CHAPTER 586: PART 1: NEGOTIATION?

The two old men exchanged looks. The tall old man said, "Why isn’t it coming out?"

"Does it want a fight?" he added.

"He... He... He..."

"It’s better we attack them first," the slightly obese old man said.

Hearing that, the Tier-8 Purple Snake hissed out. It was ready to release purple venom toward the city.

Seeing this, the faces of the old men changed. They also noticed that the Vine Beast’s other half extended deeper into the forest.

"Wait," the tall old man said.

Hearing that, the obese old man went quiet. He had underestimated the beasts. They were ready to attack the city.

The obese old man had forgotten about the city. For a moment, he thought they were in an unexplored area.

Knowing there was a city behind them, the beasts had held the upper hand from the beginning. If they had wanted to attack, they would have done so earlier.

The obese old man realized the seriousness of the matter. The tall old man remained quiet.

He then said, "I know both of you can understand human words. I wanted the Blood Steel Mosquito to be present here as well."

"They won’t like going back empty-handed," he added.

The sky-high vine moved in mid-air. It realized that the human Beast Tamer was threatening it.

"Purple Snake, he is threatening us. Should we fight?" the Vine Beast asked.

Though it was afraid of the Tier-9 human Beast Tamer, it still held the amusing thought that it could fight against him.

"Wait, if we attack, reinforcements might come. Let’s bring that old mosquito here," the Tier-8 Purple Snake said.

It knew the strength of the Tier-9 human Beast Tamer. It would be difficult for both of them to confront the duo, especially with the Tier-9 Lifeline Beasts behind them.

Both beasts made a decision. They looked at the human Beast Tamers and retreated.

Next, both the Vine Beast and the Purple Snake started heading toward the Blood Cave.

After saying that, he brought his Lifeline Beast outside. It was a Tier-9 Lifeline Beast.

An enormous, gigantic brown eagle appeared in the sky, its wingspan stretching over 5 meters. Its deadly sharp claws were longer than one meter.

The giant brown eagle made a sound before circling in the air. The tall old man ordered the Lifeline Beast to circle above.

The giant eagle flapped its wings. The next second, a massive wind force was generated. It immediately blew away the nearby vegetation and plants.

In the blink of an eye, the surrounding few hundred meters became empty. Not a single blade of grass could be seen.

Seeing that, the old man with the obese body summoned his Lifeline Beast outside as well.

A massive dark green turtle with metal spikes on its back landed. It was a Tier-9 Dark Green Turtle. The size of the turtle was massive, spanning over 6 meters.

A hint of fear flashed in the compound eyes of the Blood Steel Mosquito. It decided to come out. Otherwise, it would be targeted alone.

The next second, the Blood Steel Mosquito darted out from the passage. Its speed was so fast that it created an air-tearing sound.

In a flash, the Blood Steel Mosquito appeared outside. It moved upward.

Its massive body appeared in the sky. The Blood Steel Mosquito saw the Tier-8 Vine Beast and Tier-8 Purple Snake at a distance.

"What are you two doing here?" the Blood Steel Mosquito asked.

The Vine Beast and the Purple Snake appeared before it.

"You were late. The two Beast Tamers intended to attack us," the Tier-8 Purple Snake said.

"If we don’t negotiate, they will bring backup," the Vine Beast said.

The two massive bodies faced the Dark Blood Mosquito in the sky. The Blood Steel Mosquito understood the seriousness of the matter.

If it didn’t cooperate, they would face the wrath of the human Beast Tamers.

"Okay. Let’s go. We will face the human Beast Tamers together," the Blood Steel Mosquito said with a smile.

The three corrupted beasts then left the place together. They looked at the two Tier-9 Lifeline Beasts.

These two Tier-9 Lifeline Beasts were enough to kill all three of them. It was just the existence of the city with the human population that restrained them.

The three corrupted beasts moved toward the human Beast Tamers.

Shortly afterwards, the two old men saw that the Blood Steel Mosquito was obediently coming toward them.

All five City Governors spotted two old men standing in mid-air. They didn’t know their identities yet.

Before they could think further, they saw the Tier-8 Vine Beast and Tier-8 Purple Snake appearing before the two old men.
