Super Soldier in the City
Chapter 1547 - 1599: Staying the Night
CHAPTER 1547: CHAPTER 1599: STAYING THE NIGHT
When the banquet ended, it was already late at night. Several Japanese guests left early, and before leaving, they all gave Li Yifei a deep look.
Honda Takeshi even raised his hand, pointed at Li Yifei, placed his palm in front of his neck, and made a slicing gesture full of threat. Sarama saw this too, and immediately wanted to rush over to catch up with those Japanese men.
Li Yifei grabbed her arm and said, "Don’t chase them."
Sarama angrily said, "That’s too much!"
"It’s okay." Li Yifei shook his head and said, "Don’t bother with them."
"I’ll have Sashar arrange people to protect you. I always feel these Japanese have no good intention. They’re cooperating with Uncle Parsons now, and you beat Uncle Parsons... We’d better be careful!" Sarama said.
Standing aside, Wu Shuwei was somewhat unaware. She didn’t know about Li Yifei’s easy win of ten billion, and neither did Angelina; both were watching Li Yifei.
Li Yifei simply explained, "I had a bet with that prince and happened to win, but it seems like the opponent may not pay up."
Angelina chipped in, "Maybe you should just forget about it; I always feel the other side is dangerous."
Wu Shuwei nodded slightly and said, "We shouldn’t provoke a prince..."
Unaware of the specific situation, they were advising this way. Sarama glanced at the two and then turned to Li Yifei, saying, "So, I think you shouldn’t leave tonight. Stay here or come home with me. I don’t think things will be so calm."
Li Yifei listened more than them. Though the party was noisy, he still heard the conversation between Prince Parsons and Tonohei. These guys should have arranged people by now, either ambushing outside or intercepting on the road.
Li Yifei didn’t tell Sarama; he wouldn’t pose as her lifesaver. Reuniting as friends was good enough for Li Yifei. If anything happened because of this, it really shouldn’t be.
Listening to Sarama’s suggestion, Li Yifei nodded and said, "Alright, I’ll stay for now."
"Really? Great, I’ll go have guest rooms prepared for you." Sarama said, happily leaving. After a few steps, she stopped, turned back and asked, "Sister Wu, will you and Golden Eagle share a room, or?"
Wu Shuwei’s cheeks heated as she felt her little thoughts were seen through by Sarama. She felt awkward, as she hadn’t explained her relationship with Li Yifei, but during their chats, neither had shown a lover’s gesture.
"Two bedrooms!" Wu Shuwei replied.
"Okay." Sarama didn’t say much, nodded and left.
The banquet guests all left, and the servants were cleaning up the venue. Li Yifei and the two women stood aside as Sashar came over, giving Li Yifei a gentle hug, saying, "Sorry, for putting you out."
Li Yifei chuckled and said, "I’m alright, but didn’t Prince Gibbs berate you?"
Sashar innocently shrugged and said, "Why would he scold me? I didn’t behave recklessly; Sa’er did. Though our names differ by only one character, it’s completely different, you know. My father might even appreciate what Sarama did right. Today’s banquet was hosted by our family, and he brought Japanese to cause trouble, which is a slap in the face for us. Sarama’s Flying Dagger stabbed over, making Sa’er behave; he didn’t show up during the whole banquet."
"Really didn’t get scolded?"
"Okay, did get scolded, but I still think the old man agreed in his heart, or else it would have been more than just scolding." Sashar couldn’t help but say.
"Haha, nice, you’re quite the interesting friend."
Sashar glared and said, "Only now recognizing me as a friend?"
Li Yifei suddenly put on a serious face and said, "As friends, get me a few guns, alright? I won’t trouble others with this kind of thing."
"Hmm?" Sashar equally soberly looked at Li Yifei, his eyes turning, and then said, "Do you intend to..."
"Rest assured, I’m not seeking trouble; it’s just that there might be many dogs squatting outside your house door now, so I need to be cautious."
"Didn’t Sarama say you’re staying here tonight?"
"It’s them; I’ll still solve things. Can’t stay at your place daily, can we? Do we not need to go out? Besides, debts must be paid; it’s only right!"
Sashar opened his mouth, taking several seconds to digest Li Yifei’s last statement.
Frankly speaking, Sashar didn’t believe Parsons would obediently pay up. It’s not one or two billion, but ten billion. Even with an agreement, once faced with such a large amount of money, an agreement means nothing; it can be torn up at any time.
