CHAPTER 555: DO NOT READ

Chapter 304

While I understand their impulse to hate this planet, I couldn’t help but think there was something more to opening this singularity.

One thing was for sure was that they weren’t going home. They couldn’t. Whatever this was, it wouldn’t open a gate unless properly opened using this power.

[And even if they had the method, they wouldn’t have enough power]

’That’s right.’ Cause I was taking it.

"Anghh!!!"

"Gahhh!!!" Zefton and Eric, along with some others tried to strike the shield but it just wouldn’t open up. Of course, I didn’t tell them to not waste their time because I didn’t have any to waste either.

As soon as the circle drawn from my blood was complete which almost everyone was focused on, I grabbed everyone and started shocking them in the circle.

"Grab each other’s hand," I said before I entered the circle myself. I stood in the middle, in the smaller circle within the bigger one, and began to infuse my light element into it.

I could have just simply used this method to run away and teleport us far away. However, if I were to do so, the demon empire would be gone. Almost all of it.

Now I didn’t hold any special empathy for demons but that didn’t mean they deserved to die. Just like there were bad humans, there were good demons as well.

And most importantly...

[There were children]

First rule of my life. Never an innocent. I’ve only ever once broken that rule and I regret it to this day. An innocent child was even worse. I never killed children no matter what. On the contrary, I did anything in my power to save them. I couldn’t even count how many times I’ve gotten my father in trouble by saving children who were out of time.

So, they may be demon children, but the word ’children’ was the keyword in that equation.

"Now," I said to get everyone’s attention once the life element was properly infused with the array and all the matrices were ready, "What’s going to happen next will confuse you. Don’t do anything stupid, stay with me, and do as I say. Got it?"

"What is happening?" Sera asked while everyone else just looked at me, confused at what I was even talking about.

"Good question," I replied before I added, "We’re all going to die."

"..." There was silence which gave a clear meaning that I needed to be specific, "We’re not actually going to die, but we’re going to die from the point of this world. Now we all have a choice here, we can either save millions, and go somewhere far away, or we can just save our lives and let millions die."

"I..." Sear began but...

"Shut up. You don’t get a choice." Why in the hell would they get to make such a decision? How old were they anyway? 16? 17? Even Eric, with his combined age, was only around forty or something.

What would they know about what the right decision was? They couldn’t even kill people properly yet.

They were all children.

[And you’re in a relationship with 5 of them]

[Wouldn’t that make you a pedoph--]

’Shut up.’

I kindly shut Allison up and said, "So, once again, don’t do anything stupid, just stay with me, and do as I say. Understood?"

Some couldn’t help but nod while some were still confused. Well, everything was going on so fast for them so it made sense.

"But wh--" Sera tried to run her mouth again but I shot her down with a simple, "Shut up!"

I then checked the parameters on the particle accelerator. The nagging feeling that it was for something else kept gnawing at the back of my mind but there wasn’t much I could do right now.

Even if there was a grand plan, with me taking all the power, well, almost all the power, I doubt there would be enough left for them to operate their diabolical plan.

And...

Boom!!!

~~

A raging explosion close to me was all I remembered. What happened next was a little blur. I definitely remember mashing into someone’s chest, but it wasn’t Asmara’s because it was small and thankfully it wasn’t of a man since it was a little too soft for that.

[You remember anything of significance?]

’Isn’t that why you’re here?’

[No]

Looking around, and gazing at the night sky, I groaned in slight pain. It wasn’t pain from any sort of injuries, no, I kept that part in mind while constructing the array.

This pain was from the familiar rearrangement of molecules after a dimensional transfer. It was somewhat similar to entering the gate’s wormhole. Just a thousand times worse.

I had to redirect power to protect the others from the side effects so they wouldn’t be harmed. It wasn’t my first time doing this and I was safe thanks to that. The others wouldn’t have been able to bear the cost of dimensional transfer.

Their bodies would have broken down, down to the subatomic level, and then reconstructed and anything could have gone wrong during that reconstruction. It was a horrifying thing and sometimes, a man could become a woman as well, or worse, vice versa.

I was having a hard time imagining Rose or any of the girls as men.

Okay, now where to barf?

I hurriedly turned to my side and emptied my already empty stomach.

"He’s awake!" My wretch-filled voice must have alarmed others as hurriedly, the first person to enter was Rose, followed by the rest.

I was relieved to see they were all still women and completely women, thankfully.

Rose didn’t care there was a puddle of vomit next to me and hugged me like I was her grandmother.

Okay, bad analogy.

Rose hugged me tightly and said, "You scared me."

"You scared us," Sophien said as she and the rest of the girls sat by my side. Asmara asked, "Why were you the only one unconscious?"

"And why were you in such a serious condition?" Alicia asked.

"You are not sick anymore, right?" Laura asked.

I was touched by their worry for me and it warmed my heart. If only they were a year older and no one else was in the room.

[You’re a sick bastard]

’That I am.’ But the sight in front of me was a sight 10 out of 10 men would be envious of and would do anything to be in my place.

"I’m not sick anymore. I’m simply tired. I had to use a lot of power to activate the magic circle which was why I was exhausted beyond normal." I replied to all of their questions in the simplest of ways.

There was no need to go deep into explanation. Similar side effects could occur due to mana usage. So there was a simpler explanation about it than going into the specifics of my magic.

The magic I did and the magic they were familiar with were vastly different. My version of magic required sacrifice. Sacrifice of life. Of course, I never sacrificed anyone for it because being immortal, life was one thing I had in abundance.

And once I weaponized that element, I was unparalleled in the realm of true magic.

My life element was completely depleted at the moment and since this vessel wasn’t immortal, it caused side effects in my body.

They were temporary because, at the end of the day, the element I was applying and the amount of it was enough to fill up a billion lives.

"I am just thankful you are not hurt too much," Laura said as she hugged once Rose and Alicia had their turn. Asmara shied a little but she did it as well, just she kept distance between our bodies which wasn’t very useful given the voluptuousness of her body.

Finally, Sophien dug in and unlike the rest, she didn’t go for the hug. She went straight for the mouth. Now who was I to deny that?

I hurriedly ran a little bit of soul power in my body while she was approaching me in slow motion due to my fast speed and cleaned my mouth.

What?

I just vomited a little while ago.

And then she kissed me, passionately so, under the eyes of everyone. Even Layla and Sasha were taken aback by how straightforward Sophien was.

Sera, on the other hand, seemed envious. Well, a dense protagonist was the cliché, after all. He wouldn’t be well aware of Sera’s feelings and even if he was, he was too shy to act on them.

Anyway, that wasn’t my main concern at the moment. It was because four other girls were frozen stiff beside me, looking at the scene going on. I bet a hundred bucks each of them wanted to be in Sophien’s place yet not one of them was straightforward enough to do that.

Laura was, but not in front of an audience.

"We’re talking later," Sophien whispered in my ear before she separated from me. I knew what she wanted to talk about and I was happy to do that.

But first...

"Come out!!!" Thanks to the adventurous life of our protagonist, trouble had found us.
