Chapter 86: Adrian Grant Hits Raina Lowell
CHAPTER 86: CHAPTER 86: ADRIAN GRANT HITS RAINA LOWELL
Raina Lowell was released.
It was Alaric Jennings who went to the detention center to pick her up personally.
She thought her being able to leave was thanks to Alaric Jennings.
When Alaric Jennings reached out to hold her hand, she didn’t refuse.
After the two of them got into a car outside the detention center, they didn’t notice Adrian Grant watching them from a distance, his eyes bloodshot as if wounded.
This time, he watched helplessly as his wife was taken away by another man.
He did nothing about it.
Even though inside, he felt bitter and uncomfortable.
But when he thought about going back to finalize the divorce, he felt he shouldn’t be too controlling.
This way, she would only hate him more.
Adrian Grant drove to the hospital.
Once again, he didn’t care about Raina Lowell, only making a call to Alaric Jennings.
He asked Alaric Jennings to send her back to Southgate and have them wait for him there.
Receiving Adrian Grant’s call, Alaric Jennings was somewhat surprised.
He put away his phone, walked up to Raina Lowell, and told her the truth:
"Adrian Grant wants me to send you back to Southgate, to wait for him there, as you both will finalize the divorce when he returns."
He had been thinking about finding the best lawyer to sue for Raina’s divorce.
He didn’t expect Adrian Grant to be the one to propose it.
Wasn’t this heaven itself helping him?
Raina Lowell thought she heard wrong, "Adrian Grant agreed to the divorce?"
"No mistake, when do you plan to go back? I’ll arrange it right away, better to do it sooner."
As long as Raina agreed, he would immediately arrange for her to return home for the divorce.
He would then bring her two children back with them.
From then on, the three of them would be his family.
He wondered whether those two little ones would still recognize him after a year.
Raina Lowell hesitated for a moment, didn’t directly answer Alaric Jennings, and instead asked:
"Do you know which hospital Isabelle Everett is at?"
She couldn’t just let Isabelle Everett go.
Isabelle Everett almost killed her and her daughter and also killed the grandfather who loved her the most.
No matter what, she had to make Isabelle Everett pay the price.
"What do you want to do? You just got out, wait until we return home. I’ll arrange for someone to handle it for you, why do it yourself?"
Alaric Jennings looked at her with concern and comforted her:
"Don’t forget, Aurora and Evelyn still need you. Without you, how would they survive?"
"Promise me, don’t do such extreme things anymore. Whether it’s murder, arson, or dislike of anyone, tell me and I’ll do it for you."
He had once said, if Raina didn’t like him, he could let her go.
But if they met again by chance, it would be proof of their fate.
By then, he wouldn’t let her slip away.
So this time, he would hold on tight, at any cost, to keep Raina by his side.
"I want to handle my own affairs."
Raina Lowell knew Alaric Jennings had expended a lot to get her out.
But when it came to killing Isabelle Everett, she couldn’t implicate him.
If one day it really cost her life, she hoped to entrust her two children to him.
"What’s yours is mine."
Alaric Jennings was a bit upset and coldly said:
"Raina, you can refuse to be with me, but I won’t let you do anything that could put you in danger."
"I just want to see Isabelle Everett; I’m not doing anything dangerous."
She just wanted to see if Adrian Grant was staying with Isabelle Everett.
That blind and foolish man, if he was still with her grandfather’s killer, she wouldn’t let him off the hook either.
Raina Lowell pleaded with Alaric Jennings with her eyes.
"If you’re afraid I’ll do something extreme, you can come with me and watch me."
In fact, if she saw Isabelle Everett, she probably wouldn’t be able to control herself.
Alaric Jennings agreed to her request.
He took Raina Lowell to the hospital that very night.
In Isabelle Everett’s ward, there was only Adrian Grant.
Ethan Everett had left alone, unable to accept Isabelle’s choices.
When Raina Lowell walked into the ward, she saw Adrian Grant feeding Isabelle Everett.
The way he cared for her made her sick to her stomach.
She rushed over, knocked the food out of Adrian Grant’s hand, filled with rage.
"You’re still taking care of her? Adrian Grant, how many times do I have to tell you she killed your grandfather."
Looking at Isabelle Everett, Raina Lowell couldn’t control her hatred and lunged at her to strangle her.
Alaric Jennings quickly ran over and held her back.
"Raina, you promised me not to act rashly."
"I want to kill her. If she hadn’t pulled out Grandpa’s oxygen tube, would he have died?"
"Let me go; she deserves to die, deserves to go to Hell."
Every time Raina Lowell saw Isabelle Everett, she couldn’t keep calm.
She gritted her teeth, wanting to tear her apart.
Adrian Grant couldn’t stand her like this, he stood up and slapped her.
"Raina Lowell, haven’t you had enough?"
The slap was loud and immediately sobered Raina Lowell.
She looked at Adrian Grant in shock, her eyes suddenly turned red.
This man actually hit her.
Raina Lowell laughed bitterly but stubbornly refused to let tears fall.
"Adrian Grant, are you even a man, hitting a woman?"
Alaric Jennings pushed Adrian Grant away fiercely, carefully protecting Raina Lowell in his arms.
"Raina, are you alright?"
Raina Lowell shook her head.
She looked past Adrian Grant and stared at Isabelle Everett.
Isabelle Everett, however, smugly smiled at her, assuming a victorious posture.
But in the next second, she changed her expression, crying out in panic, reaching for Adrian Grant.
"Adrian, I’m scared. I don’t know why Raina accuses me, but I really didn’t do it."
Adrian Grant raised his hand to comfort her and glared at Raina Lowell.
"Get out."
After the slap, Raina Lowell’s heart turned cold.
She also regained her composure significantly.
Her eyes, clouded with mist, looked at Adrian Grant with hatred.
"I’ll tell you again; she admitted to me that she pulled the oxygen tube and kidnapped my Aurora, Adrian Grant. If you really stay with her, Grandpa will never rest in peace."
"I said get out; can’t you hear?"
Adrian Grant completely ignored her, coldly turning to Alaric Jennings.
"Don’t you like her? Take her away, back to Southgate. In a week, I’ll come to settle the divorce."
This foolish woman.
How could she act so rashly without any evidence?
Does she even know what he did to get her out?
Now that she’s out, still so willful.
If he doesn’t act harshly, she’ll ruin everything.
"You’ll regret it, Adrian Grant, I hate you!"
Raina Lowell, heartbroken, couldn’t bear to see her husband with such a vicious woman, so she turned and left.
