Chapter 722: Final Fight: The Demon Prince Goes All Out [1]

Nox’s body began to change shape and expand after he activated [Beast Form].

Black scales with glowing crimson veins quickly spread across his skin, and enormous wings unfurled from his back.

In just a few seconds, the dark-haired youth was completely transformed into a towering Inferno Dragon. Flames flickered between the dragon’s razor-sharp fangs, and a thunderous roar shook the entire battlefield.

Allies and enemies alike raised their heads to stare in awe and terror at the dragon’s sudden appearance. Noir’s eyes widened slightly at the sight, but a moment later, a crazed grin emerged on his face, revealing his eagerness for the challenge.

BOOM! The Inferno Dragon that Nox had become lunged forward, its heavy body cracking the ground beneath.

He swung a massive claw at Noir, forcing the demon prince to leap back with unexpected speed. Scorching flames dripped from Nox’s jaws, igniting the very air.

Nox let out a low, guttural growl. In his beast form, he couldn’t use human skills, but before transforming he had already activated [Barbarian’s Strength], which filled his draconic muscles with wild power.

His already enormous strength was instantly doubled, and his muscles bulged beneath the scaled armor.

The combination of [Limit Breaker], [Barbarian’s Strength], and [Beast Form] pushed his power to its peak, but it also caused his stamina and mana to drain rapidly.

Every second he remained in this state sapped his energy, but Nox didn’t care. In his eyes, the only thing that mattered was destroying the monster in front of him.

With a single flap of his mighty wings, Nox propelled his dragon form forward at high speed.

The Inferno Dragon’s tail swept out, smashing through stone and rubble as it struck toward Noir.

CRASH!

The tail connected with Noir’s side as he tried to dodge, sending the crimson-haired demon prince crashing through a half-collapsed pillar.

Noir’s feet dug trenches into the ground before he finally stopped himself. For the first time, his confident smirk disappeared, replaced by a grimace of pain.

A black scorch mark sizzled across his right arm where the dragon flames had licked him.

“Ha… haha!” Noir’s wild laughter echoed, even as smoke rose from his burnt sleeve.

His once-noble attire was now charred and torn, looking more like something a beggar would wear.

“Excellent! Show me more!” Noir roared, madness dancing in his eyes. Dark lightning crackled around his body as he gathered demonic energy.

His figure blurred and instantly reappeared above Nox, a lightning-charged fist crashing down toward the dragon’s skull.

FWOOOSH! BOOM!

The punch landed, sending shockwaves rippling across Nox’s scaled head.

The Inferno Dragon staggered back a step, the ground beneath his claws collapsing, but he did not fall.

Instead, he opened his jaws wide beneath Noir.

FWOOSH! A torrent of white-hot flames erupted upward.

“GRRAAAHHH!” Nox roared, pouring all of his fury into the infernal breath. A blazing pillar lit up the sky and completely engulfed Noir.

The demon prince crossed his arms before him as the flames swallowed his body, black lightning surging outward to form a barrier.

Within the sea of fire, Noir gritted his teeth. Even through his defenses, he felt the scorching heat—the dragon’s flames were on an entirely different level!

When the blaze finally subsided, Noir’s figure emerged—his body smoking and scorched, but still standing.

His once-pristine garments were now tattered and half-burnt, revealing the ash-stained skin beneath.

On the ground, soldiers and Awakened watched without daring to breathe.

The sight of the massive dragon greatly boosted the morale of the humans. Many demons, however, recoiled in fear.

After all, it was not every day that a human transformed into a legendary beast in the midst of battle.

Nathan shielded his eyes from the radiant flames and shouted to his troops, “Push them back! Now is our chance!”

Encouraged by Nox’s apparent advantage, the human forces rallied and pressed the wavering demons.

High in the sky, Noir wiped a trace of blood from the corner of his mouth.

The grin was gone, replaced by a cold, wrathful glare.

“I admit, you’ve impressed me,” he said, his voice echoing across the ruined capital.

“But playtime is over.”

He raised one hand skyward, arcs of malevolent black miasma gathering around it, crackling with power. The air itself grew heavy with dread.

Nox growled and circled cautiously, his powerful wings beating steadily.

Flames gathered in his throat, ready to be released again at any moment.

His draconic eyes narrowed as he focused on the growing sphere of darkness condensing above Noir’s palm.

He sensed extreme danger—something far beyond any attack Noir had used up to now.

“Is he… planning to use that skill?!” Hendrix mumbled under his breath from where he was kneeling.

His emotions were in turmoil. A part of him wanted Nox destroyed, while another part longed for his safety. It was as if his entire sense of reason had been snatched away, leaving his heart in complete chaos.

Even under magical enslavement, the demon prince’s eyes widened in fear of what his kin was about to unleash.

A spear began to take shape above Noir’s hand—long, dark, and almost translucent, as if forged from the essence of a nightmare.

It emitted a horrible keening sound that made teeth ache and nerves scream.

The miasma spear pulsed, twisting the mana in the air around it.

Nox’s dragon heart pounded rapidly. Every instinct in his body screamed that he had to either dodge or destroy it before it was thrown.

“That’s Noir’s most powerful skill…” Eve whispered on the battlefield below.

Her undead minions even paused, as if they sensed the shift.

Across from her, Number Two also looked up, his expression both excited and alarmed. He knew exactly what was coming.

A twisted smile curved across the Bloodmancer’s lips as he hissed under his breath, “Do it, Your Highness… wipe them all out!”

“Null Requiem!” Noir’s voice boomed as he threw the miasma spear straight at Nox.
