Chapter 578: Tier-8 Purple Snake wakes up
CHAPTER 578: TIER-8 PURPLE SNAKE WAKES UP
9th Zone, B-City
Commander Bolton spoke for a few minutes before leaving; he still had to do patrol work. Meanwhile, Jeremy Night shifted his attention to other things.
He started observing the surroundings. He wanted to know whether anyone needed help. Then, he noticed the destroyed buildings.
People were looking for survivors. Seeing this, he decided to help. He could use his eye ability to find them. He stored his rifle in his storage ring and rushed to the spot.
Meanwhile
Head Neil Moon and other Tier-8 Beast Tamers met with the Governors of City B and City A from the 9th Zone.
Governors Black and the others weren’t surprised. They had called for help earlier and were glad that the Tier-8 Beast Tamers had come.
More than that, the Governors were familiar with the veteran Tier-8 Beast Tamers.
"Head Neil Moon, you are late," Governor Lucian said.
"Yes, I didn’t expect Vine Beasts and Blood Steel Mosquitoes to attack," Neil replied.
Lucian said, "We were surprised as well. The Blood Steel Mosquitoes were few in number, but they were the most dangerous."
They were seated at a round table, discussing the corrupted beasts. They knew that Head Neil was not wrong.
"The corrupted beasts were cunning. But we still don’t know whether Tier-8 Beasts were involved or not," Lucian said.
Gasp!
A sharp gasp sounded. The Tier-8 Beast Tamers were as strong as the Tier-8 Corrupted Beasts, but the Tier-8 Beasts here were different.
They could give them a tough fight. Without help from the Human Alliance, they could not guarantee a certain victory.
"We need to urge the Human Alliance. They need to send a Tier-9 Beast Tamer who can handle these beasts," Serena said in a serious tone.
"We have already sent a request to the Human Alliance, but we don’t know their response yet," Chloe said to her.
"None of us can handle the purple poison of the Tier-8 Purple Snake. We have to safeguard the people. A single drop can wipe out thousands," she added.
Hearing that, everyone’s expression turned solemn.
Governor Carl was listening to everyone, but he had not spoken yet. He was deep in thought because he had found something weird about the corrupted snakes.
Governor Black and the other Governors noticed him. Since Carl was one of the Governors, his input was important as well.
"Carl, what happened?" Lucian asked.
Carl raised his head and said, "I’m confused as to why the Tier-7 Beasts have not come out in large numbers."
"If a Tier-8 Beast was behind the attack, then they would have sent out all their Tier-8 Corrupted Beasts," he added.
Hearing that, everyone shared the same doubt.
"Carl is right. The corrupted beasts are up to something. We have to be vigilant," Black said in a serious tone.
Meanwhile
Jeremy Night stood in front of a collapsed, towering building. People around him were shouting for help.
The collapse of the building had been caused by a Tier-5 Blood Steel Mosquito.
The mosquito had slammed into a series of nearby buildings, destroying them immediately and trapping people inside.
Jeremy started using his eye ability to scan the ruins. Under his gaze, the collapsed building became transparent. He could see iron, steel and pillars. Then, his gaze fell on the people trapped inside.
As time passed, he found more and more people. He began to save them, asking for assistance from those standing nearby.
The people were kind enough to assist; they started helping him immediately.
It didn’t take long for him to find the first survivor. They pulled the person out of the rubble and shifted him to the makeshift hospital.
As time went by, Jeremy recovered more and more people. The locals were amazed to see a young Tier-2 Beast Tamer rescuing so many.
Wilderness
The Tier-7 Purple Snakes, Blood Steel Mosquitoes, and Vine Beasts were deep inside the wilderness.
They had agreed to divide the corpses equally, so they had sent their members to drag the corpses back to their own territories.
These three groups of beasts had hidden things from the Tier-8 Corrupted Beasts.
But they didn’t know something was about to happen.
At this time, a Tier-8 Purple Snake sleeping in the deepest part of a cave woke up. The beast opened its vertical eyes.
They flashed with surprise and confusion. It was surprising because it sensed something wrong with the city. There could be more Tier-8 Beast Tamers in the city than normal.
The snake then shifted its attention to the wilderness. It immediately sensed the corpses everywhere including the corpses of the Purple Snakes.
Hiss!
The Tier-8 Purple Snake hissed. It was angry. So many corpses were in the wilderness, all killed by the Beast Tamers. But it didn’t know what had happened.
The huge body of the snake came out of the cave. Its oppressive aura immediately covered the beasts guarding the outside.
The Tier-8 Purple Snake appeared in the open. Its massive body became clear near the big tree. The nearby snakes lowered their heads.
The Tier-8 Purple Snake started inquiring about the news. It didn’t take long for the Tier-8 Beast to learn everything.
Hiss!
The beast was extremely angry. The Human Beast Tamers had gathered in large numbers for a reason.
The Tier-7 Beasts had attacked the city. It immediately ordered the remaining beasts to bring out the Tier-7 Snake in particular.
After doing that, the Tier-8 Purple Snake started moving towards the Vine Beast. Things had come to this; the beast decided to wake up the Tier-8 Vine Beast.
If the Human Alliance came, they would be in a bad position.
The Purple Snake reached the wide and large canopy. If it wanted to, it could crush the place, but the Vine Beast could be nearby.
Its oppression was hurting the other beasts. If the Vine Beast didn’t appear, they would all die.
The Tier-8 Purple Snake wasn’t doing it deliberately, but its presence was enough to hurt the other vine beasts.
