Surviving In Another World With My Three Cups!
Chapter 106: My Rightful Wife 2
CHAPTER 106: MY RIGHTFUL WIFE 2
"I will not say this again... I will not leave the compound until I take my rightful wife and children along with me... Lin Xu, you are going to come with me whether you like it or not!"
Mo Ying said aloud, his voice echoing through the compound.
Lin Xu clenched her fists, her body trembling not from fear, but from anger.
"You’ve lost your mind, Mo Ying!" she shouted. "How dare you call me your rightful wife?" She turned.
"You married a woman and made her your wife. Have you forgotten? Everything we had was fake, completely fake, so what is your deal?"
"Fake?" he repeated with a raised brow as he stepped closer toward her.
"What exactly was fake between us, Lin Xu? If you’re talking about the marriage, then there was nothing fake about it. Right here in this compound, I still remember like it was yesterday when I paid your bride price in front of everyone."
He walked closer. "I still remember like it was yesterday when I bowed down to the Heavens and married you, Lin Xu. Whatever we were doing and saying to ourselves about this whole fake marriage was completely crap..."
"Stop it! Stop it!" Lin Xu shouted, placing her hands to cover her ears, but Mo Ying didn’t stop.
"You can try to deceive yourself as much as you want, but I’ve already told you... I’m not leaving here without you and my children!"
After he said that, there was a small silence.
Lin Xu suddenly turned toward the left side of the courtyard where the kitchen stood. Without saying a word, she stormed inside. The sound of clattering utensils echoed for a moment, followed by silence. Everyone stared in confusion, unsure of what she was doing.
When she came out again, a sharp kitchen knife was clutched tightly in her hand.
"Lin Xu!" Yan Mei gasped, covering her mouth.
Mo Ying’s expression hardened instantly. "Put the knife down," he commanded, his voice low and steady.
Lin Xu shook her head violently, her eyes blazing. "No! Don’t come near me!"
Zu Shi quickly stepped forward, panic written all over her face. "Xu’er, what are you doing? Please, put it down before you hurt yourself!"
But Lin Xu only took a step back, gripping the knife even tighter. "I will not let him take me away!" she shouted, her voice trembling. "If he thinks he can come here and treat me however he likes, then he’s wrong. I would rather end my life right here than leave with him!"
Yan Mei’s eyes welled with tears. "Please, Xu’er, stop talking like that! Think about your children!"
Old Man Yan raised his hand slightly, his voice firm but cautious. "Young lady, calm yourself. This isn’t the way."
Mo Ying’s jaw tightened, his eyes never leaving her. "Lin Xu, drop the knife. You’re angry, but you’re not thinking straight."
"I am thinking clearly!" she cried out. "You left me for years, Mo Ying! You have everything you want, yet you come back now, trying to claim me like I’m yours to own. I’m not yours, do you hear me?"
"Lin Xu..." he called softly, taking a step closer.
"Don’t move!" she warned, raising the knife higher. "One more step and I’ll do it!"
Yan Mei sobbed, shaking her head. "Please don’t. Don’t do this to yourself."
For a long, tense moment, no one moved. The courtyard was silent except for the sound of Lin Xu’s ragged breathing and the faint rustle of the trees above.
Just then, a small familiar voice was heard, grabbing everyone’s attention.
"Papa Ying!" Yiling shouted as she ran towards them, a maid following behind her.
She had managed to escape from her brothers so she could come see Mo Ying.
Everyone turned in shock at the sound of the little voice.
"Papa Ying!" Yiling cried, her tiny feet pounding against the ground as she ran straight into the courtyard, a maid chasing helplessly after her.
"Yiling! What are you doing here!?" Yan Mei exclaimed, her heart nearly stopping. The others froze, unable to react fast enough.
The moment Lin Xu’s eyes shifted toward her daughter, her hand holding the knife trembled. Panic flashed across her face. "Yiling! Go back inside!" she shouted, her voice cracking. "Go back now!"
But it was too late. Yiling had already run straight toward Mo Ying, tears glistening in her wide eyes.
