CHAPTER 553: CITY GOVERNORS (CITY-B)

9th Zone, B-City:

Jeremy and Lucas’ expressions were solemn. They could expect Beast Invasion in one or two days.

"Father, what should we do?" Lucas asked.

"Make preparations. I think we can start expecting orders from the City Administration soon," Matteo said.

"Now, you can go back to your room. I will head to the Main Family next," Matteo said.

Hearing that Jeremy and Lucas exited the study room.

Then they parted ways. Jeremy reaches back to his room. After entering inside, he closed the door. Then he walked to the sofa and sat down.

If not then the person will die due to corrosion of internal organs.

Jeremy sucked a cold breath of air. If he had entered deeper into the wilderness without an antidote, he would be facing death for sure.

Fortunately, yesterday he hunted in the periphery before returning to the city. He didn’t want to repeat the same mistake again.

Since he is going to join the Rossi Family team. He believes they will give him an antidote. Then he collected his thoughts and continued to read about other corrupted beasts.

In the city administration, an intense meeting is taking place. Many Beast Tamers have died. Yet the City Governors had not taken any action.

They were waiting for Beast Invasion to occur. But other forces are simply dissatisfied with their decision.

Numerous people are dying each day. The Purple Gem Snake Beasts are looking for food. They are hunting Beast Tamers coming into their territory.

They are not leaving full corpses behind. It made the forces behind them angry. They have come here to seek a solution.

But the City Governors are not changing their mind.

In the main hall, people seated at three seats are facing others. They are the City Governors. The first one seated is a burly middle aged man. He has black hair and a beard.

His name is Black Carter. He is a Tier-8 Beast Tamer.

A female Tier-8 Beast Tamer sat next to him is a female City Governor. Her name is Chloe Morgan. She has long silky black hair and eyes.

The third person was a brown haired, middle aged man who appears to be in his fifties. His name is Carl Reed. He is a Tier-8 Beast Tamer as well.

Three of them are pillars of the City B. Hearing the various complaints from people. They are having headaches.

It’s not like they don’t want to do it. They haven’t got clearance from the Human Alliance. They have also requested help from the City A.

The people from City A have their own work to do. They won’t come to help until there is an actual beast invasion. Otherwise, they would be wasting time.

They had even requested help from the Human Alliance. They have asked them to wait. They will send someone to clear up the lairs of the higher tier beasts. So that beasts won’t be able to reproduce anytime soon.

The City Governor Black frowned. He could tell everyone has lost their patience. Because the Beast Tamers are dying in large numbers.

"Alright," he said.

But his words fell like a thunderclap in everyone’s ears and hearts. Among the people, the Family Head of the Rossi and Croft were here as well.

Next, there is a pin drop silence. Seeing that everyone was quiet. City Governor Black nodded his head.

"I’m going to take a look tonight. If the situation is dire, we can stop sending Beast Tamers to the wilderness," He said.

The heads of the various forces decided to leave. They have come here to demand some answers. Now they have got something out of the meeting.

"Okay, you guys can leave," Governor Black said. His voice was neither loud or slow.

The heads of the various forces left the building one after another. When everyone was gone. It’s time for the City Governors to discuss.

"Governor Black, are you serious?"

"It could be a trap set up by the higher tier beasts. They are intelligent," Chloe Morgan asked in a solemn tone.

Governor Carl’s blue eyes flickered.

"Governor Black, these people are really impatient. If we recklessly venture into their territory, those beasts might use this as an excuse to attack our city," Carl said in a cold tone.

Governor Black has seniority above them. They have become City Governors later.

Governor Black’s gaze is looking at the sky through the window. His gaze looks deep.

"The population of purple gem snakes has grown beyond our control. We failed to exterminate their lair. Now we are facing such problems," Black said.

"More than that I have a feeling that other higher tier beasts are involved. I’m going to try to lure them out. Maybe we can convince the human alliance for urgent help," he added.
