Chapter 105: The Everett Family’s Lost Daughter
CHAPTER 105: CHAPTER 105: THE EVERETT FAMILY’S LOST DAUGHTER
Ethan Everett looked at Raina Lowell, who didn’t pay him the slightest attention, leaving him behind without a word.
Was it Adrian Grant who gave her the confidence to ignore him like this?
Since he happened to run into her here, there was no way he would let her go.
Ethan Everett turned around, chased after her, and roughly grabbed Raina Lowell’s arm, dragging her toward Isabelle Everett’s hospital room.
Raina Lowell, delicate and frail, was easily dragged away.
She stumbled, raising her hand in a struggle.
"Ethan Everett, what do you have to do with Isabelle Everett and me? If you’re a man, let me go."
Ethan Everett was completely unknowing of tenderness, and had no intention of letting her go, dragging her into the elevator.
"You hurt Isabelle like that. I let you off the first time, but you didn’t learn and hurt her again. This time, if you don’t pay a price, I’m not Isabelle’s brother."
He didn’t really want to hurt her; fearing she wouldn’t cooperate, he had no choice but to remind her.
"When you see Isabelle later, apologize to her. If she forgives you, I won’t pursue it further; otherwise, I’ll make you like her."
Raina Lowell quietly took out her phone to call Adrian Grant, then slipped the phone back into her pocket.
The elevator doors opened.
She was roughly dragged away by Ethan Everett.
Despite her several unsuccessful attempts to struggle free, she was thrown into Isabelle Everett’s hospital room.
Raina Lowell staggered a few steps, almost falling.
Looking at Isabelle Everett on the bed, it wasn’t as severe as she’d thought.
She truly regretted not using boiling porridge back then.
"Brother, why did you bring this bitch here?"
Seeing Raina Lowell, Isabelle Everett’s face changed instantly, wishing she could tear her to pieces.
Ethan Everett stepped forward and said, "I brought her here to apologize to you; see what you want her to do."
Although he had previously promised Isabelle that he would take Raina Lowell’s life.
But this person was, after all, protected by Adrian Grant.
If he truly took action and somehow it cost him his entire life, that would be unworthy.
He loved Isabelle, but it wasn’t worth sacrificing his whole life.
Especially since Isabelle also had Adrian Grant in her heart.
"I want her to kneel and kowtow a hundred times, scar her face herself for me to see."
Not understanding how Ethan Everett brought her here, since this was what he meant by venting her anger, she didn’t need to be polite.
Ethan Everett gestured to Raina Lowell, "Aren’t you kneeling and kowtowing yet?"
Raina Lowell stood still, looking at the siblings with an unchanging expression.
"I only kowtow to the dead."
Thinking of her grandfather and daughter’s death, every time she saw Isabelle Everett, she wished she could tear her apart.
Someday, she would make Isabelle Everett pay a painful price.
"Brother, look at her."
Isabelle Everett, exasperated, called out to Ethan Everett, pouting:
"She doesn’t even know her mistake, so arrogant. Teach her a lesson for me."
Ethan Everett approached Raina Lowell, kicked her, forcing her to kneel on the floor.
Raina Lowell was indignant, immediately trying to get up.
Ethan Everett pressed her down, signaling:
"Give me head bows; you won’t leave without a full hundred."
Raina Lowell wasn’t willing, struggling fiercely.
The more she moved, the more forcefully Ethan Everett suppressed her.
Amid their tussle, something fell to the ground.
It was a Golden Key crafted of gold, also a pendant.
Seeing the object, Raina Lowell instinctively picked it up to keep it safe, only to have Ethan Everett snatch it away.
Raina Lowell reached out to grab it, "Give it back to me."
Ethan Everett held it high, "Why give it back to you? This is clearly mine. Raina Lowell, you’re truly fixated on money."
He put the object away, then kicked Raina Lowell to kneel on the ground again, forcibly making her bang her head for Isabelle Everett.
