CHAPTER 579: PART 1: ALERT

In the dark, deep canopy, the vine beasts were all alerted, especially the Tier-7 Vine Beasts. Not all the Tier-7 beasts had left their territory yet.

Right now, they all felt the coercion from the Tier-8 Purple Snake. They soon found out that the Tier-8 Purple Snake had entered their territory.

The vine beasts became alarmed. A few of them immediately went towards the deepest part of the area.

A powerful, thick, long, dark vine had occupied that area. Right now, the size of the vine was many times larger than a normal Tier-7 vine.

It was wider than the trunk of a giant tree. From the size alone, it was evident that the trunk-like vine was a Tier-8 Beast.

The vine moved all of a sudden, startling the rest of the beasts. The Tier-8 Vine Beast woke up. It had sensed the presence of the Tier-8 Purple Snake.

Without minding the nearby vine beasts, the Tier-8 Vine moved towards the Tier-8 Purple Snake. The trunk-like vine darted out towards a spot in mid-air.

Swoosh!

If this scene had been witnessed by locals, they would have been terrified on the spot. The Tier-8 Vine Beast was enough to destroy a whole city.

The Tier-8 Purple Snake looked at the sky. It sensed the arrival of the Tier-8 Vine Beast. In a shot, a long, monstrous vine appeared in the sky.

Boom!

The tip of the vine struck the ground. The next second, the ground cracked. The surface crack began to widen.

In the blink of an eye, the surrounding trees and vegetation were uprooted completely.

The other vine beasts stayed behind. They didn’t go near the two Tier-8 beasts. Their coercion was too strong. The hundred meters around them was a no-go zone for the other beasts.

Hiss!

The Tier-8 Purple Snake hissed and said, "It took you so long to wake up."

Rustle!

The Tier-8 Vine Beast made a noise before saying, "What have you done? Why are there so many Beast Tamers in the city?"

The Vine Beast communicated with the snake.

The Tier-8 Purple Snake’s vertical eyes fell on the Vine Beast. Even with its massive body, it was not easy to suppress the Vine Beast completely.

Both of them couldn’t kill each other. The Tier-8 Purple Snake had the ambition of being the only overlord here. That was why it was trying to break through earlier.

"If the Beast Tamers from the Human Alliance come to our territory, it is necessary for us to stand united," the Purple Snake said.

The Vine Beast asked, "What about the Blood Steel Mosquito?"

"I’m sure the Blood Steel Mosquito must have felt changes in the city," the Purple Snake added.

"Then we can wait. If the Beast Tamers from the Human Alliance dare to enter our place, then we will attack the city directly."

"It appears they forgot our strength," the Vine Beast communicated.

In the city administration building, the City Governors and other Tier-8 Beast Tamers felt the changes in the wilderness.

The power they felt from the wilderness made their expressions change. Everyone stood up from their seats.

Governor Black, Chloe, and Carl looked at each other’s faces. They seemed to think of something. Governor Lucian and Serena were also looking at them.

Head Neil Moon’s heart stirred. His friends and others remained silent because everyone felt the same power surge coming from the wilderness.

Governor Black took a deep breath before saying, "It could be a Tier-8 Beast."

Gasp!

An exclamation sounded.

During the discussion, Governor Carl brought up a point, wondering whether Tier-8 beasts were behind it. If it were true, then they would need the help of the Human Alliance.

"What should we do?"

"The power surge felt real. We should contact the Human Alliance," Carl said to them.

Hearing that, Governor Lucian and Serena understood what was going on. For a second, they were confused by the sudden power surge.

"I think it’s true. Contact the Human Alliance right now. The emergence of a Tier-8 Beast is no joke. They pose a direct threat to the city," Lucian said.

"I will also contact them on behalf of City A," he added.

"Okay," Black replied.

"Should we evacuate the people?" Chloe asked out of urgency.

Hearing that, Black gave it a thought before saying, "Let’s ask the people to hide in their bunkers for the time being."

"We can’t tell them everything for the time being," he added.

"It’s a good idea. Let’s provide safe shelter to the locals first," Serena said.

Head Neil and other Beast Tamers who came to help were listening to them. Earlier, he had thought about visiting the Rossi Family.

Now he thought it was unnecessary. His priority should be helping out the people here.

While they were discussing, he said, "I’m going to try to shift the people to a safe location."

Hearing Head Neil Moon’s words, everyone was surprised because he was a Tier-8 Beast Tamer with a status not inferior to theirs.

Governor Black, Chloe, and Carl thanked him.

After some talk, Head Neil Moon left with the others to help the people.

Meanwhile

Jeremy Night had been helping out people. Because of his help, the locals were able to recover people trapped under the rubble.

They were immediately admitted to the makeshift hospital. The count of rescued people reached more than 160.

The City Guard captains and guards were surprised. Even the Commanders on the watchtowers were taken aback.

It didn’t take long before Jeremy Night decided to take a rest. He returned to the admin building. To his surprise, Head Neil was waiting there.

"Kid, it appears you helped out a lot of people," Head Neil Moon said.

Hearing that, Jeremy smiled and said, "Head, I just helped a few people. But the real threat is not over yet."

A hint of approval flashed in Neil Moon’s eyes.

"It’s good that you were following updates. I’m going to tell you something, but you should not tell others," Head Neil Moon said.

Jeremy Night nodded to him.

"The Tier-8 Corrupted Beasts have appeared in the wilderness. They have come out of their hideout. The situation can turn worse at any moment. So be careful," Neil said.
