CHAPTER 1551: CHAPTER 1603: ASSASSIN ORGANIZATION
"Haha, why would I threaten you? I’m just explaining the stakes. Come on, drink this farewell wine; hero, you’re about to embark on your journey." Sashar said in a strange accent, raising his glass and clinking it with Li Yifei’s.
After drinking, Li Yifei stood up and was led by Sashar to his armory, located on the second basement level. They pushed open a password-protected door, and inside, the place was dazzling with all kinds of weapons, with plenty of ammunition, too.
Li Yifei immediately spotted a gun. He walked over, picked it up, noticed the three English letters engraved on it, frowned for a moment, then turned to Prince Sashar and said, "You’ve really got connections to get your hands on this gun."
"Haha, there was a European old merchant auctioning it, so I bought it, but I’ve never used it," Sashar laughed.
Li Yifei shook his head, pulled the trigger once, listened to the sound of the firing pin, sighed, and put the gun back. This gun had quite a background, but it was a bit dated.
Among firearms, Li Yifei was still accustomed to the ones commonly used by the Huaxia military. However, he had seen and used almost all kinds of guns, and he even memorized the precision and effective range of some firearms, never forgetting them.
Holding an AK47, Li Yifei tossed it slightly in his hand, and then Sashar behind him said, "This is a batch of guns. As the world’s most manufactured and widely used firearm, I specially collected a batch. There was a time I was fascinated by this gun, fantasizing about a doomsday where zombies roam, and I needed to stockpile some weapons and ammunition at home to avoid a situation where I’d have nothing handy."
"So you’re also a doomsday enthusiast." Li Yifei put the gun back, glanced at Sashar, and said, "In such a scenario, would life for humanity truly have meaning?"
Sashar replied, "Of course, life always has meaning. It’s better than being dead; humanity still needs to continue."
"Haha, you’re right." Li Yifei nodded while selecting a few guns.
After attaching a silencer to the submachine gun and also to the pistol, Li Yifei turned back to look at Sashar. The latter was also looking at him, and asked curiously, "Need anything else?"
"No."
"Oh right." Sashar slapped his forehead, dug out a few bulletproof vests from a nearby box, and said to Li Yifei, "Wear these, just in case."
"Forget it, if I really have bad luck, even getting shot in the foot would be the end for me!" Li Yifei shook his head and added, "I wanted to ask, providing me with weapons doesn’t affect you, does it?"
Sashar did not answer immediately. Instead, he looked at Li Yifei for a few seconds before saying, "No effect, as long as you don’t take out my lovely uncle, it’s fine for me. But if you do, then..."
"Hmm?"
"Then I’ll have to pack up and run, though I might not escape no matter how far I try, unless I go to Huaxia, but you’d have to protect me there."
Li Yifei chuckled lightly, saying, "I have no intention of killing him."
Sashar yawned with his mouth wide open, saying, "That’s good. You go do your thing; I won’t wait for you. I haven’t had a decent rest for days, I’m exhausted."
Li Yifei waved his hand, and Sashar turned to leave, waving his hand as he went, saying, "Good luck."
Under the night sky, Li Yifei, with several guns on his back, leapt over Sashar’s house and climbed over the wall with a few bounds.
In the monitoring room, several burly security guards stared at the screen showing Li Yifei leaping five or six meters in a single bound, all exchanging glances full of shock. Without saying much, just carrying dozens of pounds of firearms wasn’t easy, let alone jumping five or six meters in one step — how could that be possible?
The guards were not intentionally monitoring Li Yifei; they were just the night shift security. Seeing him leap two meters high and jump out directly, they were at a loss for words.
"I never want to cross him in my life!" one security guard shook his head, the fat on his face jiggling audibly, saying with lingering fear.
Another security guard quickly nodded, agreeing, "Me too. I would never want to be Mr. Golden Eagle’s opponent; it’s too terrifying — it’s practically superhuman leaping."
"It’s more than just leaping; that’s only a part of his strength. This guy..." The third security guard didn’t finish his sentence; he quickly covered his mouth, afraid that Li Yifei might hear him, and corrected himself, "Mr. Golden Eagle’s abilities are beyond what we can imagine, let’s not talk about it, lest it brings us unnecessary trouble."
The security guards all nodded vigorously in agreement.
In the bedroom, Wu Shuwei smacked her lips, turned over, and changed her position. Her pajama was open, exposing her chest, but fortunately, she was the only one in the room, so no one would see her.
