CHAPTER 558: THREE DAYS LATER

Before dusk, a portal opened in front of the lawn of the two-story house, and Idan appeared from it, energetic and a little worried, with a slight smile on his face.

In three days, he had traveled more than half the way to the southern border.

On his way, Idan encountered many evolved beasts. This time, he did not ignore them, but began using them as rivals for his training in order to improve his swordsmanship skills.

Idan fought these beasts using only a sword and various sword techniques. When the beast, realizing that it could not defeat him, gave up or tried to escape, Idan caught them and sent them straight to the Kingdom.

In three days, Idan had captured quite a few beasts, which now roamed freely around the Kingdom in the ring of the seasons, under his and Arabel’s close supervision.

"Oh, you’re so early today," Irene remarked, sitting on the terrace with a cup of coffee and sorting through a pile of papers.

"Something is coming up," Idan replied cryptically. His gaze fell on several places away from the house, where work was currently in full swing.

"What’s the news?" he asked.

Irene, looking up from the papers, could not contain her excitement.

"Everything is ahead of all the original schedules," she said. "I have never seen anyone work with such fervor and zeal. Doppelgangers are really amazing creatures."

Idan drew attention to the many people who worked tirelessly on the construction of five houses at once. Most of them were men, but there were also women among them.

All these people were Doppelgangers. They came from Limbo on the orders of their ancestor Geminia and took the form of mortal builders, who were brought to the Kingdom by Esma, after putting them to sleep.

It was an entire construction team that was just completing the construction of their guild’s branch building in the capital, acquired by Hailey.

"It’s great that soon you will all be able to move in and leave our house alone with Belle," Idan said with a smile, to which Irene, hearing his words, pouted slightly.

"Are we inconveniencing you?" she asked with a slight resentment in her voice.

"Haha, it was just a joke," Idan replied with a smile and added, "At least the house will be a little freer than it is now."

"You’re right about that," Irene agreed.

"What about the others? Where are they?" asked Idan.

"Arabel hasn’t returned from Limbo yet," with these words, Irene began to tell Idan about who is doing what at the moment.

"So Arslan is still overseeing the construction and directing the Doppelgangers to build the house he wants for you?" Idan asked with a smile, and Irene looked at him and sighed, nodding in response.

Soon, listening to Irene, Idan noticed Arslan among the Doppelgangers. He waved at him, and Arslan saw him and waved back.

"Arslan approached the issue of building a decent house for Irene and his son with full responsibility," Idan thought with a slight smile.

A lot of things have happened in these three days.

Felicia, with the help of Essora, successfully changed her bloodline from a Red Fox to a Spatial Fox. She was currently in seclusion, trying to form her first beast soul so that she could make a pact with the Doppelgangers like the others.

During this time, Irene, Arslan, Esma, Hailey, Yulaya and Hazel have already signed contracts with Perfect Doppelgangers. The latter two were the first to pass Geminia’s personal test and get her consent to enter into a contract.

However, during the signing of the contract with the Perfect Doppelgangers, Haley had a small problem. At first, she couldn’t establish a connection with the Doppelganger, but then she discovered that due to the specific feature of her System, she could only form a contract with creatures with the Dragon bloodline.

It was only after her chosen Ideal Doppelganger reciprocated and took on the form of a Wyvern that Hailey was able to successfully conclude a contract.

Yulaya and Hazel were currently busy with the affairs of their guild in the capital.

Esma and Hailey, using Arabel’s help, went to Limbo.

Due to the time difference, news from Limbo rarely came. There has been no news from Milica, who went to the Valley of Lightning.

Lucinda and Sierra began preparing to attempt to regain their Spirit Form, while simultaneously learning fusion techniques with their younger sisters, Milena and Arabel.

"Okay, I won’t distract you," Idan said, leaving Irene to do her own thing. He returned to the house and began preparing a variety of ingredients for the evening dinner that Arabel had been preparing for the doppelgangers since they started construction.

"Haha, it looks like we think the same way," Arabel said with a smile, returning from Limbo and immediately joining Idan in cooking.

"It’s not appropriate to leave such hardworking guys without their favorite food just because we have a date," Idan said, and Arabel nodded in agreement with him.

"I’ll call the others to join me," Arabel said, and using her power, she summoned Edgar and the twins.

"Oh Mister, you’re here too!" exclaimed Ashley when she saw Idan and immediately rushed to hug him. Her older sister Emioi, without saying a word, followed her to hug Idan.

Arabel, watching all this, tightened her grip on the knife in her hands, and her lips twitched slightly.

"Ah, I’m sorry, Mistress, I’ll punish them later," Edgar immediately began to apologize to Arabel, feeling the tension building.

After about five minutes, the twins released Idan and, looking at Arabel with sly smiles, began to cook.

Idan just shook his head, unable to understand the twins.

"Are they teasing Arabel on purpose?" — He wondered.

"If this continues, then both of them may face serious consequences," he mused.

"By the way, what did Hailey decide?" Idan asked Arabelle while he was cooking. "The madwoman didn’t agree to Esma’s crazy proposal, right?"

Arabel could barely contain her smile:

"No, Dan. They both went to Ikkus to deal with Esma’s store and at the same time tame Esma’s familiar dragon."

Idan was amazed: he either admired Hailey’s courage, or was surprised by Esma’s crazy idea of trying to tame the leader of the second city of Limbo.

Soon, thanks to everyone’s efforts, the food was ready.

Arabel hurried upstairs to tidy herself, and Idan went out onto the terrace and sat in his favorite chair to wait for the appointed time.

It was just under an hour away.
