Lucifer and the Blood Ancestor exchanged a glance, realizing that the Emperor below was turning into points of light and gradually dissipating. It was not the real body after all.

Despite his anger, Lucifer was indeed curious about how the Emperor knew of their arrival beforehand, they should have found him here without him knowing.

"Want to know why?" The Emperor chuckled, then with a point of his finger, a figure appeared in his hand.

Lucifer’s expression changed, he had guessed it; the person who fed him information must have had a problem.

The figure in the Emperor’s hand was none other than the Angel Gide.

Earlier, Gide had secretly allied with Lucifer, acting as a hidden pawn to play a role at a critical moment.

Lucifer used Gide to track the Emperor’s whereabouts, which was why he invited Ye Qiu and the Blood Ancestor to join forces.

"Lucifer, you’re quite resourceful, even bewitching my subordinates to your side." The Emperor said blandly.

Gide’s wings had been completely twisted off, with blood still dripping from his back, leaving him barely alive.

"Do you know how I saw through him?"

"I actually have you to thank, if it weren’t for you, I might have promoted this guy."

"When I entered Tai Mountain in China, all the Angels were killed, except him. Honestly, I was kinda touched. If not for him, I might not have been able to escape, right, Amand?" The Emperor looked towards Amand at the back.

This naturally was a reminder of Amand’s assassination attempt on the Emperor, though the Emperor had ultimately escaped, partly due to Gide’s contribution.

"After leaving Tai Mountain, I began to suspect him, how did he survive several captures by the enemy unscathed? I intended to test him once, and this single test brought you here."

"Tsk tsk, the Vampire Ancestor awakened just to slay me, your Vampire clan is really willing to make big investments." The Emperor laughed, with a confident flavor in his laugh.

"If I had just returned from Tai Mountain, with your current lineup, killing me would have been easy. Unfortunately, now, I fear it will be me killing you."

"Kill them!"

The Emperor suddenly leaped, and the giant serpent beneath him immediately launched an attack on Lucifer and the Blood Ancestor.

At this moment, a golden beam flashed across the sky.

Immediately, there was a clap of thunder, followed by a massive serpent head plummeting from above, crashing into the sea surface.

"Thank you, Young Master Ye." Lucifer expressed his gratitude.

The Blood Ancestor nodded, without speaking but his actions showed his respect, previously holding prejudice against Ye Qiu but now, Ye Qiu’s strength had earned his respect.

"I knew you were here, without your early warning, those two would have already been injured." The Emperor stared at Ye Qiu.

Looking at the young man before him, the Emperor felt that neither Lucifer nor the vampires were truly his arch-nemesis, it was only Ye Qiu, due to whom he had faced crises repeatedly. If not for resurrecting the totem of Japan this time, gaining allies, confronting them alone would indeed be extremely dangerous.

"Seems like I ruined your plans again, though this doesn’t appear to be the first or second time." Ye Qiu said calmly, the Bahuang Sword in his hand gleaming with golden light, exuding a sharp aura.

In contrast, Ye Qiu emerged the clear victor.

"Everything you’ve obtained will eventually belong to me, with you two included. With all my enemies here, I might as well kill you all today. In the future, this earth shall be mine alone, and my faith will spread across the world." Fixing his gaze on Ye Qiu, Lucifer, and the Blood Ancestor, the Emperor declared ambitiously.

"Think you can kill us? Are you sure you have the strength?" Ye Qiu asked nonchalantly.

"How could I not? You think that by severing a serpent head, you’ve made my partner easy to deal with?" The Emperor smiled, and even as he spoke, the severed serpent head rapidly regrew.

This sight made Ye Qiu and the others gasp, could this mean that the giant serpent was immortal?

"You people still don’t seem to understand what kind of mighty existence you’re facing." The Emperor laughed.

"Wait... an eight-headed serpent, I seem to have heard about it somewhere."

Lucifer quickly thought through his memories regarding the serpent, suddenly exclaiming, serious, "I get it now, this serpent isn’t ordinary; it’s Japan’s totem, Yamata no Orochi!"

Lucifer’s revelation of the serpent’s identity stunned the Blood Ancestor.

However, Ye Qiu didn’t seem to know much about Yamata no Orochi.

"Is it that strong?" Ye Qiu wondered to himself.