In another bedroom, Sarama had just fallen asleep.
After leaving Li Yifei’s room, she cried for a while, feeling a little better. She had imagined for years that she would strive to be on the same level as Golden Eagle, so she could match him. However, after meeting him, she found that many things had changed. She hadn’t reached that level, and Golden Eagle had already married, even having multiple wives and children.
Li Yifei leapt a few times, stealthily approaching a business van. Standing at the rear of the vehicle, he concentrated for a moment, and could hear voices inside. One, two, three—three people in total, each armed, these three were the first to plot against Li Yifei.
At this moment, one person inside was complaining, grumbling about how late it was and Li Yifei still hadn’t come out. Another suggested perhaps he was staying overnight, so they should retreat.
The window was knocked. A killer frowned and looked over, but saw nothing outside the window. Dissatisfied, he opened the door and cursed, "Who’s there? Hurry up and show yourself, or I’ll shoot you dead!"
As soon as he stepped out, he was struck on the neck from behind. His eyes rolled back, and his body slumped. The two inside realized something was wrong, grabbed their guns, and were about to get out when Li Yifei leaped from the roof, landing on one of them. With a swift movement, Li Yifei knocked one out, and as the other reacted and tried to shoot, it was too late—the gun was already in Li Yifei’s hand, aimed back at him.
"Don’t move!" Li Yifei said in a low voice.
The third man, with a thick beard on his face, was a tall black man. But the moment the gun was pointed at him, he instantly complied, raising his hands without daring to move a muscle.
"Drag those two back into the car." Li Yifei gestured with the gun, instructing.
The man immediately hauled his two companions into the car. He had considered ambushing Li Yifei but dared not, and it’s a good thing he didn’t entertain such thoughts, or Li Yifei’s bullet would have reached his head in seconds.
Once the killer had retrieved his two companions, Li Yifei asked him, "Where’s Parsons?"
"You... what are you talking about? I don’t know. We’re just passing by. Why attack us?" The only killer who wasn’t knocked out still tried to lie, but under Li Yifei’s gaze, he couldn’t continue his fabrication.
Li Yifei turned to look a hundred meters away, where another car, also filled with killers, was parked. At this moment, Li Yifei suddenly sensed a murderous intent. He bent backward swiftly, kicking out as he did.
The killer opposite had taken advantage of Li Yifei turning his head to draw a gun and fire. At such close range, Li Yifei, being alert in advance, would have been seriously injured if hit, as the shot was aimed at his heart.
Fortunately, the opponent’s plan failed. Li Yifei’s kick shattered his internal organs, and the powerful True Qi that surged into his body cut off his life force.
Initially, Li Yifei hadn’t intended to kill, especially since Prince Sashar’s words came first, and it wouldn’t do to make a scene. But against those who dared to attack him, Li Yifei wasn’t going to show mercy.
After finishing off the foe, Li Yifei kicked the two remaining bodies again to ensure they wouldn’t wake up anytime soon.
The gunshot startled those ambushed outside. They immediately tried to contact the three men but, upon failing, guessed something was wrong and drove over.
Li Yifei’s silhouette had already melted into the darkness, quietly observing these people. When he reappeared, it was to subdue a group of four from one car, killing only one, incapacitating the other three.
Parsons knew of Li Yifei’s prowess, which was why he dispatched a group of over thirty assassins to kill Li Yifei. These were fiercer than typical mercenaries, men who cared more for money than for their lives, undeterred even knowing their target was Golden Eagle.
It took Li Yifei nearly twenty minutes to handle the assassins scattered among a dozen vehicles. Poor Parsons spent close to fifty million US Dollars assembling these hitmen, only for them to be taken out in less than twenty minutes by Li Yifei.
This prowess was truly terrifying.
But you couldn’t blame Li Yifei; these assassins weren’t of high skill level. Despite their reputations, these thirty or so men still posed little trouble for Li Yifei.
After dealing with a few killers, Li Yifei finally coerced out of a fearful killer Parsons’ location for the night. He hadn’t returned home, but was instead, with a few Japanese, at a secret location up to no good.
Li Yifei had the killer who told him this lead the way. After half an hour of driving, Li Yifei finally arrived at the place.
This was private property, where outside vehicles were not allowed in. There was strict inspection at the gate, but because the driver was the killer’s contact, the guard let them in easily, not even checking the car’s interior.
