CHAPTER 1223: CHAPTER 1223: TRAGEDY! (SECOND UPDATE)
There are enemies invading the church!
A special wailing sound reached the ears of many believers, and in an instant, they all surged towards the church.
A large number of black, white, and red-clad bishops surrounded the church and quickly entered, intending to subdue Ye Qiu.
At this moment, Ye Qiu was already inside the church, standing before a towering statue.
This was the statue of a man, standing atop clouds, overlooking all existence, like a deity high above.
Of course, among the many believers, it was indeed a deity.
Ye Qiu’s gaze landed on the statue; the information indicated that this statue was the embodiment of God, manifesting miracles through it.
"Is this God?" Ye Qiu didn’t search much more; after a quick scan, he immediately threw a punch.
Bang.
The statue wasn’t shattered but was blocked by a layer of energy emanating from its front. Ye Qiu’s mouth curved into a smile as he said, "You’ve finally appeared."
"It’s you!"
Suddenly, the eyes of the towering statue in front moved, and a clear voice rang out, tinged with a trace of surprise.
Ye Qiu glanced around: "Are you the God who likes to reside in others’ minds?"
The previously motionless eyes moved again: "You dare to come here; do you have a death wish?"
"Haven’t you always wanted to kill me? Today, I came to you voluntarily, just as you wanted."
"Killing you doesn’t require me to act personally," the statue said calmly.
Ye Qiu sneered: "Even if you wanted to act personally, it wouldn’t be easy. Your wounds from the battle with Satan haven’t healed yet!"
The statue’s gaze revealed a touch of amazement. Seeing its surprise, Ye Qiu smiled and said, "You didn’t expect me to know about this, did you? You constantly call yourself a god, so why don’t you have your own body and instead need to reside within a statue? It seems your battle with Satan left you severely injured. Even after all these years, you still haven’t recovered."
The statue no longer spoke; what Ye Qiu said was true. Its injuries were indeed severe. If it weren’t for having a residence in the statue and the belief from many, it would have perished like Satan.
"Hmph, gods are not something you can speculate about. You are but a mere mortal, and today is your death day." The statue stopped arguing with Ye Qiu and directly shot white light out of its eyes.
The power of purification!
The location where Ye Qiu stood seemed to have been splashed with sulfuric acid, melting the rocky ground.
Ye Qiu’s figure had already dodged to the side. The statue rumbled and moved, shooting its gaze again.
Instantly, the interior of the church was filled with beams of light. Ye Qiu skillfully dodged, making agile movements, and was not touched by any purifying white light.
Just as the statue was struggling to deal with Ye Qiu, a large number of followers rushed in, seeing Ye Qiu offending the god in their hearts.
"Blasphemy! Deserve to die!"
In an instant, the black, white, and red-clad bishops surrounded Ye Qiu, while the statue retreated to its original position, protected by a dozen red-clad bishops.
"This guy dared to break into our sacred land and blaspheme our deity. I represent God in judging him, sentencing him to death." An elderly red-clad bishop bowed twice to the statue and then turned around, saying these words.
Ye Qiu remained calm and composed in the face of thousands, showing a serene demeanor.
"Quite the charge of blasphemy." Ye Qiu sneered, then turned his words around, sweeping everyone with his eyes: "Your god has tried every means to kill me; is that my fault too?"
"Today, I just want to ask, I, Ye Qiu, have no enmity with your god. Why does it frequently target me? You say that God loves all people, but behind the scenes, it does unspeakable things. Such a god is hypocritical and disgusting."
Ye Qiu’s words were powerful, spreading throughout the church. Many of the followers looked at each other; many did not know about the enmity between Ye Qiu and God. At this moment, they only heard the red-clad archbishop say, "To blaspheme a god is a capital offense; no matter what you say, you cannot escape your crime. Everyone, listen, form the formation and execute this person."
The red-clad archbishop, the most revered among all the red bishops, could be said to be the highest authority next to God. Now that the red-clad archbishop had spoken, no matter what the black or white bishops thought, they had to obey.
Instantly, the crowd surged. Ye Qiu saw everyone forming a special shape, somewhat resembling a star.
And Ye Qiu was at the center of the star.
Ye Qiu’s mind flickered; he couldn’t allow himself to be slaughtered. He instantly rushed out of the church, reaching the outside.
The followers forming the star also moved their positions accordingly as Ye Qiu changed his position. Ye Qiu frowned; it looked like he was still at the center of the star.
A dozen red-clad bishops arrived in pairs at each corner of the star, and finally, under the archbishop’s presiding, all shot out a white light from their palms.
Suddenly, the star was lit up.
And at this moment, the place where Ye Qiu was standing underwent a massive transformation.
All the followers vanished, replaced by an endless starry sky, as if he had arrived in the universe.
"This is..." Ye Qiu felt the surrounding environment, his heart shocked, immediately recognizing what technique he had fallen into, as if transported to the starry sky.
Not good!
Ye Qiu wanted to interrupt the teleportation. If he were really sent into the universe by those crazy followers, he would be doomed. A Martial Artist at the King level on Earth seemed incredibly powerful, but in the universe, he was still insignificant. A planetary storm could destroy him ten thousand times.
Ye Qiu continuously attacked around him to interrupt the teleportation. However, any power sent out was swiftly absorbed.
"A black hole!" Ye Qiu’s heart gradually sank. With the presence of a black hole around him, any action could trigger its attraction.
Right then, Ye Qiu dared not move rashly. If he were to truly enter a black hole, it would be a fate worse than wandering through the cosmos, a thousand times more tragic.
Whoosh!
A flash of light, and Ye Qiu felt a lightness beneath him, falling directly downward.
This place is...
Ye Qiu looked around and noticed the surroundings were pitch-black, with the terrain in the distance appearing pockmarked through his perspective vision.
There was no sunlight, no water flow, and even the air was extremely thin.
This was a barren planet.
"Damn, they actually sent me here," Ye Qiu bitterly contemplated. At first, he had assumed they would use some kind of Formation, as he was also familiar with Formation cultivation, but he never expected them to use a Teleportation Array right off the bat, one he had never seen before.
Now this was a mess. Ye Qiu had been directly sent to an alien planet.
Settling scores with that red-clad archbishop would have to wait; he needed to find a way back to Earth first for any chance.
But now, what should he do?
Being alone on a lifeless planet, how could he survive? Even as a Martial Artist, he couldn’t last long!
