Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!
Chapter 408: Not to show any mercy
CHAPTER 408: NOT TO SHOW ANY MERCY
"How... how can you still be alive?" exclaimed Erza, unable to believe her eyes as she looked at Idan. She still couldn’t sense his presence, as if there was no one in front of her.
Idan’s eyes, burning with a bright flame, coldly fixed on Erza. He didn’t have his usual smile on his face.
The unbearable pain and the desire to die were still fresh in his mind, even though Idan had already stopped feeling pain. All he wanted right now was to kill this creature in front of him as soon as possible.
Without saying a word, Idan created ten fiery blades around himself and brought them down on Erza.
She quickly noticed the attack and strengthened her defense, which was still in effect.
But the wounds on her body were still bleeding profusely.
"Damn the element of Light!" swore Erza, noticing that her wounds were not healing due to the presence of the element of light in them.
The blades, one after another, fell on Erza’s defense, trying to destroy it, but again they left only numerous cracks.
Having stopped this attack, Erza, feeling that her strength was rapidly melting away, made a decision and, turning around, rushed to the portal. Idan, like a flash of light, followed her and soon overtook her, blocking her path and attacking with another ten blades.
"Damn it!" — Erza cursed, fending off another attack.
"Our forces are still not equal," Idan remarked when his blades failed to penetrate Erza’s defenses. "I’m still not up to her level, but I’m not far behind either."
"But I have the advantage,"
Idan said, creating ten blades around himself again and attacking Erza. "Unlike her, I have almost endless energy."
With each new attack, a deeper crack appeared in Erza’s defense, and she felt her strength rapidly leaving her.
Meanwhile, Idan did not stop his onslaught.
Finally, Erza’s defense collapsed, and the blades broke through it and rushed straight to her body. But Erza’s black hair began to move, protecting her, fending off attacks one after another.
However, due to her weakening, Erza could not completely deflect all the blades, and wounds began to appear on her body, which, due to the element of light, could not heal.
Fighting back, Erza tried to escape, but Idan quickly overtook her and blocked her path. With each new wound, the skin on her body began to crumble, revealing her true appearance.
What Idan saw was not the beautiful Erza he had known before, but a terrifying black creature with delicate features, long limbs, and sharp teeth. Her eyes were bigger than people’s, and completely black, like an abyss.
Her true body was covered with a thin layer of darkness element that tried to hide it.
Erza pleaded, realizing that her strength was running out and that if this continued, she would die.
"I’m ready to give up!" she continued. "I have all the information about all the creatures that have entered your world, including the Guardian of Light!"
"I also have information about who exactly helped us find the coordinates of your world."
Idan shuddered for a moment, but then, remembering how cunning Erza was, and remembering the task given by the System, he decided not to show any mercy.
"Noooo!" — Erza screamed in despair as the blades continued to fall.
Idan didn’t flinch when he heard Erza’s desperate screams. On the contrary, for some reason he found them pleasant, but then, realizing it, he still shuddered.
A little more time passed, and Erza’s scream died down. She could no longer stop the blades, and they pierced her from all sides, taking her life.
It was the first Diamond-ranked creature that Idan had killed.
And even realizing this, Idan felt no joy. He was well aware that without outside help, they were too weak and would not have been able to cope with this task.
Idan sighed and, releasing his Soul Power, picked up Erza’s body, preventing it from falling into the sea of fire.
"The corpse of a Diamond—ranked creature is valuable in itself," Idan muttered.
But before he could send the body to the spatial storage, a dark cloud flew out of it, which broke free and rushed towards the portal.
Idan, who had already encountered this, was prepared for it and quickly caught up with the dark cloud. Then, using the element of Light, he caught it.
"Where are you going?" asked Idan of a cloud of darkness encased in a small sphere of Light energy.
While Idan was curiously examining the captured cloud of darkness, a figure landed next to him, which caught his attention. When Idan saw who it was, he froze, mesmerized by the beauty.
It was Arabel in her Spirit Form, in an elegant white ball gown, with her long black hair down. There was a smile on her face as she looked at Idan. Like him, Arabel was holding a sphere in her hands, but unlike him, the sphere was made of the element of darkness, and instead of a dark cloud, bright light pulsed inside it.
Idan and Arabel looked at each other in silence, smiles beaming on their faces.
All this time, they didn’t know how each of them was doing. Their system was inaccessible, as were most of their abilities.
They were very worried about each other, but because of the problems they faced on their sides, they couldn’t go looking for each other until they solved these problems.
Now, looking at each other’s Spirit Forms, they understood without words what had happened.
Most importantly, they were confident that the other side was okay.
With a wave of her hand, Arabel sent the sphere of darkness into the spatial storage and rushed to Idan. The latter, noticing her movement, also hid the sphere with a cloud of darkness in the spatial storage, opened his arms and caught her.
When their bodies touched in an embrace, both experienced a strange feeling.
Despite the fact that their essences were opposite, they did not clash or oppose each other.
"It’s an unusual feeling," Arabel said, feeling the warmth and tenderness radiating from Idan’s body. In turn, Idan felt pleasantly cool and calm.
It was a completely new feeling for both of them.
Absorbed in the new experience, they looked into each other’s eyes — dark as the abyss and glowing with light— and, unable to hold back any longer, they leaned forward, merging into a single kiss.
