CHAPTER 580: PART 2: ALERT

Jeremy Night was shocked to the core. He didn’t expect to hear such terrifying news at this moment. The Tier-8 Beasts were present in the wilderness.

Which meant they could attack at any moment. Jeremy Night’s forehead was filled with sweat. He didn’t know what to do now.

Head Neil Moon saw through Jeremy Night’s worries.

He walked up to him and patted his shoulder. His expression turned solemn.

Then he said, "Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. We have City Governors from other cities here."

"There is still more help on the way. Besides, the Human Alliance will act soon. So you can relax," he added.

Jeremy collected his thoughts and calmed down.

"It’s okay, Head. I’m fine," Jeremy replied.

"Good, then take care. I’m going to help people move into shelters. If you need anything, then call me." After saying that, Head Neil Moon left the place.

Jeremy stood rooted to the same spot. It took him a few seconds to move. He was about to look for people to help when he saw someone coming towards him.

The person was none other than Nico Rossi.

Jeremy’s eyes flashed with a glint. He didn’t expect Nico to come to see him.

"Brother Jeremy, you are safe. I was worried when I heard you were fighting at the front lines," Nico said in a serious tone.

Hearing that, Jeremy smiled and asked, "I’m doing fine, but what about you?"

"How did they let you go?" he added.

"Brother Jeremy, we were helping family members move into the shelter. I used the opportunity to sneak out to meet you," Nico replied.

Jeremy Night’s eyes glinted with understanding. He thought that all the major families must have their own bunkers.

Because of the Tier-8 Beast threat, they were moving out now. Jeremy decided to continue helping.

"What are you going to do now?"

"I have decided to continue helping," Jeremy said to him.

"Brother Jeremy, then I’ll come with you. Let’s go around the city," Nico Rossi replied.

Jeremy nodded to him. Both of them left the place and started walking on the street. Jeremy used his eyesight to find important places, while Nico Rossi checked online posts.

People who needed immediate help were posting news online.

There were some buildings damaged by the Vine Beasts near the watchtower in other parts of the city. The people out there were helping them, but the process was slow.

Human Alliance

The officials in the Human Alliance got the report. They were discussing which Tier-9 Beast Tamer to send to help, because the Blood Steel Mosquitoes, Purple Snakes, and Vine Beasts were not ordinary beasts.

They could give a tough fight to the Tier-9 Beast Tamers. They needed to send someone who could take down these beasts.

Just as they were looking into it, it didn’t take long for them to receive another call. This time, the Governors of City A were calling them.

After attending the call, they came to know about the current crisis. The five City Governors had felt the presence of Tier-8 Corrupted Beasts in the wilderness.

It shocked the officials here. They knew how dangerous a Tier-8 Corrupted Beast was.

Earlier, they were discussing sending a Tier-9 Beast Tamer to deal with Tier-7 and below beasts.

Now that the Tier-8 Beasts had made an appearance, it was all the more important to send more than one Tier-9 Beast Tamer.

The higher-ups acted quickly. They immediately shared the news with the Tier-9 Beast Tamers who were free and currently staying in the headquarters.

Most of the Tier-9 Beast Tamers were not in the headquarters; their primary job was to explore the unexplored areas of the world.

Only a few of them were resting here, so the news reached their ears. Different Tier-9 Beast Tamers saw the news.

Everyone was familiar with the dangers surrounding the Human Zone and the cities in it. They were even more familiar with the top 10 zones.

So, they knew that these three beasts were not ordinary. The purple poison from the Purple Snake could harm them.

The Vine Beast had a stronger body than some of the giant trees. The Blood Steel Mosquitoes were even more dangerous. It was hard to kill them because of their hard defense.

What more? The Blood Steel Mosquitoes could absorb their blood. So, they had to be careful when dealing with them.

The Tier-9 Beast Tamers didn’t immediately reply. They were discussing it with others.

That night, Jeremy Night and Nico finished their work. Then they entered a restaurant to have dinner.

Fortunately, the corrupted beasts hadn’t launched any surprise attacks so far.

Because of this, they were able to rescue many people. Now they had a break.

Inside the glass room, both of them were having a conversation.

"Brother Jeremy, I didn’t expect you to be famous among the City Guards. Everyone knows you now. What have you done?" Nico asked.

His eyes were filled with surprise. During this time, while helping the people, he found out many City Guards were striking up conversations with Brother Jeremy.

Including some City Captains and Commanders. He was shocked.

On the other hand, Jeremy smiled. He thought that fame was good. His goal was to settle down in the top 5 zones. The resources there were abundant.

He then said, "I just killed as many beasts as possible."

Nico nodded and said, "Brother, you have to watch your back. The main family descendants and other famous children might have heard about you."

Jeremy’s eyes glinted with understanding. Then they continued to have their food.

About 20 minutes later, they walked out.

Suddenly, Jeremy turned towards the city wall. In this dark night, he didn’t know why he became restless all of a sudden.

Nico noticed the reaction. He asked, "Brother, what happened?"

Jeremy didn’t speak.

"Come with me." After saying that, he started going towards the city wall. He wanted to check things himself with his eyesight.

Nico Rossi understood that something bad had happened.
