CHAPTER 38: CHAPTER 38: LET HER FIND SOMEONE TO MARRY HERSELF

Adrian Grant hung up the phone, dressed, and prepared to leave.

His gaze fell on Raina Lowell, who was still sitting on the bed, looking at him with a face full of disappointment.

He patiently and honestly explained to her:

"Something happened with Isabelle, I need to go over."

Raina Lowell was still somewhat worried about him and reminded:

"Aren’t you afraid Grandpa will have someone monitor you, and really make you leave with nothing?"

Grandpa had said that if Adrian Grant continued to be involved with Isabelle Everett, he would make them divorce and leave with nothing.

She didn’t want to become The Grant Family’s heir; she didn’t have the ability.

But Adrian Grant didn’t care at all and left anyway.

It seemed that compared to The Grant Family’s inheritance rights, he wanted to be with Isabelle Everett more.

Raina Lowell still sat motionless, recalling his gentleness and passion from the night before, almost falling into temptation and forgetting what she did.

Forgetting what Adrian Grant had said to her.

She took a deep breath, forcing herself not to care.

Then got up to wash up.

After having breakfast, Raina Lowell drove herself to the estate to pick up the children.

When she arrived, Ms. Ford was accompanying her two children at a meal.

Raina Lowell watched from a distance, softly calling out:

"Aurora and Evelyn."

The two little ones heard her and quickly ran over.

"Mom, you’re back!"

Raina Lowell crouched down to welcome them into her embrace, smiling as she told them:

"Mom came to pick you up; from now on, Mom can stay with you two all the time. Are you happy?"

"Happy."

The two little ones said in unison, competing to smother their mom’s face with kisses.

Raina Lowell knew they hadn’t finished their meals, so she took them back to the dining room.

While accompanying them at the meal, she patiently instructed:

"When we go over, we’ll be living with that Uncle Adrian. Uncle Adrian and Mom are husband and wife; you should call him Dad, okay?"

Little Aurora’s eyes sparkled upon hearing this.

"Wow, really? Will that handsome uncle allow us to call him Dad?"

She remembered very clearly that before, the handsome uncle didn’t let them call him stepdad.

Since others didn’t allow it, they naturally couldn’t keep calling him that thick-skinned.

That would be very annoying.

Raina Lowell touched her daughter’s round face and laughed.

"Yes, he allows it, but Aurora and Evelyn must be obedient and not deliberately upset Dad."

Sometimes, she naively thought, how great it would be if Adrian Grant were the children’s father.

Then she’d be happy, The Grant Family would be happy, and Adrian Grant might not seek out Isabelle Everett again.

But...

How could heaven favor her?

Now, she prayed that the children are definitely not Elias Sheridan’s.

Otherwise, she couldn’t face The Grant Family, nor have the courage to face Adrian Grant.

"Alright, alright."

Hearing mom say the handsome uncle wants it, little Aurora happily clapped her hands.

She still liked the handsome uncle very much; the first time she saw him, her heart felt warm and secure.

Little Evelyn beside her remained silent.

He couldn’t understand why mom let them call Uncle Adrian dad again.

Before when they called, Uncle Adrian was very unhappy, unwilling to accept them.

He also sensed that wasn’t a man who would give mom a happy life, so he didn’t expect to have a future with Uncle Adrian.

In contrast, he really liked Uncle Sheridan, who taught him medicine.

It’s a pity, mom now wanted them to call Uncle Adrian dad.

Little Evelyn felt helpless.

But regardless of mom and sister’s choice, he would follow them.

After lunch, Raina Lowell along with Ms. Ford helped the children pack their luggage, then went back to Lowell Manor.

Madam Cole already knew that the gentleman and madam adopted a pair of twins.

Previously, the little boy came over here, and upon seeing Ma’am immediately called mom, especially adorable and handsome.

So Madam Cole tidied up rooms for the two children in advance and waited at the villa’s entrance.

Raina Lowell brought the children.

Madam Cole warmly greeted them, taking the two children to their rooms.

Little Aurora had never been here and found it fascinating, holding her brother’s hand and following Madam Cole, thoroughly enjoying her time.

Raina Lowell also led Ms. Ford to her room, arranging her future work duties.

In the evening, Madam Cole and Ms. Ford together prepared a lavish dinner.

Approaching dinner time, Adrian Grant still hadn’t returned.

Raina Lowell took out her phone, attempting to call him again.

Unexpectedly, she had been blacklisted.

But her response came from Isabelle Everett’s voice instead.

The other side asked, "Raina, did you need Adrian for something? He’s staying with me tonight and won’t be back."

Raina Lowell suddenly felt a sharp pang in her heart, and a wave of bitterness flooded through her chest.

She struggled to maintain composure, calmly saying:

"Alright, stay with him, I’m fine over here."

She hung up, indifferently calling the children for dinner.

At that moment, in the hospital.

Adrian Grant emerged from the restroom and saw Isabelle Everett holding his phone.

He walked over and asked, "Who called?"

Isabelle Everett hurriedly handed the phone to him, honestly saying:

"Raina Lowell called, didn’t say anything important. Adrian, can you stay with me tonight? I’m scared."

In the morning she was robbed, sprained her foot chasing the thief.

Although the doctor said it was nothing serious, she still had to be hospitalized.

She just wanted this man to spend more time with her.

Adrian Grant took the phone, speaking in a deep voice:

"I let Ethan Everett come over to accompany you, I must go back, the family is watching closely."

He turned, ready to leave.

Isabelle Everett, unwilling, got up and threw her arms around him from behind, crying softly.

"Adrian, you asked me to wait for you, I can wait for you, but please don’t have children with Raina Lowell, or I will go crazy."

If they had children, she would have no chance.

She was orphaned from a young age.

If the Everett Family hadn’t taken pity on and adopted her, she didn’t know what kind of miserable life she’d lead.

But after the Everett Family’s daughter was lost, her adoptive parents gave her no goodwill.

Ethan Everett only treated her well out of years of compassion.

So she must find new assurance.

Adrian Grant was her best assurance.

Adrian Grant had no expression, prying Isabelle Everett’s hands away, turning to look at her.

"Don’t wait for me. If you meet someone suitable, you can date and marry."

He couldn’t divorce now.

How could he waste someone else’s happiness?

"Why?"

Isabelle Everett suddenly panicked, her eyes looking infatuatedly at Adrian Grant, "Why shouldn’t I wait? Do you want to maintain this marriage with Raina Lowell forever?"

Adrian Grant didn’t deny it.

Turning away, he left a sentence, "At least I can’t promise you anything right now, so if you meet someone suitable, think it over!"

He walked away, without turning back.

Isabelle Everett stood frozen, a bit unable to believe, she had become so outstanding now, yet still couldn’t gain The Grant Family’s approval.

She couldn’t hold Adrian Grant’s heart.

It was all Raina Lowell’s fault.

She had already left, why come back?

Came back and directly married Adrian Grant.

If it weren’t for Raina Lowell, the position of Mrs. Grant would have been hers.

Isabelle Everett’s eyes filled with hatred, pulling out her phone to have someone deal with Raina Lowell.

Without Raina Lowell, Adrian Grant would surely choose her.
