CHAPTER 402: URGENT WORLD TASK

Idan was watching Erza intently while Arabel was talking to Esma.

Erza stood nearby with a flaming anger on her face, but she didn’t take any action, as if she was waiting for something.

The more time passed, the more anxious Idan became.

Erza, noticing that Idan and Arabel were distracted, did not miss this moment and unleashed her Rank 5 Soul Force on them.

"Damn it!" cursed Idan as a huge pressure descended on them, and then the Power of Erza’s Soul gripped them both in a tight grip.

Idan and Arabel had recently spent a lot of effort to free themselves from the grip of a sixth-rank being. They now barely had enough energy left to deal with the grip of a fifth-rank being.

Idan and Arabel realized at the same time that in Spirit Form, without a sufficient source of energy, they would not be able to withstand a direct clash with Erza.

Discovering that Idan had slipped away, Erza felt angry. But then she felt as if from the side where she was still holding Arabel, something began to pull her own Soul Force from her.

In the place where the bright white ice figure had been trapped earlier, a beauty with full-length black hair and black eyes now stood.

Erza was aware that she was still holding this woman in her tight grip, but she also felt this woman absorbing her Soul Force.

Out of the corner of her eye, Erza caught a flash of light and, realizing that she would not have time to dodge, immediately gave up trying to restrain Arabel. She concentrated her Soul Power and, with it, the element of darkness to repel the unexpected attack.

There was an explosion, and Erza flew to the side, thrown back by the force of the impact.

Her black hair was in disarray, and her black armor was covered in scratches.

His face was contorted with anger, and his eyes turned icy.

Erza realized that she had underestimated her enemies.

Without giving her time to recover, Arabel appeared next to her, freed from her grip, and struck with lightning speed with her sword, enhanced with the element of darkness, mana, and the energy of madness.

Erza, although she lost the initiative, this time, without trying to parry, she was able to dodge Arabel’s attack.

Then Erza noticed the flash of light again, but this time much earlier than the previous one. Deciding not to block the blow, she tried to dodge. However, unfortunately, she made a mistake in her calculations.

The first attack was immediately followed by a second one, hidden behind it, which this time hit the target squarely. After receiving a direct hit, Erza fell from the sky to the ground.

Her black armor shattered, but still managed to stop most of the damage. The attack she had just bear was comparable to a peak platinum rank, and although Erza had sustained a wound, due to her armor, it did not appear to be serious.

Idan and Arabel didn’t wait for Erza to get up and launch an attack.

Idan, in the guise of his Lumiar bloodline, two and a half meters tall, with long blond glowing hair, spinning two wheels of the element of light behind his back, unleashed another attack on Erza, consisting of many spears of light.

Arabel, who had already managed to descend to the ground by this time, also did not stay away and, using a sword enhanced with three different types of energy, attacked Erza.

Sharp spears of light stabbed into the place where Erza had fallen with incredible speed. They were followed by several sparkling arcs from Arabel’s sword swings.

Arabel was sure that these attacks weren’t enough for Erza to be killed. She prepared to throw a few more punches, but at that moment she noticed a flash of light from behind. For a moment she thought it was Idan, and for a second she hesitated.

"Belle!", — Arabel heard Idan’s cry from afar. Realizing it wasn’t him, she tried to dodge, but it was already too late.

Something long and sharp pierced through her in the area of her left shoulder.

"Oh, did you manage to dodge?" the woman exclaimed in surprise.

Arabel turned to see a blonde-haired woman holding a long, shining spear that had just pierced right through her.

"Esme was right," Arabel muttered through the pain when she found out who the woman was. She couldn’t believe that she could forget about the existence of other beings of Light for a moment and even confuse her with Idan out of a desire to kill Erza as quickly as possible.
