CHAPTER 284: YOU OWE ME

The moment Jason spoke about the Nuclear plan, Cersai’s eyes widened in surprise, and Jason scoffed when he heard the silence on the other end of the call. Jason had made sure that his Phantom spies stayed far enough from Cersai so that he wouldn’t be able to notice their presence, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t hear the conversations that Cersai had. Jason had spoken to the Phantom spy, and the spy told Jason that Cersia was already one button away from eradicating the entire city if he needed to. Cersai had no right to speak about protecting human lives.

Jason gave Fredrica a hard glare as he spoke to Cersai.

"I want you to remember this moment, Cersai. Carve it into your heart and your mind and keep it close to your memory at all times. This is the moment when I gave you your final chance. I am not my father. He might have tolerated your bullshit and worked with you, but I will not. I won’t kill your agent this time, but you owe me. If you step out of line ever again, if I hear that you got even a thousand meters close to anyone that I know ever again, then I will hunt you down, and I will end your fucking existence."

Jason cut off the call without bothering to wait for a response from Cersai before he turned to give Fredrica another heavy glare. Fredrica was still on the floor, and her face was set in a look of pure shock. Fredrica didn’t know how Jason had gotten the information about their Plan B! That was something that only she and Cersai knew about! Jason put his phone out towards Fredrica and spoke up calmly.

"Put your number in there."

A new wave of shock passed through Fredrica when she heard that request, and it showed on her face from how deeply her brows furrowed. For a split second, Fredrica actually thought that Jason was trying to make a move on her, but that thought was squashed the moment she saw the glare that was still on Jason’s face. Fredrica reached for the phone and she quickly put her number in before handing the phone back to Jason. Jason pocketed the phone while speaking up.

"I’ll be needing some things from you later, and when I call to collect it, you better fucking pick up. I’ll consider this your apology for what you did, so don’t make the mistake of pissing me off again. This is your last chance."

Jason turned around while calling back his mana, and Fredrica took in a long breath as the pressure in the room finally reduced! She watched as Jason fell into the shadow and vanished from the room, and she fell to her back with her hands spread open as she tried to calm her racing heart.

"So that’s the son of Richard Marc. Sigh~ What a fucking dick."

....

[In New Jersey]

The damaged city had finally begun to quiet down as the dragons and their riders were taken out by Jason’s Legion. The dead bodies had already been taken by Azrael, and he had returned with most of the Legion to Jason’s Alternate Dimension, but the Spidermonkeys and superhumans were still moving around the city to try to find any casualties that were either stuck or too injured to move. Most of the survivors of the fight were huddled in the basement of one of the last standing skyscrapers on the Eastern part of the city. The western wall of the buildings basement had been destroyed by one of the dragon’s attacks, so there was a large hole in the building that gave them enough light and fresh air.

Superhumans and civilians were lying on blankets, and there were many healers moving around to try to make everyone as comfortable as possible. On one side of the basement, Riyal was seated on her knees as she concentrated all her powers towards healing the injuries of the people around her. There was a long line that had formed as many superhumans came to be healed, and Riyala was using every single ounce of mana that she had to make sure that she helped them.

Riyala concentrated with a serious look on her face, and she poured mana into a deep gash on the waist of a superhuman. The gash slowly began to close, and it didn’t take ten seconds before there was nothing but smooth flesh there. The man’s eyes widened in surprise when he saw how perfectly Riyala had healed him and he thanked her profusely for her help. Riyala smiled at the man, and the man was led away by another healer as the next injured came forward.

Beside Riyala, Gina was standing with her hands folded, and she watched with a small smile as Riyala helped out. Gina knew that Riyala was still feeling guilty for the dragon riders coming here, but now that Riyala was actually doing some good, Gina hoped that she would feel a little better.

"Excuse me."

A voice suddenly called out from behind Gina, and Gina turned around to see Liam standing there. Gina’s eyes widened in recognition once she saw Liam and she gave him a respectful nod in greeting.

"Mr. Liam, I didn’t know you were here as well."

Gina still had a lot of respect for Liam since she knew that he was the head of superhuman correspondence at the SMD, and Liam smiled as he returned Gina’s greeting. Liam recognized Gina from when he first met Jason at the hospital where his mother was admitted, and Liam was sure that this woman was Jason’s girlfriend, so he did his best to show as much respect as possible when he spoke.

"I just wanted to ask what happened outside with the attackers. How did Jason handle it?"

Liam heard from some of the superhumans that Jason had come back at the perfect time and handled the dragons before they could completely destroy the entire city, but he was still curious to know just how Jason managed to deal with all those dragons and dragon riders. Liam saw a loving smile appear on Gina’s face when he asked about Jason, and Liam could tell that this woman was completely in love with Jason. Any woman who could smile like this while only thinking about someone was definitely in love.

Liam listened as Gina told him the basics of what Jason had done and how he killed all the dragons. There were some details that Gina left out since she didn’t think they were important, but in the end Liam had gotten a reasonable idea of what happened.

Liam let out a sigh of slight disbelief when Gina finally finished talking! Liam knew that Gina had told him nothing but the truth since she had no reason to lie, but a small part of him still couldn’t believe all of this! It was just too insane! A week ago, no one in the world would have even thought about Jason when the term ’strongest superhuman’ was brought up! There was no way anyone would assume that Jason was the strongest in the entire country! But now, there was no doubt at all that Jason was the single most important superhuman that the country had ever had! Liam was going to have to talk to the president of the country later about Jason. They need to come up with special privileges that would make him happy to stay in the country.
