There is some weird competition going on between her and his mother since childhood.

Which is strange as Amara is just utterly terrified of their mother.

While even if he sneezed he used to get full on healers on his ass, checking for any other illness and treating the cold even before it appeared.

But making sure he does not get weak immunity just using vaccines, Bunch of them to safely get his body to build up immunity while keeping him away from harm.

Amara had to beg for whatever she wanted, even a single dress to buy because the previous one was torn or worn out but even a simple as dress is not given to the eldest miss of Winchester.

No she had to earn it by doing nearly impossible tasks like doing 1000 push ups under 2 times of gravity, Without any break.

To be noted she was 10 years old at that time and wanted a new dress for her birthday.

Meanwhile he used to get whatever he wanted without even asking, His wardrobe used to change just every week, always new clothes, always best and expensive ones, always with the mark of the A.W. later on

Amara had to live on scraps barely enough actual food, and mostly just dirty disgusting nutritional mix. It should be noted it was made taste digesting on purpose, normal one comes in many flavors like chocolate and a Vanilla.

While for him there was always a royal feast, anything he wanted provided and he could eat whatever and however he wanted, While they did some food chemistry and mostly just someone's superpower to make have just enough calories of food absorb in his body while others just excrete from the body without any issue at all.

Amara hardly even sees their mother, and every time they meet, she is just there to tell how disappointed Amara really is, though Amara even creating her own legends since age 6 being the youngest awakened warrior.

Meanwhile the same woman couldn't stop praising Alex for anything trivial like being able to walk right to just speak "elegantly" with someone.

From this it can be seen from this that Alex was the Golden Child while Amara is a black sheep or say neglected child of the family.

So why is this rivalry and not just abuse and Amara hates him to the core?

Well simply because all that also their competition, Their mother just wanted Amara to say one sentence and that is She love Alex more then Amara and all that torture ended but no.

Amara being who she is even as an 10 years old she was impossible to break, with all that warrior spirit and undeniable arrogance of a future S-rank.

And it didn't mean Amara take all this face down, Nope, She shot back each and every time in her way hurting their mother where it would hurt the most.

Had to work for the dress for her birthday? Her birthday wish that day was to Alex to sleep in her bed cuddling, enjoying the look on their mothers face when Alex actually accepted it.

That night she tore her dress she worked hard for and slept in underwear with him, saying she is comfortable like that making sure her room door is open ajar a little whole torn dress put in the hallway where their mother can see it.

Which is how their mothers retaliated and only gave her scrape of food and mostly nutritional mix, on purpose making it disgusting to the taste as punishment.

Amara being a menace, She just got covered in sweat and blood looking pitiful like an kicked abandoned puppy in front of Alex, Which end up him feeding her with his own hands quite tenderly.

This just made their mother retaliate even more not treating her broken bones letting her feel the pain but well Amara just used this as an excuse to make Alex her "nurse" why crying and wailing pitifully front of him, totally shameless behavior…..it can be seen why they are a siblings.

"But brother, I just want to rub it in her face."

Amara just smirked as she rubbed her soft face cheeks against his whining about wanting to show him off to their mother once again.

Making Alex just pinch his nose bridge in utter annoyance and then quite doting towards his airhead of the sister as how can he even stay mad at her if she acts like a needy cat?

".....Well talk about it later."

So he gave in, well kinda.
