CHAPTER 504: CRISIS AGAIN?

Wilderness:

The next morning, Jeremy resumed his mission. His speed was fast in this morning sunlight. It didn’t take long for him to reach the border to the core area.

Surprisingly, there were no corrupted beasts on his path. Instead of getting into the core area. He started looking for the pine woods as soon as possible.

He doesn’t know what’s special about the Red Pine woods. He wanted to collect a few before going back to the city.

As the time passed, he came across different types of tall trees. But there was no sign of the Red Pine woods. He was sure that this was an area given by her.

Jeremy is not thinking too much about it. If he wasn’t able to find it, then he would go back. He won’t stress too much about it.

He was already walking on thick ice. Who knows? If dangerous beasts come from the core area, it could become a fight for survival.

But his luck was good. Before noon, he spotted a straight red pine tree over 100ft tall in height. Audrey Reed needs few materials for experiments.

He is not going to destroy the whole tree. He then started cutting branches with a rust blade. He spends time neatly cutting down woods.

An hour later,

He stored them inside the storage ring. Now he is ready to leave.

Creak!

A sense of crisis covers his heart suddenly.

Jeremy Night knew trouble had come. Fortunately, he had finished the work.

Swoosh!

Next, he started fleeing towards the inner area without turning back. He doesn’t know which beast has set his gaze on him.

If it’s a Tier-6 or above Corrupted beasts, then there is no point in the confrontation. He is running without turning back.

Croak!

The weird voice sounded again. It’s following him from behind. He felt goosebumps all over his body. He is not wearing an armour suit.

So he is moving at fast speed. Despite that, some beast is following him from behind.

When he felt a sense of crisis again. He started fleeing in the zig zig manner.

Croak!

This time voice sounded so close to him. Jeremy mustered up his courage. So he turned around to take a look.

He sees a giant frog beast. Its whole body is covered in black dots. Not only that the skin is secreting a weird liquid. The size was well over human height.

Not all the frog species grow over this size. He suspects it’s a Tier-5 or Tier-6 Corrupted Beast. Like he was worried earlier. He was indeed spotted by a terrifying beast.

"Explosive Steps!"

Jeremy Night used the movement method. The terrible force generated with every step beneath his feet. Because of it he was able to move faster.

Swoosh!

He widened the gap between the frog beast and him in the blink of an eye. He suspects it’s a core area beast. It won’t leave its hideout for a long time.

He believes after giving him a long chase. It will return.

Sure, it did happen. The Giant Frog stopped following him an hour later. Jeremy then doesn’t relax until he finds a cave structure to hide.

He never ran like this before. He was not stupid to engage with the Tier-6 Beast anymore. The mucous liquid in its body could be poisonous.

If he gets poisoned by such a beast, then he would die for sure. It would take a long time for him to return to the city.

"Hey, there is a hidden cave here!"

"We can rest now!"

"Damn, the Tier-5 Beasts must all flee to the core area. They aren’t that many beasts living in the inner area"

Jeremy Night inside the cave opened his eyes. He didn’t expect to have visitors. He is looking at the entrance. Then he saw a group of 5 people entering the cave.

Two were female middle aged women. The three of them were middle aged men. His eyes flashed with a glint when he saw their sun emblem.

They are from the Sun Wheel Organisation. He is wearing the moon emblem from the Shadow Moon Organisation.

Today, his luck was so bad that encounter the crisis twice.

A middle aged man spotted someone sitting inside the cave.

"Hey, look someone is here before us," the middle aged man uttered.

Hearing that the other four of them turned towards the cave. Then I saw someone sitting inside. The person was young and he was watching them.

One of the females saw the moon emblem badge. Her mouth curves into an arc.

"We got a lamb here," she uttered.

Next, everyone noticed the moon emblem. Their expressions changed.

"Should we kill him?"

"Our organisation seems to be different nowadays," The leading middle aged man said.

He is a Tier-5 Beast Tamer. Rest of them are Tier-4 Beast Tamers. He knew a mysterious young man visited their organisation not long ago.

The Head of the organisation was respectful to that young man. Everyone was wondering whether Head Frank Doolin had sold out his organisation or not.

If it’s true then they are not the old organisation anymore.

The female Beast Tamer said,"It’s just one young man. Look at his strength. He is just a Tier-2 Beast Tamer. He must have split away from his team."

"It’s a good opportunity to inflict damage to the Shadow Moon Organisation. So many of our brothers and sisters died at their hands before. We should not miss this opportunity," Another female Beast Tamer said.

Hearing that three men looked at each other. What if? The young man’s team was nearby. Then they would be targeted.

"Why are you guys hesitating?"

"He won’t have any trump cards," the female beast tamer said.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night is hearing them. His heart turned cold. More than the males he was angry at the females.

The 2 females didn’t want him to leave. Not long ago, he was targeted by the Sun Wheel Organisation. His name was on the killing list. These people didn’t seem to recognise him either.
