CHAPTER 567: RECOVERING IN THE ADMIN BUILDING

10th Zone, A-City

Shadow Moon Chamber:

Head Neil Moon was disturbed by the news of the purple snake invasion. He had sent Jeremy Night there. Now, the kid was facing a beast invasion.

"It could be the kid’s 3rd Beast Invasion," Neil thought.

He had been trying to call his friend Matteo, but he was not picking up the call. His expression worsened. They could be fighting the purple snakes right now.

Then he thought of something before calling the mansion number. He thought there must be someone left in the mansion to answer the call.

The butler there attended the call. Old Man Neil sighed in relief. He immediately asked about the beast invasion and Matteo.

The butler understood that someone important was calling. He then started to answer every question. Finally, the old man asked about Jeremy Night.

The butler was taken aback. He felt guilty, but he had no intention of lying. He told him that Jeremy Night had volunteered to fight, so he had gone to the front lines 10 hours ago.

Now, the City Governors had ordered all active Beast Tamers to go to the front lines. He himself was preparing to go.

Neil Moon was shocked. His worst fear had come true. That kid had indeed gone to the battle. He didn’t know how to feel about it.

But he truly appreciated the kid. He didn’t feel the slightest regret for recruiting him from the 14th Zone. That kid was doing what others were hesitating to do.

More importantly, the kid was an A-Grade Talent, not an S-Grade, so he wasn’t receiving much attention. Neil decided to give better treatment to the kid.

He was going to talk to his friend Harold Red next.

Neil Moon ended the call and made a call to Harold.

The call connected quickly. Neil immediately shared the details of Jeremy Night with him. Harold was astonished.

He had been paying attention to the kid after knowing that he had a unique lifeline beast which had not made an appearance so far.

Now that he heard that the kid had participated in the battle, he realized he could very well be fighting the purple snakes right now.

A hint of approval flashed in Harold’s eyes. He agreed with Head Neil Moon’s request. Harold felt that Jeremy Night was qualified to be in the 5th Zone.

Jeremy Night had A-Grade talent, so he was qualified naturally. Earlier, Harold felt Jeremy Night needed to be observed more. Now, he thought it was unnecessary.

Both talked about the Beast Invasion. Their talk included the Blood Steel Mosquito and Vine Beasts.

Right now, the purple snakes were attacking. If the other two beasts made a move, then the other zones would naturally be alerted.

One thing that assured them was that the 9th Zone didn’t have Colossal Beasts. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be sitting quietly.

Meanwhile:

Team Leader Gisela Reyes was thinking about Jeremy Night as well. She didn’t know whether to call Jeremy Night a magnet for trouble or not.

The purple snake beast invasion was worrying her. She had not informed Jeremy Night’s parents. She was waiting for Head Neil Moon’s permission.

Even though Jeremy Night had the ability to fight across ranks, that was up to Tier-4 beasts. She still didn’t have confidence that Jeremy Night could take down Tier-5 Beasts.

If it were Tier-6 and above beasts, then death might be imminent. Only Head Neil and Gisela knew about Jeremy Night’s whereabouts. Others didn’t have a clue about it.

9th Zone, B-City

Jeremy used his blade to critically injure the purple snakes. Then, the City Guard members took care of the final killing.

It didn’t take long for the starlight liquid to be emptied. His mental zone didn’t have any starlight liquid left.

He then retreated to the city wall side. Bolton noticed something wrong and asked him, "What happened?"

"Elder, I need time to recover. My power has dried out," Jeremy said. He was honest. He didn’t want to lie. A single mistake could cost his life.

Bolton understood. It was already amazing that the kid could fight this long. Then he ordered the kid to leave. He would call for an additional member.

Jeremy then left the spot. Seeing that the other City Guards were nervous, the presence of Jeremy Night had reduced the pressure on them.

Now, he was going back to recover. They were facing the crisis again. It couldn’t be helped. They had to face the beasts without Jeremy Night now.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night felt their gazes. He sighed inwardly. He was not a machine. He needed time to recover.

He then returned to the main gate. Beast Tamers were coming from one entrance. The second entrance was left for the injured and dead people to be taken to the camp.

He walked through the gate, and no one stopped him. Commander Bolton had already informed the City Guard Captain here.

Jeremy then reached the other side. He saw many makeshift hospitals. There was a main hospital not far away from here.

He had not suffered any injury, so he asked around for the practice room. After knowing that he came from the front lines, one of the city guards took him to the admin building.

There were practice rooms for the city guards. The City Guard thought that the kid was a genius.

Because he could already see a dark, black, eerie aura taking form around the kid. It was also one of the reasons why the city guards didn’t stop him.

It was one of the clues that Jeremy Night had fought and killed many purple snakes.

After entering the Admin building, the guard showed him the room. Jeremy Night thanked him before entering inside.

The guard couldn’t help but say not to take too much time, because it was an ongoing battle. Every second was important to him.

Jeremy Night nodded to him. Then he closed the door and turned on the function. A pure natural energy started filling the room.

Jeremy sat cross-legged on the ground. Then he closed his eyes and started practicing the breathing method.

The unknown beast egg started absorbing the natural energy in the room. Jeremy put his heart at ease.
