The crystal felt mixed emotions upon hearing Leon’s words.

’You’re too naive... the day you regain the memories of your past life will be the funniest and happiest day of my existence. I wonder how you’ll react... you might puke out blood remembering this moment. Because I know what it cost you... I shared your pain back then.’

It also knew the life-saving elixir wouldn’t run out anytime soon, since Ileus — the former Leon — had stored many of them.

This was the crystal’s personal thought, and Leon was not meant to hear it.

Meanwhile, still unaware of the crystal’s inner thoughts, Leon stored the elixir from the store and opened the bottle he had gotten before in order to drink its contents.

He slowly and carefully drank a single drop of the colorless liquid, trying to take as little as possible from the bottle.

The moment a drop touched his tongue, a burning pain accompanied by a bitter taste assaulted him, starting from his tongue and spreading through his body.

He quickly closed the bottle and stored it in his spatial ring, doing his best to ignore the pain and the overwhelming urge to scream to the heavens!

He had always been awed by the magical sight of items vanishing into his ring, but this time, his entire focus was on the searing pain, leaving him seemingly uninterested in the heaven-defying spectacle.

He fell to his knees and clutched his hair tightly, his grip strengthened unnaturally by the burning pain.

He hadn’t noticed yet, but the mana in the surroundings was being drawn to him rapidly — his body sucking in everything at incredible speed, like an endless abyss.

His injured left knee was healing just as fast. He had thought it was a simple dislocation, but little did he know it was far more severe.

He had been suffering from a severe case of internal bleeding alongside a bone fracture — all caused by the wolf hybrid’s paw.

If he had ignored it, he might never have been able to walk again. The dried blood in his body would have caused his leg to become stiff and swollen.

Luckily, he treated the injury immediately after it happened; otherwise, things would have gone far worse than they already had.

Soon, Leon puked out a blackish, blob-like substance — dried blood.

The Phoenix Tears were already expelling every impurity and unwanted thing from his body.

It was then that he noticed the burning pain had begun to lessen. From time to time, he would still vomit out more of the foul substance.

All of this happened within a few minutes — it didn’t take long before he was as good as new.

The pain stopped just as quickly as it had started.

Leon, still unaware of the deadly ordeal he had just escaped, looked down at the ground, confusion written across his face.

The snow was now stained red with disgusting fluids and blob-like substances.

’There’s no way I’ll allow myself to get injured that easily ever again!’ he sighed inwardly, his resolve to get stronger strengthening even further.

From his recent discovery in the store interface, he was sure that bronze and silver coins were useless.

The real treasures were gold coins, spirit stones, mana cores, and Qi cores/beast cores/monster cores.

The last three were what he knew would be hardest to obtain.

He knew of Spirit Stones — one of the main currencies of cultivators, mined from spirit stone veins in areas rich with dense Qi.

Qi cores were cores found in cultivation beasts or monsters; they were the foundation of every beast and contained most of its cultivation base — more than 50% of the Qi in its body.

Beast or monster cores were even rarer; they contained the bloodline of the beast or monster. Not every creature had a bloodline, which made them extremely rare.

’It’s now time to check my rewards for finding the Wise Gray Alpha’s plan, most especially, my Supreme Thief Skill!’ he said with excitement, quickly willing for the panel to come into view.

Of all the rewards, the title was the most confusing.

Hearing him, the crystal sighed before deciding to help him out on this one.

"As you know, you already have the Supreme Thief title. It has its effects, but you haven’t checked it yet, so you will get an additional title for completing this mission... and take note that all titles can be stacked with the Supreme Thief title."

Hearing the crystal’s words in his head, Leon nodded affirmatively. He was honestly surprised because, when he first got the system, he didn’t ask many questions. He hadn’t read about titles at all in the system book he had studied before.

’It’s a good thing I got another title. I never knew I overlooked something like this.’ He shrugged, recalling what the crystal had told him just now about how he had overlooked the Supreme Thief title.

Though he had no idea how the title system truly worked, curiosity pushed him to check it out first.

’Come to think of it, I’ve encountered birds, then wolves... what’s next? Maybe a ferocious mutant cat like a Mutant Lion, Lightning Cheetah, or Fiery Leopard.’

These were beasts he had heard of in the past—back when his father was still alive—but had never seen with his own eyes.

Even mutant wolves had been creatures he once dreamed of seeing. He had heard countless tales about how hard they were to deal with, how bloodthirsty and terrifying they could be. But instead of fear, he had always felt a strange desire to face one himself.

A creature that was a nightmare for other cultivators would now be easy prey for him, all because of the Wolf Hunter title.

It almost felt too good to be true. With this title, killing wolves, foxes, and all other wolf-related beasts would be a walk in the park.

And he knew—no, he wished—that there would be many more titles awaiting him in the future.

Shaking off these distracting thoughts, he focused on reality once more.

He continued following the paw prints of the Gray Alpha. As he moved, he checked the rest of his rewards.

’Supreme Thief Skill reward,’ his voice echoed in his mind as he willed the panel for the skill to appear.

He truly hoped it would be a combat skill, because that was what he needed most right now.

Almost instantly, a holographic panel appeared a few inches from his face.

He studied its contents with high expectations.
