Chapter 102: Was the Man Four Years Ago Adrian Grant?
CHAPTER 102: CHAPTER 102: WAS THE MAN FOUR YEARS AGO ADRIAN GRANT?
Raina Lowell can tolerate any insulting words thrown at her.
But cursing her daughter is not acceptable.
Her eyes, sharp as daggers, glared at Isabelle Everett, without a second’s hesitation, she picked up the breakfast porridge in front of her and poured the entire bowl over Isabelle’s head.
"Ah."
Isabelle cried out in surprise, jumping up immediately to scrape the hot porridge off her head, flustered.
Then, with a face twisted in pain, she yelled at Raina Lowell:
"How dare you hurt me, Raina Lowell, go to hell."
She picked up a bowl to throw it at Raina Lowell.
Madam Cole, seeing this, hurried over to hold her back, "Miss Everett, you can’t do that, if you hurt her, the master will be angry."
Truly fearing Raina might get hurt, Madam Cole signaled her to quickly back off with her eyes.
Raina Lowell didn’t leave, she walked around the dining table and gave Isabelle Everett a hard slap.
She was calm and composed, her face unchanged.
"I’m warning you, if you ever say anything about my child again, I’ll make sure you suffer endlessly."
"Raina Lowell, you bitch."
Isabelle Everett gritted her teeth, wanting to fight back, but Madam Cole held onto her, making it impossible for her to muster any extra strength.
She tore at Madam Cole’s hands and couldn’t help but curse:
"You old hag, let go of me."
But Madam Cole didn’t let go.
Raina Lowell didn’t want to entangle with her anymore and turned to leave.
To see her son.
After Raina walked away, Madam Cole finally released her, pretending to reassure her:
"Miss Everett, calm down, Miss Lowell just lost her daughter, and the master is very protective of her right now. If you hurt her, the master surely won’t let you off."
Seeing that Raina had already left, Isabelle Everett was still painfully scraping the porridge off her head, shouting wildly:
"What are you standing there for, call me an ambulance!"
Only then did Madam Cole leisurely go to find her phone to make the call.
After being taken to the hospital, Isabelle Everett didn’t inform Adrian Grant, but instead called Ethan Everett first.
Ethan hurried to the hospital, seeing Isabelle with her hair cut and a large red burn on her head and face.
He went over and held her hand, his eyes full of concern: "What happened? Why are you hurt like this?"
Isabelle Everett fell into his arms, crying weakly:
"Big brother, it was Raina Lowell, she threw hot porridge on me, help me take revenge, make her die without a burial place, okay?"
She wouldn’t let Raina Lowell off easily.
Her big brother loved her so much; he’d definitely seek Raina Lowell’s life for her soon.
Ethan embraced her in his arms, obediently agreeing:
"Alright, I’ll go settle the score with her, what did the doctor say? Will it leave a scar?"
Isabelle shook her head, worried about being disfigured, she pleaded with Ethan again, "Get Elias Sheridan to help treat me, he wouldn’t let a scar form."
Ethan agreed.
Then he informed Adrian Grant.
On his way to the hospital, Adrian Grant first called Raina Lowell.
But she didn’t answer.
Worried, he called Madam Cole.
After understanding the situation, Adrian turned the car around, not going to the hospital, but to find Raina Lowell.
He was really worried Raina might do something foolish, have an accident.
At this time, Raina Lowell was already at Alaric Jennings’ apartment.
She knew Isabelle Everett would definitely tell on her, and if Adrian couldn’t reach her, he would certainly come looking for her.
Finding Alaric Jennings’ place would just take a minute.
Holding her son in her arms, Raina Lowell told Alaric Jennings:
"When Adrian comes over later, you guys put on a show with me."
This time she had hurt Isabelle Everett quite badly, Adrian might get angry like last time.
She couldn’t fall out with Adrian yet, otherwise, there would be no way to deal with Isabelle Everett.
Alaric Jennings agreed, but was a bit worried:
"I’m really worried about you handling this alone, afraid that woman might hurt you, should I send bodyguards to secretly protect you?"
Raina Lowell shook her head, refusing.
"No need, it would be bad if discovered."
"Just keep the recording with me safe."
With a recording, there would be evidence to send Isabelle Everett to prison.
She would eventually force Isabelle Everett to confess to all her crimes, just like last time.
Even at the cost of her own life.
"Mom, be careful, if you need me, I’ll be the first to rush in."
Evelyn pouted, looking at his mother, couldn’t help but snuggle closer.
He felt so upset about losing his sister.
He couldn’t afford to lose his mother.
Raina Lowell, leaning on her son, promised to take good care of herself.
The three of them chatted for a while, then they heard the doorbell outside.
Raina Lowell knew it might be Adrian Grant.
She put down her son, deliberately messing up her hair, curled barefoot on the sofa.
Alaric Jennings got up to open the door.
It was indeed Adrian Grant, looking worried with a tone of urgency in his voice.
"Is Raina here?"
Alaric Jennings grabbed his collar, angrily stating:
"Adrian Grant, do you realize if I had shown up a bit later, something would have happened to Raina, why did you take her if you weren’t going to take care of her?"
Hearing this, Adrian knew Raina was there.
He pushed past Alaric, entering the room.
There he saw Raina huddled in terror on the sofa, not even letting Evelyn near her.
He quickly stepped forward.
But Evelyn blocked him with his small body, not allowing him to approach his mother, glaring as he shouted angrily:
"You big bad guy, if Uncle Jennings and I had come later, mom would have been hit by a car."
"Mom loves you so much, why do you always let her get hurt."
Really furious, he didn’t appear when sister needed him.
Evelyn kicked him twice in retaliation.
Adrian didn’t mind.
Seeing Raina looking distraught, he avoided the child and sat down, trying to pull her into his arms.
"Raina, are you okay? It’s my fault, I shouldn’t have let you be with Isabelle Everett."
Hearing that Isabelle Everett was seriously injured.
Seeing Raina like this, he couldn’t bear to blame her anymore.
Raina Lowell didn’t resist leaning into his embrace, crying and mumbling:
"Adrian, should my Aurora really die? Why would Isabelle curse her to death, tell me to go with Aurora earlier too, I want to find Aurora, but I don’t know where she went, I’m afraid I can’t find her."
Isabelle had initially hired people to kidnap her daughter.
She hadn’t told anyone who the child’s father was.
Why did Isabelle know Aurora didn’t know who her father was?
Could it be Isabelle knew about her two children’s situation all along?
So the incident four years ago, was it arranged by Isabelle?
Raina Lowell suddenly realized, if not arranged by Isabelle, then who.
But she couldn’t understand why, after drugging her, forcing her onto a man, Isabelle didn’t reveal it to everyone.
If the Grant family knew she had been with a stranger, her position would be gone.
Yet Isabelle said nothing, and her silence, was it due to worry?
Raina Lowell racked her brains pondering.
"It’s my fault, I won’t let her near you again."
Adrian pulled Raina into his embrace, telling her:
"Rest here, I’ll go check on Isabelle at the hospital, I’ll have her apologize to you."
Raina Lowell nodded, sobbing, without asking him to stay.
If she needed him again, calling him over wouldn’t be hard.
After watching Adrian leave, Raina continued pondering Isabelle’s motives.
If she had been drugged four years ago, planned by Isabelle, yet after succeeding Isabelle didn’t reveal anything.
Thinking about how her daughter kept calling Adrian daddy when she was alive.
Such a young child, wanting neither her mother, but only Adrian, could it be due to a blood relationship?
Raina Lowell snapped back, could it be...
Could it be the man from four years ago was Adrian?
