the officials were rather fast in their work.

He then goes towards the flight. After arriving there, he showed his ticket to the staff, then he was allowed to enter.

Jeremy goes inside and quickly finds his seat. He saw others were yet to come. Then he sits on it.

It didn’t take long for the seats to get filled. Apart from a few locals, most of them were beast tamers going for the volunteer task.

Jeremy opened his eyes for a few seconds. After taking a look at the people, he then closed his eyes to sleep.

Shortly after,

The flight takes off from the airport. Then it starts moving towards the destination.

Meanwhile,

The Sun Wheel Organisation’s Elders Paul and Todd have made other arrangements to eliminate their targets on the kill list.

Though arranging tasks was not in their hands, they contacted their people who were going to the same location as their targets.

The people include the members of the Sun Wheel Organisation and the professional killers. They have their eyes on the target.

For example, on the same flight as Jeremy Night, a professional killer was traveling. He marked Jeremy Night as one of the targets on the kill list.

Not only is the Sun Wheel Organisation doing this heinous act, but some Beast Taming Families are committing this crime as well.

But the City Governors didn’t have a clue. They are sending Beast Tamers for this volunteer task.

Time passed,

The flight reached City C a few hours later. The officials from the City Governor’s office were waiting there to greet the Beast Tamers.

Shortly afterward,

The flight touched down. When the flight came to a halt, the door was opened. The passengers exited one by one.

Jeremy Night wakes up. After seeing that he had reached his destination, he stood up to leave as well. He goes to the exit.

Then he follows the people to reach the main hall. He sees the officials standing there greeting everyone. In particular, they are greeting the Beast Tamers.

The locals are on their way to the airport exit.

Seeing that, Jeremy too steps forward to speak.

"Hi, I’m Jeremy Night from the Shadow Moon Organisation," he said to the bearded middle-aged man.

"Shadow Moon Organisation!"

"It’s a well-known organisation. My name is John. It’s nice to meet you," the bearded middle-aged man greeted.

Just like that, they started talking. Jeremy shows his task to John, who is one of the officials here.

John reads the information and understands that the young man was assigned to the human settlement’s patrolling team.

"I’ll take you there so that you can start your work right away," John said.

Then Jeremy follows him towards the exit. He didn’t expect to get help. Then he thinks it was due to the Shadow Moon Organisation.

Otherwise, why would an official waste his time?

A few minutes later,

Jeremy enters his car. Then John started driving towards the human settlements. The car hovers above the ground and starts moving in mid-air.

As the car moves in the sky, Jeremy sees the condition of the city down below through the window. Like he had guessed, the city was not that big.

He could see tall city walls on all four sides from here. City C here is slightly larger than his home city.

The buildings here are taller and greater in number than in his home city.

Not only that, but the natural energy in the surroundings is slightly weaker than in City A. But it was many times better than the 14th Zone.

He continues to watch the passing scenes. John couldn’t help but speak. He started to ask about City A.

But Jeremy was more curious about the wilderness outside. While answering the question, he started asking about the wilderness.

"Our wilderness inhabits many Tier-3 and Tier-4 Corrupted Beasts. Once in a while, we face a threat from a Tier-5 Corrupted Beast. But the City Governors would take care of the problem."

John explains while driving.

Jeremy’s eyes flickered. He sees no threat from this place. But his heart was not calm. There must be some reason behind this volunteer task.

Team Leader Gisela talked about the change in the wilderness as well. According to her, the threat could spread widely and affect the wilderness surrounding the human populace everywhere.

If he were a high-tier beast tamer like the others, he would have already entered the unexplored area to find out the problem.

It didn’t take long for the cars to fly over the City Walls. There are others who are going outside right now. Not only that, there are cars coming from the wilderness as well.

It’s because the activities have not stopped here. There are corrupted beasts living in the outer and inner areas. There is no core area in the wilderness.

Jeremy takes it as a positive sign. If there was any problem, then the wilderness wouldn’t be this calm.
