Strongest Necromancer System
Chapter 240: Running Wild
CHAPTER 240: RUNNING WILD
Jason watched as Raya and the other Adamantine Ants quickly began to dispatch the other undead horses, but his eyes were mainly on the horse that lost one of its legs. The horse looked like it was seriously uncomfortable, but it didn’t look to be in pain. It moved around on the ground for a while before it began to rise up again with only three legs as it charged forward once more to attack an Adamantine Ant!
’Even pain is nothing to them. So this is what it feels like to fight against a Legion of Undead.’
Jason was finally starting to fully understand the sheer brutality of his own abilities and he could now see why most of the monsters he had fought against were so terrified of him and his Legion. Anyone would be scared of a beast that didn’t stay down no matter how injured it was. But Jason didn’t feel even the slightest bit of fear. At that moment, he was taking as much information as possible from the fight, and he was watching to see just how strong these beasts were.
Finally, after a few more clashes, Raya snapped her mandibles through the belly of one horse and tore it in half. The horse fell to the side with a loud cry and twitched for a moment before it went still.

Raya turned to focus on another undead horse and Jason put his hand out towards the fallen monster and spread his mana out.
"Resurrect."
Doon!
Jason’s mana surged across the area as it reached forward to try and grab the soul of the dead beast, but Jason felt his eyes narrow in anger when he found out that there was nothing there for his mana to hold onto! There was no fucking soul! Jason cursed as he realized that his fears were coming true! Jason already knew that it was a fifty-fifty chance for the dead creatures to still have their soul, but now he was sure that they definitely didn’t have it anymore. Jason wouldn’t be able to resurrect any of them!
ROARRR!
ROARRR!
ROARR!!
Loud roars filled the dark sky, and Jason looked forward quickly to see multiple arms breaking out from underground. The arms were pale and skeletal, and Jason immediately knew that these were more of the Lich’s subordinates.
’I need to get to that city and find a vantage point! I’ll get surrounded if I stay down here.’
Jason immediately called out to the Skyking and another Iron Bladed Falcon, and they appeared from Jason’s Alternate Dimension and let out a loud cry. Jason told the Iron Bladed Falcon to fly past the undead monsters and scout the surrounding for any sign of the Lich and he commanded the Skyking to take him to the city! One of the Undead horses managed to get past the Adamantine Ants and charged towards Jason, but Jason just smacked it away nonchalantly before he got on the Skyking’s back and told it to take off!

The Skyking flew through the air quickly, and Jason looked down to see more than a hundred different beasts emerging from underground and slowly clawing their way to the surface. Most of them turned up to look directly at him, and Jason frowned as he called Ragnar to test something out. Ragnar appeared from the Alternate Dimension with a loud roar, and Jason gave it one order.
’Burn them.’
Jason’s order was simple and straightforward and Ragnar circled around and headed down to the ground before it opened its maw and unleashed pure destruction on the monsters! The fire washed over the land like a blanket of yellow and Jason watched with narrowed eyes to see what would happen. Jason didn’t think that one blast would be enough to take them down since they were somewhere around Rook Rank I, but he was surprised when he got some notifications in his system.

Jason hummed as the Skyking swerved to the side and kept moving towards the city. The undead monsters weren’t all dead yet, and there were still some stragglers crawling their way out from under the dead bodies of their comrades, but Ragnar’s flames managed to kill a significant number of them. Jason commanded Ragnar to take them all out and Ragnar let out a roar and circled back through the air to unleash another wave of yellow destruction as he passed over them.
Jason didn’t think that the monsters would be taken out so easily by Ragnar’s fire, but that told him one of two things. Either they weren’t as strong as Jason gave them credit for, or they were actually weak to fire. The sound of more monsters arriving from the distance forced Jason to turn around and this time, Jason felt his eyes widen when he saw the monsters running towards him at breakneck speeds. There were some strange and unrecognizable magic beasts there that looked nothing like the magic beasts Jason normally saw in Gates, and Jason just guessed that they were from worlds that were too far away.
The monsters had large bodies with rotten skin that stretched over their body like soggy paper, but they still had enough intelligence to avoid some of the attacks from the Adamantine Ants and Ragnar. Jason didn’t bother to wait and see what they could do! He commanded the Skyking to go faster, and they soared over the surface of the city and headed for the tallest building in the distance! The city hadn’t yet been overrun by the strange undead monsters, but Jason could see some hands tearing themselves out from underground. He knew that it wouldn’t be long before they filled the city as well.
Jason finally reached the building and he let go of the Skyking and landed on the edge! Jason turned around calmly to watch the monsters coming towards the city and he raised his collar higher to cover his lower face as a harsh wind blew across the region and pulled the smell of smoke and rotton skin with it. Jason let his eyes roam over the undead monsters approaching him, and he thought about using the Black Fog again, but he decided against it since it used up too much mana. If Jason wanted to cover an area as large as a city, then he would lose more than ten thousand units of mana, and since he was trying to preserve mana as much as possible, he had to think of something else.
Jason’s face was perfectly calm as he stood in the midst of the growing battle, but his mind was running at a pace that would have caused nearly anyone else to go insane. Jason’s ability to consider the situation in front of him and come up with the best course of action was unparalleled by anyone else. It was the reason why he was capable of becoming the master of the Necromancer System, and it was also what gave him the confidence to stab his own lover in the heart. Jason knew that it didn’t matter how bad things got, even if he was fighting against the gods themselves, he would always find a way to come out on top.
’The undead are coming from the East and South. There’s a forest stretching far into the distance, but I don’t know how dangerous it is. There’ve been two waves of undead. The first wave was only at Rook Rank I, but the second wave came from deeper inside the forest, and they looked stronger than the first. Is every wave stronger than the one before it? I need to test that.’