Now that Li Yifei wants to proactively collect it, he has to think for this friend.
After a minute of silence, Sashar glanced at the two women not far away and whispered, "How confident are you? The people with Uncle Parsons surely won’t be fewer than here, maybe even more, and they might be regular soldiers..."
"What are you thinking? It’s not like I’m going to kill him!" Li Yifei rolled his eyes at Sashar.
Sashar moved his mouth, really wanting to say, if it was about killing someone, it might be easier. Now that you’re not, it might be tougher.
In the end, he didn’t say it out loud. Sashar nodded and said, "Okay, what kind of weapon do you need? I’ll get it for you, but..."
"I know, just get it. I won’t make a big fuss." Li Yifei said.
After all, it’s Dubai. Killing a prince isn’t something to joke about, and Li Yifei didn’t plan on doing that. But those few Japanese who didn’t know when to back off might just find themselves in trouble.
Sashar saw that Li Yifei understood and said no more. Upon hearing the weapons Li Yifei needed, Sashar went to prepare without a word.
Having witnessed Golden Eagle’s strength, Sashar did some research after returning, gaining a new understanding of the man before him, who wasn’t tall or particularly strong. As the old Huaxia saying goes, a real expert is not apparent, and one cannot judge a master by their appearance.
Golden Eagle has many unbelievable feats in his known records, so Sashar thought, even though those people want to deal with Golden Eagle, even if he’s alone, the chance of their success isn’t high.
Sarama soon got the room ready and brought everyone to the guest room. Prince Gibbs and others had already left, so only they and the servants remained. Naturally, the servants wouldn’t disturb them and returned to their quarters after tidying up, leaving only two to serve.
The room was incredibly luxurious, oozing an air of opulence everywhere.
Sarama looked at Li Yifei with anticipation and asked, "How’s the room?"
"Very good, I think it’s great!" Li Yifei replied.
Sarama smiled with pursed lips, saying, "That’s good, now I’m relieved. You’ll stay here tonight. The rooms for the two sisters are over there."
"What about yours?" Li Yifei asked.
Sarama turned and pouted towards Li Yifei without telling him.
However, Li Yifei glanced at the opposite bedroom and understood that this girl had arranged her bedroom opposite his, with Wu Shuwei and Angelina’s rooms a bit further away.
Keeping knowledge unspoken maintains friendship. Li Yifei went to the women’s bedroom, glanced around, and asked if they wanted a midnight snack. Wu Shuwei and Angelina both shook their heads, saying they’d skip food to maintain their figures.
Li Yifei didn’t say more, bid them goodnight, and left, followed by Sarama.
Sashar had everything ready and came upstairs to nod at Li Yifei, signaling him.
Seeing his sister with Li Yifei, Sashar didn’t say anything; he knew it was pointless to comment, so better not to.
"If there’s nothing else, I’ll head downstairs. If anything comes up, find Sarama or a servant," Sashar said.
Li Yifei grunted in acknowledgment, "Thanks."
"You’re welcome!" Sashar waved as he turned his back on Li Yifei, yawning long, seemingly genuinely tired.
In the corridor, Li Yifeng stood at the door, watching Sarama. Sarama slightly bowed her head, not looking at Li Yifei, and she didn’t move, seemingly reluctant to return to her room.
"It’s late, get some rest!" Li Yifei said.
Sarama murmured softly, almost with her chin to her chest. Li Yifei went over and twisted the door open for Sarama, saying, "Come on, we’ll talk tomorrow. I won’t be leaving Dubai anytime soon."
"Really? That’s good, goodnight, Mr. Golden Eagle!" Sarama responded joyfully, her sapphire blue eyes sparkling with joy.
Li Yifei blinked, waved at Sarama, and turned back to his room.
Once inside, Li Yifei adjusted his breathing, took out his phone, and replied to the women, a task that took him half an hour. But he didn’t mind; with the time difference, most were still asleep, though Chu Xiaoyao quickly replied.
Li Yifei frowned slightly and replied, "Why aren’t you sleeping at this hour? What are you doing?"
"Honey, don’t be mad. I’m working on some software, almost done. I’ll sleep afterward, and there’s nothing going on at home, so I can get up whenever," Chu Xiaoyao replied.
"Still, try to sleep earlier. Staying up late is bad. If your health suffers, how will you give your hubby a son!" Li Yifei replied.
She sent a blushing emoji and said, "Although I’ve wanted to have a baby with you for a long time, you saying it so directly makes me a bit shy."
