CHAPTER 569: BLOOD STEEL MOSQUITOES

One of the guards asked, "Firearms are useless here. Why do you want them?"

"I use firearms to kill the Purple Snakes. But I ran out of bullets," Jeremy replied.

Hearing that, the faces of the city guards changed. They could see the black aura covering the young man. It was proof that he was not lying.

The person who asked this question was an old man. He stood up from his seat and walked up to the young man.

The old man was a Tier-3 Beast Tamer. Due to his old age and hidden injuries, he couldn’t fight; that was why people like him were guarding the makeshift hospital.

Seeing that the old man was leading the young man, the other guards were not surprised. It was not easy to find Tier-2 Beast Tamers at the front line.

The old man walked into the admin office. He then went to the old inventory and opened the cupboard.

Jeremy was standing behind him. His gaze immediately fell on the firearms inside the cupboard.

His eyes scanned the various firearms, but he wanted the handguns. So, he made the request to the old man.

The old man didn’t mind. He gave all the handguns with loaded magazines to the young man.

Jeremy Night collected the handguns into his storage ring. Now, he was more satisfied.

"Thanks, elder. I’m going back to the front line now," Jeremy said to the old man.

After saying that, Jeremy left the admin building. Then he rushed towards the gate.

The old man walked out. His eyes flashed with a complex glint. He had never seen Tier-2 Beast Tamers in this battle.

As far as he knew, one needed to be at least Tier-3 to participate in the battle. It wasn’t that Tier-2 Beast Tamers were required to participate; they had options.

So, he appreciated the young man. He hoped this kid would survive the battle.

Meanwhile

Jeremy Night came to the gate. The city guards allowed him to enter. He quickly started rushing towards his team’s side.

In a flash, he came to his previous position below the watchtower. To his surprise, the previous team members were there.

The middle-aged men Ben, Tom, and Dan were there. Melody and Kara were fighting alongside another team that had female Beast Tamers.

They were caught in the battle. They didn’t notice Jeremy Night’s arrival. Jeremy took out a handgun and started covering the bullets in starlight power.

At that time, he used his eyesight to find the Tier-4 Purple Snakes. He couldn’t believe the numbers.

They had been fighting for more than 10 hours, yet the number of Purple Snakes continued to increase.

His gaze locked onto the nearest Tier-4 Purple Snake. He raised his firearm and shot at the snake.

Bang!

The starlight-filled bullet pierced through the air with an air-tearing sound.

It reached the Purple Snake in the blink of an eye. The next second, the starlight bullet pierced through the eyes of the snake.

Puchak!

The brain inside the head was crushed. The lifeless body of the snake dropped dead on the ground.

Bang! Bang!

Jeremy then fired the next shots in succession. The Tier-4 Purple Snakes emerging from the forest were shot dead in the blink of an eye.

Four more Purple Snakes dropped dead on the ground. This was seen by other Beast Tamers.

The city guards were surprised, including Commander Bolton. He noticed Jeremy Night’s return.

He didn’t expect that kid to come back this quickly. He could see that the kid was doing better than before.

Earlier, he used to defend from the back. Now, that kid was taking the initiative to fight.

Time went by

The middle-aged men Ben, Dan, and Tom noticed Jeremy Night’s combat strength. Because of him, they were able to fight without as much pressure.

Melody and Kara were doing well with their team.

Everything seemed to be going fine.

But things were different inside the forest. The Tier-8 Beast Tamers were having a tough battle.

The Tier-7 Purple Snakes were being outnumbered, yet the Purple Snakes were luring them deep inside.

The City Governors were fighting in one direction, and the Family Heads were fighting in the other. So, they didn’t notice the small group of Beast Tamers going deeper.

This small group of Beast Tamers thought that they had successfully swept through the Tier-7 Purple Snakes.

A few minutes later,

They had gone so deep that they lost sight of the others. This small group didn’t even realize it.

Buzz!

At that moment, a small group of Tier-7 Blood Steel Mosquitoes launched a sneak attack on them.

The Tier-8 Beast Tamers and their Lifeline Beasts were caught off guard. The group suffered heavy injuries.

The Blood Steel Mosquitoes didn’t give them any chance of survival. Their cries for help echoed across the wilderness.

Governor Chloe and other Beast Tamers who were riding flying-type beasts in the sky heard the vague sound.

They confirmed with their Lifeline Beasts that the sound was real.

"Let’s go and check out the place," Chloe said to the people.

Swoosh!

The next second, this small group flew towards the spot. It didn’t take long for the Snowtail Sparrow to arrive at the exact spot.

Chloe looked down at the ground. At this time, the other Beast Tamers came to the spot.

The flying-type beasts were circling in the sky.

Suddenly, something caught Chloe’s attention. Chloe noticed Beast Tamers lying on the ground with a pool of blood surrounding them.

Buzz!

Then she saw something which made her body tremble. A 5-meter-sized Blood Steel Mosquito went past the place.

"Retreat!" she shouted at everyone.

Swoosh!

Then everyone flew away from the spot. If the Blood Steel Mosquito was alerted, it would follow them.

In the blink of an eye, they came back to the original place. She then ordered the others to relay the information to the other Beast Tamers spread across the wilderness.

Chloe then went to Governor Carl and informed him. Carl and his Crocodile were pushing forward.

After hearing about the Blood Steel Mosquitoes, his expression changed.
