CHAPTER 1812: CHAPTER 1873: STOP

These antiques worth over two hundred thousand are actually valued at only a few hundred bucks. It’s a setup, a collaboration between the young man and the owner of the antique shop. Wang Lizhen spends more than two hundred thousand to buy antiques, gives the money to the shop, and then the young man receives the gift and can return the goods to the shop, where the owner refunds ninety percent of the money, and the antiques are returned to the owner.

In this back-and-forth, more than two hundred thousand is easily pocketed, which would have taken the young man eight or nine years of hard work to earn in the past, it’s just too good.

Wang Lizhen doesn’t know any of this. She has money and is willing to spend it. After all, she doesn’t need to earn it. Her parents, having only one daughter, are naturally willing to spend money on her. They also know that her romantic relationships don’t adhere to traditional standards, but there’s nothing they can say. Whenever they try, Wang Lizhen says she’s been abroad, things are more open there, that’s how men and women behave, so they needn’t worry. Worst case, she’ll settle down with an honest man after she’s had her fun.

Who knows what honest men ever did to offend her, but after she says that, her parents don’t pressure her too much.

The two are in it together, each fulfilling their needs. Although the guards and waiters look at them with disdain, the top-floor room is so soundproof yet you can often hear Wang Lizhen screaming like a pig being slaughtered from outside. It’s unclear how the young man can bear it, especially when she exclaims, "Oh my, this is amazing!"

The young man’s name is Zhang Han. Upon hearing Wang Lizhen’s words, he immediately became furious. "What the hell is this? I worked hard to set up this plan, and you all ruined it. Once the antique is broken, it can’t be restored. Even if it were repaired, it’s not the original. How am I supposed to take it back and exchange it for money?"

"I don’t actually like antiques; I like the money Wang Lizhen spends."

His reaction was even bigger than Wang Lizhen’s, which made her feel comforted, believing Zhang Han was this upset because she was being wronged. This is the kind of man she wanted—one with ’guts’.

Seeing the young man appear suddenly, Song Lianyao’s parents panicked even more. What if this young man gets physical? How could they defend themselves?

"It’s really not our fault. I’ve said it so many times. You saw it, can’t you testify for us?" Song Lianyao’s mother was about to burst into tears, but the guards and waiters remained indifferent.

Zhang Han shouted in anger and pain: "What the hell are you talking about? As if my Sister Zhen would falsely accuse you? I’m telling you, pay up; this two-hundred-grand vase you broke, if you don’t pay today, I’ll have my brothers beat you half to death first, then call the cops to take you in. You’ll get out when you pay."

"Right, if you don’t pay, we’ll beat you half to death first!" Wang Lizhen shouted along.

Song Lianyao’s father, hearing this shout, suddenly felt a sharp pain in his heart, everything went black, and he hurried to clutch his chest, holding his breath for a full half-minute before recovering. But before he could speak, Zhang Han shouted again: "What the hell, are you pretending to be sick now? Here, go ahead, lay down if you can, damn, I haven’t even touched you, and you’re already trying to flip the charge.".

Outside, Li Yifei parked the car, holding Lianyao’s hand. They exchanged a knowing smile, no need for words. As they approached the lobby entrance, they heard shouting. Li Yifei frowned, thinking it was no place for Lianyao’s parents to stay. Just as he was about to turn to say something to Lianyao, she suddenly grew tense, tugging Li Yifei’s hand to move forward.

Li Yifei glanced toward the elevator, and a fire ignited in his heart. He saw several people surrounding Lianyao’s parents, hurling insults, with one man even reaching to push Lianyao’s mother.

"Stop!" Li Yifei released Lianyao’s hand, lunging forward as he shouted. He reached the scene, grabbing the person who was pushing Lianyao’s mother, yanked him hard, and struck with his other hand.

The one pushing was Zhang Han, but he didn’t expect someone to intervene. Li Yifei chopped at his elbow, and with a snap, Zhang Han felt his arm seemingly break. Then his body flung sideways, but Li Yifei held onto his wrist. Zhang Han was pulled back after being thrown half a meter, and a large foot awaited him. With a thud, Li Yifei’s foot hit Zhang Han’s chest, forcing his shout back down.

The entire sequence took just a few seconds. As Li Yifei withdrew his hand, Zhang Han hit the ground, moaning in pain.

Wang Lizhen’s eyes nearly bulged out. She had no idea what had happened. By the time she realized, her man was already sprawled on the ground in agony. Startled and scared, she took two steps back, pointing at Li Yifei and shrieked, "Who are you? How dare you hit people?"

"Hit people?" Li Yifei glared at her coldly, and Wang Lizhen felt a surge of fear, like being stared down by a hungry wolf. Terrified, she took another step back.

He didn’t hit her but turned to support Song Lianyao’s father, who was clutching his chest and appeared about to faint. Seeing the elderly man’s expression, Li Yifei quickly pressed a few points on his chest. Although he couldn’t manipulate True Qi at the moment, acupoint pressing had some effect. It would have been even more effective if he had silver needles.

At this moment, Song Lianyao ran over, calling out "Dad," with great worry on her face. She didn’t know what had happened, but seeing her father’s heart condition flare up troubled her deeply.

Fortunately, Li Yifei’s skills were excellent. After a few presses, Song Lianyao’s father felt much better, and once he caught his breath, he let out a heavy sigh. On the other side, Song Lianyao had already asked her mother what happened.

Her mother quickly explained the situation. Seeing her son-in-law there, the parents were no longer worried. Li Yifei being there represented a stance, and for him, the matter at hand was merely a minor issue.

After hearing everything, Song Lianyao’s face hardened with coldness. She hadn’t expected her parents to go through such an ordeal. Looking at the ugly woman squatting on the ground and crying, Lianyao felt like kicking her.

Li Yifei stopped everyone. This was his to handle. He let Lianyao support her parents to the sofa to sit down. Shocked as they were, their spirits hadn’t recovered.

Meanwhile, Wang Lizhen helped Zhang Han up. Now absolutely furious, she turned to glare at Li Yifei, phone in hand, ready to call the police. Zhang Han, however, stopped her, walked over, looked at Li Yifei, and said, "Kid, you dare hit me? I assure you, you’re done for!"
