Chapter 258 Interview
CHAPTER 258: CHAPTER 258 INTERVIEW
Too much.. so full of fantasy and creativity! Such a speech shouldn’t even be at a medical conference.
After Jiang Cheng finished speaking, the originally silent venue instantly became lively, and everyone started discussing intensely.
"This is nonsense—nonsense!"
"Nonsense, how can this be appropriate, how can this be appropriate! This is the Hasslo Medical Lecture, not some cinema or movie script center! What the hell is he talking about!
"Does he really know what he’s talking about? Does he think just because he won a Nobel Prize in Medicine he can say such ridiculous things? It’s absurd!"
"What a laughable guy, this kind of attention-grabbing remark can only be said by an outsider who knows nothing. He is supposed to be a young talent who won the Nobel Prize in Medicine, I used to look up to him, but now he’s just fooling around?"
"Absolutely ridiculous! So preposterous!"
Faced with Jiang Cheng’s incredibly advanced remarks, many professors in the medical field present were unable to accept a theory that almost negates their long-standing efforts.
Only a few professors who had done in-depth research in genetics couldn’t help but be excited after hearing these words, completely stirred up by Jiang Cheng’s speech!
Every word Jiang Cheng said resonated with them tremendously. There is probably nothing more agreeable to them than this in the world!
The future of medicine as described by Jiang Cheng moved them so deeply. Indeed, the future should be like this!
"Brilliantly said, such advanced thinking."
"Genes are the future of humanity!"
"Originally, I thought he was just a kid, but who knew he had such insights! Though bold, it’s incredibly impressive!"
"I really admire this kid! He spoke so well!" However, these academic leaders in the genetic domain were the minority; most people still firmly opposed Jiang Cheng’s theory. How could they accept such inexplicable and seemingly sensational remarks? It’s simply impossible!
As for the reporters, they didn’t care whether Jiang Cheng’s statements were ridiculous. They only knew this was news, and big news at that!
What kind of news attracts the most attention? Naturally, news full of controversy!
Anything filled with controversy will spark discussion, debate, and even arguments.
The more people argue, the more naturally it becomes a hot topic. This is the case in every country. At this moment, Jiang Cheng’s controversial advanced theory instantly ignited the entire Hasslo Lecture Hall.
If such remarks were published in the media and made public, the ensuing waves could be imagined.
Jiang Cheng didn’t care what kind of bombshell he dropped. He smiled and left the stage—leaving as leisurely as he came.
After the speech, naturally, some reporters applied for an interview. Jiang Cheng didn’t reject all of them and agreed to two news media outlets, giving them the opportunity to interview him.
The two media outlets granted the interview privilege were the renowned New York Times and not a local media from the United States, but the UK’s BBC. These are both hugely influential companies.
However, being able to get the chance to interview Jiang Cheng, both the reporters from the New York Times and BBC appeared extremely excited.
They understood very well how rare this opportunity was!
Jiang Cheng rarely appeared in media interviews, and now, he made an exception to accept theirs.
BBC’s interviewer, named William, was a handsome man with a full head of golden hair.
And the New York Times’ interviewer was named Lolos, a very beautiful woman.
Coming before Jiang Cheng, as the interview formally began, William and Lolos started interviewing in order.
William asked the first question, getting straight to a sharp point: "Mr. Jiang Cheng... Not long ago, your speech’s theme was ’Research and Analysis on Gene Evolution Potential: Main Research Projects in the Future Medical Field’ instead of the Qing Tengsu invention and research that won the Nobel Prize in Medicine long ago. What made you boldly choose this topic?"
Facing the interview, Jiang Cheng replied faintly: "The reason is simple, because I simply feel that there’s nothing noteworthy about Qing Tengsu."
It’s obvious that Lolos and William agreed that after William asked, Lolos would continue: "However, after your theoretical speech, many professors present were visibly agitated. They seemed to vehemently disagree with your theory and even expressed their anger toward it... Did you ever consider this point?"
"Why should I consider this?" Jiang Cheng shook his head and smiled: "The theoretical speeches I present are all results of my contemplation—no matter how others view it, I just need to do my own thing. As a man who leads this era, whatever I do, others are destined not to fully understand—because they know nothing."
... "Do you mean to say that the many professors and doctors present are utterly ignorant in the medical field?" William picked up on this point sharply, his eyes lighting up as he quickly probed further.
"Not exactly." Jiang Cheng shook his head. Even if he internally looked down on them, he had to give them some face, so he smiled as he answered William’s interview: "In the academic field, they are incredibly formidable characters. Their insight and knowledge are impeccable, after all, they are the people standing at the pinnacle of this world, this cannot be denied. But clearly, they are too constrained by their current understanding—when I suddenly propose such an advanced theory, to rebut due to ignorance and stupidity would indeed be unwise.
Although Jiang Cheng left some face for those old-timers and didn’t directly launch an all-out attack, his remarks were still full of animosity. Even though he tried to restrain himself, it still felt explosive!
These remarks left William and Lolos, who were interviewing, feeling rather uneasy!
In just the speech paper, Jiang Cheng clearly expressed his stance. His aim is assertive. If out of cognitive barriers you refute him, it is foolish. However, clearly, ninety percent of the professors in the venue wouldn’t agree with Jiang Cheng.