"You hurt Isabelle like this, bowing a few times for her isn’t excessive, right?"
Raina Lowell couldn’t escape Ethan Everett’s grip, her head heavily bumped on the ground.
She was distracted, thinking about that half-key Ethan Everett stored away.
Why was it identical to hers?
She remembered; her key wasn’t on her. She had put it around her son’s neck.
It was something she had since childhood.
Her grandfather had once told her it was left to her by her parents at her birth.
But why did Ethan Everett also have an identical one?
Raina Lowell’s head was bleeding from the impact; she forcefully raised it to look at Ethan Everett.
She always felt he was very familiar.
As if she’d seen him somewhere.
But she couldn’t recall.
When completely sapped of energy to struggle, Isabelle Everett approached her with a fruit knife.
"You forced me to disfigure; today I’ll make you disfigure too."
She lifted the knife, aiming to slash Raina Lowell’s face.
Suddenly, the hospital room door was kicked open.
Startled, Isabelle Everett looked up.
Seeing Adrian Grant rushing in, she immediately hid the knife intending to explain:
"Adrian..."
Adrian Grant swiftly approached, first hitting Ethan Everett with two hard punches, then pushing Isabelle aside, and finally embracing Raina Lowell.
Seeing Lowell’s head full of blood, a shocking sight, he glared at the Everett siblings with cold eyes.
"You’re really tired of living, daring to hurt my person."
Not wanting to waste words with them, deeply worried about Lowell’s injury, he promptly carried her away for treatment.
Seeing Adrian Grant’s furious demeanor, Isabelle Everett was terrified.
She looked at Ethan Everett, "What now? Adrian Grant definitely won’t spare us."
Dammit, why did Adrian Grant have to see her wielding the knife against Raina Lowell?
Didn’t that ruin her impression in Adrian Grant’s mind?
No matter what, she still wanted to enter The Grant Family’s gates.
The Grant Family was, at least, a tier above The Everett Family.
"What to fear."
Ethan Everett was nonchalant, pulling Isabelle Everett up to console her:
"Raina Lowell hurt you so many times; a single revenge isn’t inappropriate, is it? No need to fear, I’m here for everything."
Isabelle Everett remained angry, coldly pushing him away.
"It’s all your fault, bringing Raina Lowell here in broad daylight; couldn’t you act behind the scenes?"
A useless man indeed, unable to get anything right.
Compared to Adrian Grant, he was far inferior.
Isabelle Everett disdainfully rejected Ethan Everett, turning back to bed.
Ethan Everett followed, fawning like a lapdog.
Raina Lowell was sent to a hospital room, dazed while the doctor treated her head injury.
She was still thinking about the half-key in Ethan Everett’s hand.
Adrian Grant was beside her, worried and guilty, asking somewhat puzzled:
"Lowell, why did you come to the hospital? Or did Ethan Everett bring you from Lowell Manor?"
No way would Raina Lowell tell Adrian Grant she was there for a paternity test.
She didn’t directly respond to his question, looking at Adrian Grant without addressing it directly:
"Do you know why The Everett Family adopted Isabelle Everett?"
Adrian Grant furrowed his brows, "Why do you ask that?"
Lately, Lowell was truly odd, always asking questions that had nothing to do with her.
"Answer me."
Raina Lowell was a bit impatient.
She had to understand why Ethan Everett had the same Golden Key as hers.
Adrian Grant didn’t hide the truth, telling her frankly:
"The Everett Family once had a daughter about your age, and when she was three, she went out with Ethan Everett, saw the street-drifting Isabelle Everett being bullied, and took her home to ask Mr. and Mrs. Everett to keep Isabelle Everett."
Raina Lowell questioned further, "What do you mean The Everett Family once had a daughter?"
Adrian Grant continued:
"Because shortly after The Everett Family adopted Isabelle Everett, about a year later, their daughter went missing and has never been found."