"Papa Ying, don’t fight with Mama!" she said innocently, looking between the two adults.
Everyone’s attention turned toward the child. Even Lin Xu, distracted and shaken, lowered her guard slightly. It was the only opening Mo Ying needed.
Catching his guard’s eye, he gave a sharp signal.
In an instant, he moved swift and precise. He lunged forward, grabbing Lin Xu’s wrist before she could even react. The knife clattered against the ground as he twisted her arm and pulled her against him.
"Let go of me!" Lin Xu cried, thrashing wildly in his hold, but Mo Ying’s grip was unyielding, his strength far greater than hers.
"Calm down!" he ordered, his voice rough yet steady, though his own pulse was racing.
"Let me go!" she shouted again, striking his chest, struggling desperately to break free.
"I can’t," he muttered through gritted teeth.
Her struggles grew weaker as he swiftly struck the side of her neck with the edge of his hand. Lin Xu gasped softly, her body going limp in his arms.
"Xu’er!" Yan Mei screamed, rushing forward, but one of the guards stepped in front of her, blocking the way.
"Move!" Zu Shi yelled angrily, but the soldiers didn’t budge.
Mo Ying looked down at the unconscious woman in his arms, his jaw tight, eyes dark with emotion. "I warned her," he said quietly, his voice hoarse. "She gave me no choice."
The courtyard was filled with stunned silence, broken only by Yiling’s small, frightened sobs as she clung to the edge of Mo Ying’s robe.
"Papa Ying... did you hurt Mama?" she whispered, her voice trembling.
"No, darling, your mama is alright. She’s just taking a nap!" he responded, his gaze remained fixed on Lin Xu’s pale face, his hand tightening slightly around her as if afraid to let go.
Then, with a deep breath, he turned to his men. "Prepare the carriage," he ordered coldly. "We’re leaving."
Yan Mei’s tears spilled over. "You can’t just take her like this, Mo Ying! She’s not your prisoner!"
But he didn’t respond. "Get the boys as well!"
He instructed, the guards walking towards the maids. Just one terrifying look showed them where the kids’ room was.
Not long after, the boys stepped out, staring at everyone, confused about what was going on.
As soon as Mo Yuen’s eyes met Mo Ying’s, he froze, his fists folding slightly.
Mo Ying noticed it but didn’t say anything. With a deep and authoritative voice, he said to the kids, "Listen, from now on you guys will all come live with me in my house, so follow those men there to a carriage."
"Did Mama agree?" Mo Bao asked, grabbing onto his brother’s hand.
Giving the sleeping Lin Xu a glance, Mo Ying shook his head. "No! But you are all coming either way."
Immediately after he said that, he carried Lin Xu in a bridal style, ready to leave.
Seeing that, Zu Shi and Yan Mei both walked towards him. "Mo Ying, I’m coming along," Yan Mei said, taking Zu Shi and her parents by surprise.
"What? You should be stopping him, not following him," Zu Shi argued.
"There’s nothing we can do, Zu Shi. I can only follow Lin Xu and make sure she’s alright," Yan Mei explained as Zu Shi sighed, giving Mo Ying a death glare.
"Alright then, I’ll take care of the Wei Lei Pavilion while you guys are gone. Please take care of yourself!"
Yan Mei nodded, giving her parents a small nod before following behind Mo Ying and the kids.
Facing her husband, Madame Yan asked, "Are we really going to watch her go?"
"There’s nothing else we can do. It’s her life... At least she will be safe there." Saying that, he took hold of his wife and left the compound.
With everyone gone, only Zu Shi remained in the courtyard.
"Susu!" she called out, and immediately Susu appeared, but not in an air ball form, but in a human form.
She was a girl, about the same height as Yan Mei, fair-skinned and dressed in a blue hanfu.
"Yes, master?"
"Since you have gone through your successful update, it’s time to begin the next part of this story... Unlock the mission and rewards panel and let the real drama begin."
Saying that, she turned around and left as Susu just smiled. "Oh, host. Hope you’re ready for a joyride."
