Super Rich: I Can Hear Women's Inner Voices
Chapter 89: Mina’s Charm
CHAPTER 89: MINA’S CHARM
But Jake had only guessed half of it. Mina’s intentions were not about the wine at all. This wasn’t a drinking contest, so there was no need to get wasted. She had something much more important to do.
"Who was it? What did they want?" Mina asked.
"Director Alexon. He told me to thank you properly," Jake replied honestly.
"Just a small gesture, not worth mentioning." Mina also knew that Director Alexon had seen the letter she left and didn’t dwell on it. She then reached to open the wine.
Jake was quick, snatching the corkscrew first. "Let me do it."
"Be careful, this wine is expensive," Mina teased lightly.
Though it was a joke, Jake understood that the wine was genuinely pricey.
Carefully pouring a glass for each of them, Jake stood up and gave a slight bow, his expression serious. "Sister Mina, on behalf of the children at the orphanage, thank you for your donation."
The old Jake would have sold everything to repay such a donation, but things were different now.
After spending this time with Sister Mina, Jake felt she was also a woman with strong empathy and sensitivity. Since she had given this gift willingly, she wouldn’t easily take it back. What Jake needed to repay wasn’t money, but an expression of sincerity.
The words he wanted to say were stuck in his throat, so he poured them into the wine instead. This was one of the unspoken rules of drinking culture—shared emotion.
"Gulp..." Jake downed his glass in one go.
Mina also drank her glass of wine in one shot.
"Sister Mina, this is my..."
"Hey, you’re here to keep me company. How can you just watch without drinking? Are you looking down on my alcohol tolerance?" Mina raised an eyebrow, questioning him.
"Of course not, of course not." Jake would never underestimate Sister Mina. With her drinking skills, she could rival some of the legendary heroes of ancient times.
"Stop standing there awkwardly. We don’t need to be so formal between us. Director Alexon’s matter was my own gesture, no need for this." Mina didn’t like the stiff toasting etiquette of business dinners, especially between people who were close.
Jake sat down awkwardly. Even with his mind-reading abilities, he couldn’t fully grasp Sister Mina’s thoughts.
"Understood, but I still want to thank you, not just for this."
"Who says otherwise? We’ve helped each other out."
Jake naturally understood the underlying meaning—he had helped Sister Mina catch the mole, and she had helped him.
"Want to thank me? Then, bottoms up!"
Jake shook his head but raised his glass anyway...
"Tick... tock..."
The clock on the wall pointed to 2 PM.
In the bright dining room sat a handsome young man and a beautiful woman. The steaming dishes had been mostly eaten, and the two bottles of wine were nearly empty, one completely finished.
Mina’s fair cheeks were flushed red, like a ripe apple, as she lounged lazily in her chair, her eyes glistening as she gazed at Jake.
Jake was also feeling the effects, his head slightly dizzy. At first, he hadn’t understood why Sister Mina was wearing that golden nightgown at home, as her usual outfits were more open and sexy.
But Jake was drunk, so his thoughts were scattered. Why did he care what she wore? Did he really think Sister Mina liked him?
These were the muddled thoughts running through Jake’s mind.
The warmth from the alcohol wasn’t just in their stomachs—there was also a faint, indescribable sense of ambiguity between them.
"Jake, let’s continue the Truth or Dare game from last time," Mina suggested, her beautiful eyes fixed on him.
"Sure, whatever Sister Mina says, I’ll do," Jake replied, feeling a bit stuffy in his chest. He tugged at his collar to loosen it slightly before answering.
Swirling the last half-glass of wine in her hand, Mina said meaningfully, "You go first."
"Okay." Jake tilted his head, thinking for a moment before slowly asking, "Do you have someone you like?" After a bottle of wine, Jake’s mind was still clear, and he fully understood the atmosphere.
He wanted to confirm something—something he already knew but wasn’t entirely sure about.
After a long silence, Mina answered, "Yes."
"Who?" Jake blurted out, intending to use his mind-reading ability to get the answer, but it didn’t work.
Mina was no ordinary woman. She wouldn’t reveal her feelings so easily before she was ready.
"That’s the second question! My turn now." Mina smiled faintly.
Jake smacked his forehead. "My bad." He then finished the last of his wine.
"Ask away, Sister Mina."
"Wait a sec." Mina stood up, leaving Jake puzzled as she walked out of the dining room.
The golden nightgown draped over Mina’s tall figure, swaying gracefully as she left, carrying the faint fragrance of a mature woman. Under the hem of the gown, she was actually wearing black stockings.
