She kept looking back at me and said after a while, "And would you interfere if I go after them?"

She asked while pointing at Cornelius. The meaning was clear. She was asking if it was only Sophien that mattered to me.

Well, of course, she did.

"That’s for Sophien to decide." I also replied in clear words. If Sophien told me to, I would interfere. It was that simple.

Lauren kept staring at me while I kept staring at her, neither of us blinked while doing so.

"Haa..." She sighed after a while and said, "This is why I hate men. They’re so unreasonable."

"If you want I can make you love men. All it would take is a night." I said with a charming smile.

"Vulgar." She said with a disgusted expression before she stood up and left without another word.

Until she didn’t, Sirius and Cornelius were anxious about her making a move and it was quite funny seeing two powerhouses on edge like that.

They both heaved a sigh of relief once Lauren left and just as they were relaxed, they turned to me and gave me the most threatening looks ever.

"HAVE YOU GONE CRAZY??!!!" They both yelled in unison.

I stared at them with a stoic expression before I said, "She left without a fight, didn’t she?"

Well, given the fact that she wasn’t here to fight in the first place had some contribution to that fact.

"Relax." I said as I stood up and said, "She was just here to try her luck. She will make a move but not right now. Not when everything is in turmoil."

True she came here to try her luck, but she wasn’t unaware of the situation of the human world. If she were to do anything troubling right now, she would be making a lot of enemies.

The entire human world would stand against her. She wouldn’t want that even if she hated all the men and desired power like none other.

She was ambitious. She wasn’t stupid.

"Just let me deal with her right now," I said. I was now on her radar with all the swearing anyway.

I left the two anxious old men behind and made my way to the training room.

Just because she was momentarily dealt with, doesn’t mean she wouldn’t strike back.

She definitely would.

I just needed to make sure my team was ready to face her.

So to prepare for that, I would have to break them.

Break them to the point of almost dying but ironically, that would save their lives as well.
