Summoned to a Fantasy World With a Modern Military System
Chapter 22: Full Auto
CHAPTER 22: FULL AUTO
"Let’s see, so according to Dean the enemy outpost is supposed to be on that side," Allen mumbled to himself as he kept walking forward, his eyes gazing across the horizon.
There were still a lot of enemy soldiers present on the battlefield, both alive and half-dead.
This was something which was inevitable since Randolf’s forces outnumbered them, but the half-dead knights had just made it ten times worse.
"This doesn’t seem like it’s going to go smoothly, there are a lot of them," Allen said to himself, looking at the number of knights that stood between him and the enemy outpost.
Upon being inquired by Allen, Dean had told him everything he knew about the topic. According to his information, Randolf’s outpost was located on the western side about three kilometers from here.
However, he didn’t know the exact location of it. Which was something Allen wasn’t too worried about since Dean was just a normal knight; him not knowing classified information was the obvious outcome.
Well, it’s not like I’m dying to go on there and kill the enemy general for them. This isn’t my war to begin with, he thought to himself.
"Still, that went perfectly though," he said to himself, stretching his arms.
Now I just have to wait and hope things unfold like I want them to. No use worrying about it now. Anyways, let’s focus on the main thing now.
A surge of excitement flashed through Allen’s body as the thought occurred to him.
"Open Armory," he said out loud, and a translucent screen appeared before his eyes.
[----ARMORY----]
[-----WEAPON-----]
[M9 Semi-Automatic Pistol]
[MP5]
[-----DEFENSE-----]
[Light Kevlar Vest]
[Tactical Elbow Pads]
[-----RECON-----]
[Binoculars (300m Range)]
[PNV-57 Nightvision Goggles]
[--------------]
"Equip MP5," he said.
The next second his hands felt heavy as the sensation of his hands touching cold metal spread through his body.
His lips curled upward into a smile as he stood there with an MP5 submachine gun in his hands.
However, before he could celebrate any longer his head felt dizzy as terabytes and terabytes of information were forced into his brain.
Just like with the pistol, within a few seconds he was a master at using this weapon now. He knew the best way to hold it, the fastest way to reload it, the easiest method to control the recoil, all of it.
It was as if he had been using the gun for years and it had become a part of his own body.
Once the dizziness was gone the excitement he felt returned, as he began examining the gun in his hands.
Let’s fucking go! This is the first time I’m seeing the real version of this!
He removed its magazines and put them back in. He peeked through its iron sight and aimed it around mindlessly. He extended its buttstock only to push it back again.
He was like a child testing out and playing around with a new toy he had just gotten.
However, the only tiny difference between him and a child was that currently, he was in the middle of an active battlefield with a war going on.
He was aware of this as well, therefore deciding to control his excitement he focused on the tasks at hand.
Let’s see, as I thought levelling up is the only way for me to gain strength here. I uhh... can learn magic also but that’s not really a priority for me.
Yes I did enjoy reading those novels but guns are better any day. Anyway, I should be focusing on levelling up as much as I can right now since there is basically a free for all unlimited EXP event.
And I need to make the most of it to reach the highest level I can manage now. After all, that’s my only hope of getting some good reconnaissance equipment.
To be honest, I wouldn’t have minded if I got some good recon equipment instead of the MP5. After all, the guns are good and all but information is the best weapon of all time.
I have gotten what... night goggles this time, right? Well, they aren’t bad. Quite helpful actually. However I want something a bit more large scale.
Allen was yet again lost in his thoughts that the world around him began to recede.
He didn’t notice the air in front of him start to ripple with heat. He didn’t realize one of the knights in the distance was pointing his finger directly at him.
A ball of orange flame, as big as his head, was hurtling through the air straight at him. It had a stream of smoke and sparks trailing behind it.
FUCK—!
There wasn’t any time to think. His body moved on its own.
Propelled by the buffs of the system and raw adrenaline, he flung himself sideways, crashing onto the ground with his shoulders tucked before rolling to the side.
The fireball struck the very place he had been standing a split second before.
The ground shook from the resulting explosion. A blast of sheer heat swept across his back as if someone had flung open an oven door behind him.
Rocks, dirt, and charred grass were flung into the air.
He continued to roll, carrying his momentum with him as he gained clearance and rose on one knee a few feet away.
His ears were ringing. The acrid smell of burned dirt filled his nostrils. The place where he had been standing a moment ago now turned into a burning black crater.
He was very harshly reminded of the fact that he was in the middle of a war, and that it wasn’t a place where he could afford to zone out.
They weren’t half-deads this time but actual knights who still had full control over their bodies, at least for now.
Along with the knights there was what looked like a mage, the one who had launched that fireball at Allen.
"This is one weird looking lad," the knights talked amongst themselves, looking at Allen’s weird attire while they raised their swords, ready to cut him into pieces.
"Oh you’re welcome. You all came at just the right time," Allen said, looking at the knight in front of him.
Without listening to any of his words, the mage again launched a fireball at him. Allen dashed backward, making use of all the buffs that were currently active on him.
Buy 50 9mm bullets.

The MP5 which he had kept back into the armory appeared in his hands as he knelt down on one knee and assumed a rigid position.
He aimed at them, looking through the iron sight he saw the three knights charging toward him while the mage waited behind.
He pressed the trigger, and a loud noise was heard which startled the knights a bit.
But before their brains could even register what happened, the mage behind them fell to the ground with a low thud.
The knights turned around to look at what had happened and saw a clear hole in the mage’s head, with his blood slowly spurting out of it.
"What the fuck did you do?!" one of the knights screamed at Allen while charging toward him.
Allen didn’t reply to him, a stern expression maintained on his face.
His thumb flicked a small switch on the side of the MP5.
Click. The gun was now on full auto.
He wasn’t aiming for the head this time. He didn’t need to.
He squeezed the trigger.
BRRRRRRRRRRT!
A deafening roar tore through the air. A stream of fire shot from the end of the gun as hot metal casings flew out the side, shining in the sun as they hit the dirt.
The knight had no time to react or even scream. The wall of bullets slammed into him.
His metal armor, made to stop a sword, shattered into pieces.
The rest of the bullets tore right through him.
His charge stopped instantly as his body shook violently, the bullets hitting him again and again.
The second knight right behind him met the same fate. The spray of bullets cut him down, turning his chest into a bloody mess of blood, flesh, and metal.
The third one wasn’t any different. There was no way they could possibly come out of this alive.
It was a monstrosity they had never even imagined.
All three knights fell to the ground in a tangled heap of broken armor and bodies.
Silence fell again. The only sound was the soft tink, tink, tink of the last few bullet casings landing on the ground while the sharp smell of gunpowder filled the air.
Allen let go of the trigger. A little bit of smoke curled up from the barrel of his MP5. He looked at the mess he had just made.
So that’s full auto, huh, he thought. I think I might like this more than I thought I would.
"System, use all the available CP to buy 9mm bullets," he said out loud.
[Understood.]
[Purchase Successful.]
The system’s translucent screen hung before his eyes in complete silence, other than the noise of swords clashing with each other and people letting out their last screams.
This was a battlefield, after all.
"Equip all the available defense equipment," Allen said as he stood up.
[Understood.]
[Equipped Light Kevlar Vest and Tactical Elbow Pads.]