"When did Sister Mina put those on?" Jake hadn’t noticed earlier—his attention hadn’t been on her outfit, and the golden nightgown was eye-catching enough that he hadn’t paid attention to anything else.
It couldn’t be blamed on Jake. At that time, his mind wasn’t on Sister Mina. Moreover, that golden robe was indeed eye-catching, and Jake really didn’t pay attention to anything else.
Savoring the last bit of sweetness from the red wine in his mouth, Jake waited patiently.
"Jake, come to the bedroom." Sister Mina’s magnetic, mature voice called out.
Jake’s eyebrows twitched involuntarily, but he didn’t hesitate. Hearing the voice, he walked into the bedroom.
The bedroom had a relatively simple style, likely a guest room. Apart from basic furnishings like curtains, bedsheets, and a wardrobe, there was nothing else.
The bedsheets and quilt covers were all dark gold. The quilt lay flat on the bed, and Sister Mina sat with her back to the edge of the bed, matching the scene perfectly.
"Sister Mina," Jake called softly.
Mina Wu turned her head slowly. Her flaxen hair draped smoothly over her shoulders. Her upper body tilted slightly, her full chest impossible to hide. Her perfect waist curved gracefully, and her lovely bottom nestled into the soft bed. Her eyes carried a teasing glint as her lips parted slightly. "Come, sit here."
"Did I really share a bed with Sister Mina before?" For some reason, this thought suddenly echoed in Jake’s mind.
As if enchanted, or perhaps because he felt familiar with Sister Mina now, even though she was exuding temptation, Jake didn’t avoid her at all. He obediently sat down as told.
"Take off your shoes, get on the bed," Mina ordered.
"What? Sister Mina."
"We agreed, remember? This is the dare." Sister Mina’s voice seemed to carry an irresistible magic. After a moment’s thought, Jake climbed onto the bed.
Jake leaned against the headboard, his hands nervously rubbing together.
"Sister Mina, what new game are we playing now?" Jake didn’t know where to look, his gaze darting around uneasily, though his head remained still.
"You’ll find out soon." Mina suddenly pulled out a black eye mask and handed it to Jake.
"What’s this for?" Jake didn’t understand.
"Put it on. Then wait until I tell you to take it off before you do. That’s the dare."
"Oh, I see." Since they had "shared a bed" before, Jake wasn’t worried about what Sister Mina might do to him.
The company’s favors, the orphanage’s favors, the team leader suggestion favor—Jake felt there were too many things he owed Sister Mina. In Jake’s eyes, this "enchantress" was full of whimsy, making him unfazed by her novel ideas.
Today, he would just accompany Sister Mina properly. Remembering her low spirits that night, she was also a pitiable woman.
Jake put on the eye mask as agreed, and everything around him plunged into darkness.
"How does it feel?"
"A bit tight."
"You’ll get used to it. It’s one I used to wear."
"Mhm."
After a while, there was no movement. Just as Jake began to wonder where Sister Mina had gone, the foot of the bed suddenly sank, followed by a familiar, mature feminine fragrance wafting over. Jake knew Sister Mina had also gotten onto the bed.
"Thump, thump, thump..." It was as if they were playing hide-and-seek, and Jake, the one about to be caught, couldn’t stop his heart from pounding wildly.
Mina knelt at the foot of the bed, facing Jake with his eyes covered. The love in her eyes was no longer hidden as she gazed at him tenderly.
At that moment, through his inner voices, Jake sensed the depth of her feelings. Unfortunately, he could only perceive emotions—joy, anger, sorrow, happiness...
He only felt that Sister Mina seemed very happy, excited, and thrilled... Jake couldn’t understand. Did Sister Mina have some peculiar hobby?
"Little Flower, close the curtains, turn on the lights."
Jake faintly sensed the curtains on the left side slowly closing.
Seeing everything was ready, Mina decisively took off her golden robe.
A black lace hollowed-out camisole, tight leather leggings, and silk red-edged black stockings—these were the ultimate man-killers currently in vogue. These three pieces adorned Mina’s exquisite figure, her fair, jade-like skin forming a stark contrast with the all-black outfit.
A platinum necklace hung around her neck, her elegant collarbones gleaming.
Her exposed abdomen and delicate, adorable navel seemed like a divine touch, perfectly dividing her upper and lower body. The curves of her upper half were breathtaking, while her long legs were utterly captivating.
Even Mina herself was extremely confident. With her beauty, how could she not conquer someone as insignificant as Jake?
Her slender arms pressed against the bed as Mina, like a soul-stealing nine-tailed fox, slowly approached the man she loved.
