Chapter 100: Adrian Grant Says: Raina, I Love You Too
CHAPTER 100: CHAPTER 100: ADRIAN GRANT SAYS: RAINA, I LOVE YOU TOO
Hearing the sound, Adrian Grant regained his composure, pulled the blanket over Raina Lowell, and got up to tidy his somewhat disheveled clothes.
Before he could respond, Isabelle Everett’s face twisted with anger, completely devoid of her previous gentleness, as she shouted at Adrian Grant:
"Is this the important thing you said you were going to do? Adrian Grant, we just got engaged today, and yet you come here to sleep with her? What do you take me for?"
That’s too much.
Even if he doesn’t love her, he doesn’t need to humiliate her like this!
She should have sent Raina Lowell to prison from the start, otherwise Adrian Grant might marry her but still be entangled with Raina Lowell.
Then what is the point of her marrying him?
Glaring at Raina Lowell on the bed, Isabelle Everett gritted her teeth in hatred.
Adrian Grant worried about disturbing Raina’s rest, turned around to pull Isabelle Everett away.
Raina Lowell sat up and held him, feigning ignorance:
"Adrian, you got engaged to her?"
Adrian Grant wanted to explain something, but Isabelle Everett rushed forward and forcefully opened Raina Lowell’s hand, unable to hold back her anger as she questioned:
"You wouldn’t know it’s our big engagement day today? Raina Lowell, since you already divorced him, you should have some self-awareness."
Raina Lowell continued to feign ignorance, her hurt gaze fixed on Adrian Grant, pretending to be angry.
"Since you’re engaged, why come looking for me?"
She got out of bed, barefoot, dragging her frail body unsteadily as she left.
Adrian Grant couldn’t let her walk out in the middle of the night, stepped forward to stop her.
But Isabelle Everett blocked him again.
"Adrian, you’re my fiancé now, you can’t do this to me."
Adrian Grant had no choice but to stop, watching Raina leave the room, then he turned his gaze to Isabelle Everett, his anger flaring.
"Raina just lost her daughter, she needs someone by her side. Isabelle Everett, I’ve done what I promised you, even though I’m divorced from Raina, she is still my family. Step aside."
"I won’t, you’re mine now, you can’t have any entanglements with her."
Terrified of losing this man, Isabelle Everett threw herself into his arms, holding him tightly.
Stopping him from finding Raina Lowell again.
That wretched Raina Lowell, even with her daughter gone, she can’t settle down, and still comes to seduce Adrian Grant.
If you provoke her, she could do anything.
"Isabelle Everett, step aside."
Hearing Madam Cole’s worried shout from downstairs, Adrian Grant couldn’t stop worrying about Raina Lowell, roughly pushed Isabelle Everett aside, and rushed out of the room.
He quickly descended the stairs, meeting Madam Cole’s anxious approach.
"Sir, please call Mrs. Lowell back. She ran out barefoot and underdressed."
Adrian Grant dashed out the door, seeing Raina out of the courtyard, he swiftly ran over to grab her, lifting her in his arms.
"Raina, can you stop this? You’re weak, it’s late, where can you go alone?"
Raina Lowell pretended to be mad, hitting him as she shouted:
"Let me go! Aurora has come to pick me up, I want to go with her, she’s afraid on her own over there."
She deliberately reached out into the dark night, crying out hoarsely:
"Aurora, don’t go. Mom will come to be with you soon. Aurora, wait for mom."
After shouting, she struggled in Adrian’s hold.
Adrian Grant held her tight and returned to the villa.
Once in the living room, Isabelle Everett chased after them and blocked their way again, her face turning green with rage as she looked at Raina in Adrian’s arms.
"Raina Lowell, he is my fiancé now, can you..."
"Isabelle Everett."
Adrian Grant interrupted her with a stern voice: "Even if I’m divorced from her, she is still my sister. Don’t shout at her like that, or you’ll never hope I’ll marry you."
He was truly afraid Isabelle Everett would provoke Raina further, causing her to become mentally unstable, with suicidal intentions.
He held Raina as he pushed past Isabelle Everett, heading upstairs.
"Adrian Grant."
Isabelle Everett screamed, stomping her feet in anger.
Damn Raina Lowell, she’d make her and her daughter end up meeting The King of Hell.
Seeing Madam Cole standing aside watching the drama unfold, Isabelle Everett shouted angrily at her:
"Old hag, listen to me. I am Adrian Grant’s fiancée now. Please call me Mrs. Grant from now on. And she’s no longer Adrian Grant’s wife, don’t call her Mrs. Lowell anymore."
Madam Cole pretended not to hear, turned around, and went back to her room to rest.
In her many years of life, it was the first time she’d seen a mistress become so arrogant after rising to the position.
She hoped Mr. Grant’s eyes would be clear, this woman was truly no good.
Upstairs.
Raina Lowell was still pretending.
After being placed on the bed, she raised her hand and gave Adrian Grant a hard slap.
"Let me go find my daughter. I want to be with her."
Just as Adrian Grant was stunned by the slap, Raina Lowell jumped off the bed to try to throw herself out the window.
Adrian Grant thought she had given up hope, rushed over to hold her again.
Despite the burning pain on his face, he paid no mind, softly comforting her with a lowered voice.
"Raina, Raina, don’t do this. Aurora is gone, she may be on The Bridge of Last Regrets with Grandpa, he’ll be with her, she won’t be afraid."
"Raina, be good, calm down, don’t make trouble, okay?"
Raina Lowell knew Isabelle Everett wouldn’t leave, maybe she’s right outside the door.
If she calmed down, Adrian might go find Isabelle Everett.
How could she let them have a good time together?
To provoke Isabelle Everett to show her true colors, Raina Lowell stared at Adrian Grant with questioning eyes.
"You got engaged to Isabelle Everett? You’re going to marry her, so why still care about me?"
"Adrian Grant, I’ve lost Grandpa, lost Aurora, now even you’re not mine anymore, what meaning does my life have?"
She continued to struggle, wanting to seek death.
"Let me go, I want to be with my Aurora."
Adrian Grant carried her back to the bed, holding her down so she couldn’t move.
"You still have Evelyn. I haven’t abandoned you, I got engaged to Isabelle Everett not because I like her, it’s because you hurt her, she wanted you imprisoned, I had no choice but to agree to her."
"But Raina, as long as you don’t want me to marry her, I won’t, okay?"
This was his heartfelt promise.
As long as this little woman wanted to stay by his side, needed him, he would always be there.
As for Isabelle Everett, he would talk things through with her.
Raina Lowell calmed down, willingly leaned into his arms, and cried sorrowfully.
"Adrian, I can’t live without you, don’t leave me, I really love you, love you so much."
Adrian Grant took it as true, tightened his hold on her, and spoke from the heart impulsively.
"I won’t leave you, I love you too, as long as you don’t leave, I will always be with you."
However, these words reached Isabelle Everett’s ears at the door, catching her off guard.
As Ethan Everett said, Adrian Grant doesn’t love her, he loves Raina Lowell.
Even if she could marry Adrian Grant, it might not lead to happiness and a fulfilling marriage.
Then what’s the point of wanting a man like this?
Suppressing the jealousy in her heart, Isabelle Everett turned and left.
After leaving Lowell Manor, she dialed Ethan Everett’s number.
"Brother, can you come to my apartment? I miss you."
