CHAPTER 320: SACRIFICE AND BLOODSHED I

"You need to leave now. Are you ready?"

Riyala released a deep breath and nodded to Jason seriously, and Jason gave her a reassuring grin before he summoned Fenrir and a few Rook Rank Midnight Wolves.

’Make sure she’s protected. If the dragons and wyverns attack her and things get too dangerous, then use the shadows to get out of there.’

The wolves all yipped in understanding, and Fenrir moved to grab Riyala by her coat! Riyala let out a small scream as she was thrown up, and she landed roughly on Fenrir’s back before Fenrir and the other wolves took off at an insane speed to reach the Ashenvalley! Once they were gone Jason turned to look at what was happening in the fight! The large worms that Azrael summoned were still trying their best to eat the dragonriders, but the dragonriders were easily fighting back against them! There were multiple dragons spitting fire at the worms as they flew through the sky, but they were forced to back away when many of Jason’s dragon subordinates flew out from the shadows and charged towards them! Even with all the power from the Radagan soldiers, Jason knew that it wouldn’t take long for them all to fall. There were only fifteen soldiers and dragons in this army, and they were facing off against about a hundred of Jason’s subordinates! The Radagan soldiers were somewhere in the high-level A Rank to S Rank limit, so even though they all fought with their dragons, Jason’s subordinates were far too much to withstand!

Jason turned away from the main fight when he suddenly got a notification that one of his subordinates had been killed, and he looked to the side to see Jaraht holding a dead dragon by the throat as it slowly disappeared into purple dust. Jaraht was staring directly at Jason with dark red eyes that were narrowed into a glare, and Jason began to gather his mana as he prepared for a fight! Jaraht had seen Jason giving orders to the superhumans, and he noticed that Jason was the one who had the most power out of everyone here, so he decided that this was the first person he needed to take care of! Jason sensed Jaraht’s bloodlust easily, and his eyes narrowed as he felt his instincts warning him of danger!

ROARRR!!

A loud roar came from Jason’s left as a dragon flew towards him at breakneck speed, and Jason immediately sent a message to Ragnar! Ragnar let out a roar as it took off and flew past Jason before it slammed into Jaraht’s dragon. Jaraht’s dragon was larger than all the other dragons around, and Jason could tell that it also had more power than them, but that bastard didn’t have more power than Ragnar!

ROARRR!

Ragnar let out a ground-shaking roar as it dragged the dragon through the air and the two large dragons unleashed massive blasts of fire that lit up the Radagan sky in bright yellow!

KA-BOOM!

The other soldiers were being overwhelmed by Jason’s subordinates, and the superhumans were using their abilities to provide support for any subordinate who couldn’t take care of a soldier quickly enough! Gina was up in the sky with the Skyking, and both of them were using their projectiles to distract the dragons that were trying to help the soldiers! Jason only had five Rank II dragons in his legion that were going up against fifteen dragons that were also Rank II, but even with the difference in number, there were more than fifty Iron-Bladed Falcons that were serving as distractions and launching attacks at the soldiers and dragons! This prevented them from being able to focus properly and gave Jason’s subordinates the chance to take them down! And even when the Radagan dragons tried to focus entirely on the Iron-Bladed Falcons to take care of them first, the Falcons didn’t care at all since they were already dead! They willingly gave up their lives to serve as a distraction!

Gina shouted out for the subordinates to take advantage of the distraction to attack, and she swerved the Skyking out of the way as a giant worm rose from the ground and grabbed one of the dragons in its giant maw! The dragon released a loud roar in pain as its wing was almost torn off, and Gina immediately shot multiple wind arrows at the dragon’s head and disoriented it enough to make it easier for the worm to pull it down to the ground!

Jason looked over the entire battlefield in almost no time at all, and he took in all of this with only a glance! But Jason had to quickly turn back towards his own battle, and he activated a defensive artefact as a fist came down on him hard!

BOOM!

Jaraht’s fist suddenly slammed into a shimmering blue shield that Jason formed from an S-Rank artefact, but even with the protection, Jason still felt like he had just been hit by a fucking meteorite! Jason felt his feet dig into the ground as he slid back, and the blue shield around his body shattered into millions of pieces! Although Jason and Jaraht were the same rank, it was obvious that Jaraht had a far higher strength rank than Jason! Jason learned from his Dragonborn subordinates that Jaraht was a General who used raw strength to fight, so he knew that he didn’t have to worry about any bladed attacks! Instead, the best way to deal with him was to overpower him for a moment with his skills and then destroy him using one perfect attack!

Jason’s eyes just narrowed as Jaraht suddenly jumped at him again and raised his hand for another punch! Jason coated his hand in the [Adamantine Ant Armor] and used it to deflect Jaraht’s attack, but the General simply spun through the attack and used the momentum to unleash a kick towards Jason’s head! This time Jason managed to get out of the way quickly enough to avoid it! The kick slammed into the ground and the entire region shook from the impact! Jason activated [Wind Arrow] and shot out two large arrows at Jaraht, but Jaraht managed to slap them away easily! But that was only a distraction from Jason, and Jason used that distraction to activate another skill while jumping away from Jaraht!

[Necrotic Reanimation] has been activated!

DOON!

The ground around Jaraht rumbled, and at the next moment, a giant worm shot out from the shadow and tried to swallow Jaraht whole! Even if Azrael was not around, Jason still had the ability to control the dead corpses in his Alternate Dimension using the Necrosis skill! Jason knew that the giant worm was far too weak to hold the General back for long, so Jason wasn’t surprised when he felt an intense heat surging through the area! The worm’s body grew red hot as it wiggled in the air from the pain, and it didn’t take long before the worm exploded from the inside out! Jaraht jumped out from the body of the large worm with purple blood staining his General’s outfit, and from the look on his face, it was obvious that he was more than ready to tear Jason to pieces, but he was shocked when he saw Jason with his hand pulled back for a sword strike! Jason was holding a bronze sword-hilt in one hand, and Jason swung it forward while activating it!
