CHAPTER 33: DOMINATION!

That instinct—he now saw it as a life-saving skill.

With that alone, a person could even fight blindfolded...

But to truly benefit from it, one had to be fast, have high agility, sharp reflexes, and a reaction time that could rival lightning. Because without that, even sensing danger wouldn’t save you—you’d just die knowing

Leon began to wonder.

Had he reincarnated? Or transmigrated—like the novels he used to read on Zach’s phone?

Or... could it be both?

If so, which life was the one where he had learned or seen that flying skill?

His past life... or the life before he got transmigrated?

Whatever the answer—he needed it. Soon.

Because whatever memories were locked away inside him, they might hold something important... something that could save his life.

His thoughts were broken when he looked up again—and this time, he saw it.

The raven.

Diving.

It came down with a speed that blurred the air behind it. No sound. No scream. Not even the wind around it whistled—it was moving too fast.

Its intelligence had plummeted, but in exchange, all its other stats had spiked.

Its HP, strength, speed, and skills— they were now two full levels stronger than its original LVL.

Even its life force was decreasing rapidly, fueling the transformation and madness of the Berserk skill.

Instead of panic, the raven was met with a devilish grin on Leon’s face.

It hated that grin.

It hated it with everything in its being.

And that hatred only fueled its rage.

It didn’t care what came next.

The insect was about to die anyway.

Why be bothered by a grin?

It had long forgotten that same smile had haunted its subordinates—right before they were butchered mercilessly by the same hands it now dived toward.

Would it meet the same fate?

Who knows?

Leon stood his ground, unmoving.

He had decided.

Punching this thing was a waste of time. Even with his Mana-boosted fists, he wouldn’t be able to reduce a single percent of its HP.

’Why suffer... when it could die by its own hands,’ Leon thought, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.

If the raven was still as wise as it used to be, it would’ve stopped right now.

But it wasn’t.

It was too far gone.

Anger clouded its judgment.

Hatred burned through its thoughts.

All it could see was a target.

Its eyes glowed a deeper red as it dove faster, breaking through sound like a meteor.

Leon still stood, looking bored. Almost like he was mocking it.

’So far... everything is going according to plan,’ he thought, his grin widening.

Despite his seemingly calm demeanor, Leon was ready. Every nerve was alert.

Then—

He looked up one final time and saw it—a sharp arc of air, so thin and precise, it sliced through the clouds above.

"FUCK!"

The curse tore from his lips, but even that couldn’t erase the inexplicable smile that clung to his face.

It was stuck there now—like it had been glued to his soul.

Leon liked how things were going.

Without hesitation, he spewed Mana—first from his legs.

BOOM!

A jet of blue light exploded from beneath him, hurling him sideways, just in time.

He vanished from the attack zone like a ghost disappearing from sight.

Fifty meters in the air now, he redirected Mana to his palms.

And with that—his entire body became a living rocket.

The bright blue glow of his Mana lit the sky like a comet trail—streaming from both his hands and legs.

He wasn’t just moving—he was flying.

Except, this rocket didn’t spew red flame—

It radiated pure, brilliant Mana, and it was beautiful.

Leon used the Mana in his palms to stabilize himself mid-air.

By moderating the output, he kept his body balanced and the Mana consumption low.

He hovered above the battlefield and looked down at the result of his trap.

Dust rose high, swallowing the earth below. Visibility was low—even with his enhanced eyes, it was hard to make anything out.

’Is it dead...?’

He wasn’t sure.

’Damn. This plan worked even better than I thought. And to think... the foolish system expected me to punch this thing to death using my weak strength.’

He chuckled slightly.

He had spent the last few minutes angering the bird on purpose—pushing its limits.

And it had worked.

The beast had dived at full speed, ready to end him in one blow. It wanted to teach him a lesson.

It had released its elemental skill—WIND SLASH—believing it would slice Leon into ribbons.

It had lost sight of Leon entirely after that. The rage, the pride... the reduced intelligence of the Berserk state had blinded it.

The slash cut through the air, obstructing the bird’s own vision.

It never saw Leon fly out.

Didn’t even sense it.

And then—BOOM!

It crashed.

It slammed into the earth with the force of a meteor.

Even now, it stood with difficulty—staggering, stunned, and confused.

It didn’t understand what had just happened. And it probably wouldn’t... not until it deactivated its Berserk state.

It looked around, dazed.

Through the swirling dust, its blurred eyes caught something.

A shape.

A silhouette.

A humanoid figure hovering above the chaos—wreathed in a trail of glowing blue light.

It recognized that figure.

Its eyes widened in horror.

And then—

SCREECH!!!

A scream of agony and rage tore from its lungs, shaking the air.

Leon hovered there, that damn grin still on his face. Eyes blazing with purpose.

Body shining with power.

"Now..." he whispered.

"Round two begins."

.....

After seeing the aftermath of his plan, Leon was no longer sure whether the bird was dead or not.

He knew better than to let his guard down.

So, he decided to get closer—to confirm it himself.

With Mana still propelling him in gentle bursts, he descended and landed softly in the middle of the dust cloud... but he couldn’t see a thing.
