STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer
Chapter 575: A Powerful Sniper!
CHAPTER 575: A POWERFUL SNIPER!
9th Zone, B-City
Jeremy Night arrived in front of the inventory room. He didn’t have keys, so he unsheathed his blade and covered it with Starlight power.
The blade shone with a bright light. He struck the door, and the Starlight blade sliced through it easily.
Creak!
The locking mechanism was cut down instantly. He opened the door, his gaze sweeping across the firearms.
There were various types of firearms, including different types of handguns, pistols and rifles. His gaze locked onto a sniper rifle.
A glint appeared in his eyes.
He picked up the rifle. The long-range sniper appeared to be brand new, and there were magazines available as well.
He was going to use the sniper against the corrupted beasts. He noticed that the bullets were larger than handgun bullets.
He inserted a magazine loaded with bullets into the rifle and returned to the sofa. He had read about how to use it, but he had never practiced with one himself.
He took out his digital device and began to watch a quick video on how to use this specific model. If others learned about this, they would be shocked to the core.
A few minutes later, he turned off the device and walked up to the window. He positioned himself to fire a shot.
Bang!
Jeremy took aim at a Tier-6 Blood Steel Mosquito flying above the watchtower. It’s the same watchtower where Commander Bolton was fighting.
Jeremy could see the black arrows clearly; his eyesight was already powerful. He used the sniper lens to make a precise judgment.
At that moment, he used his Starlight power to cover the magazine. He didn’t have any reservations. The Starlight liquid covered the large bullets in the blink of an eye.
Bang! Bang!
He began to fire continuous shots at the Tier-6 Blood Steel Mosquito. The Starlight bullets swept across in a straight line.
At this time, one of the heads of the Beast Taming Family, a Tier-6 Beast Tamer—injured the Blood Steel Mosquito’s wing.
Pfff!
The Blood Steel Mosquito lost its balance.
Immediately, the Starlight bullet pierced the compound eyes of the beast. The Tier-6 Mosquito was caught off guard.
Even the Tier-6 Beast Tamer was stunned.
Pfff!
The bullets were larger and more powerful than before. They blinded the eyes of the Tier-6 Blood Steel Mosquito.
Pfff!
In a flash, the bullet exited the eye socket and struck the brain, one shot after another.
The Tier-6 Blood Steel Mosquito stopped flying and fell toward the ground.
Thud!
Its lifeless body crashed into the ground with a heavy thud. The Tier-6 Beast Tamer widened his eyes in disbelief.
He couldn’t believe someone had shot a Tier-6 Beast to death. The Tier-6 Beast Tamer, who was the head of the family, swept his gaze across the area.
His gaze fell on the administration building. He saw a young Tier-2 Beast Tamer holding a modern sniper rifle. He was stunned.
He couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
"What the f@ck!"
He uttered foul words.
Boom!
Suddenly, a loud collision came from behind. He collected his thoughts and turned around. His contracted beast, the Flying Lizard, had saved him from another Blood Steel Mosquito.
The Beast Tamer shifted his attention and started fighting with this new beast.
On the other hand, Jeremy Night felt relieved. He knew it was not an easy task. The Tier-6 Beast earlier had been caught off guard.
If not, he felt the beast would have dodged his bullets. He had witnessed earlier how the Tier-5 beast destroyed the makeshift hospital in a span of a few seconds.
He collected his thoughts and started looking for other beasts. He saw both the Vine Beasts and Blood Steel Mosquitoes.
Compared to the Vine Beasts, he found Blood Steel Mosquitoes to be easier targets because they had a clear weakness.
As long as you blinded them, you could easily shoot their brains to kill them. But the body of the Vine Beast was different.
He didn’t know where the brain or vital parts were hidden. If he wanted to, he could use his Second Eye ability to find the weakness.
But that would take a lot of time, and he didn’t have time now. So, he thought it was better to take down the Blood Steel Mosquitoes first.
___
Airport
Many private jets were touching down. These were Beast Tamers who had gone to other zones earlier. Now, they were coming back to participate in the battle.
On the other hand, the real help was on the way. They had almost reached the border. A black, medium-sized jet appeared in the sky. It reached the airport within minutes.
It quietly landed on the ground.
Creak!
The jet came to a halt. The cabin door opened, and a team of Beast Tamers stepped out. There were close to twenty of them.
They were between Tier-7 and Tier-8 Beast Tamers. Upon coming outside, everyone turned towards the city wall.
They could see Blood Steel Mosquitoes and Vine Beasts on the city walls trying to reach the city.
A few of the Mosquitoes had entered the city and were engaging in fights with the local Beast Tamers.
"Vine Beast," a few Beast Tamers uttered in shock.
They didn’t expect to see the Vine Beasts as well. It was not what they anticipated. This was a recent development.
"It appears we need more help. The Vine Beasts are hard to kill," a veteran said in a solemn tone.
Hearing that, the others agreed. It was not the first time the veteran had fought against the Vine Beasts; he had participated in several past battles as well.
Lastly, a middle-aged woman and man walked out of the jet. They were the City Governors of City A. Both of them were Tier-8 Beast Tamers.
They spotted the crisis as well. Both of them exchanged looks. Surprise and shock were clearly visible in their eyes. The Vine Beasts’ appearances were completely unexpected.
They had to make a careful decision now.
