Surviving the Apocalypse with My Magical Train!
Chapter 30: Sister Aria is Back!
CHAPTER 30: 30: SISTER ARIA IS BACK!
He couldn’t see it.
That meant—Evil Heart Rejection!
As far as she could remember, that was the Golden Barrier’s ability in her train land territory.
No one with an evil heart could enter or access the Heavenly Train Station.
"Does the male lead have an evil heart, Fluff Ball? I don’t remember making his heart so bad, so evil. He is the male lead, after all."
Aria couldn’t stop asking about it, wanting to understand the reason behind the male lead’s rejection.
"Host. Unable to provide further answers."
The Fluff Ball system continued floating around as they walked upstairs in the building.
"What? No further answers! Doesn’t the Golden Barrier work like this?"
Aria almost reached out to grab the floating Fluff Ball system, a note of annoyance slipping through her voice, but then she stopped.
Lolo walked beside her, smiling like a good little brother.
Aria had to keep her composure and not act crazy.
It didn’t take long for them to reach the second floor.
The moment they stepped onto it, the cool chill of the air-conditioned space brushed against their skin.
It made Aria breathe a sigh of relief, her heart perfectly satisfied as she enjoyed the comfort she had missed during the past two days outside.
She was finally back. Finally.
It was the Destiny Gate Doors that had brought her outside.
With that memory fresh in her mind, Aria swore she would never—ever—again dare to open any magical doors offered by her train station.
Ahead lay a long concourse with empty spaces for stores lining the sides.
White walls, clear glass windows, and spotless floors made the entire area look pristine and perfectly maintained.
It stayed the same as when Aria had last been here.
Nothing seemed to have changed at all, and she hoped the two children, Lucas and Carlos, were also fine.
Aria believed that Samantha would take care of the little ones.
It didn’t take long for Aria to catch sight of the cashier booth.
The two small figures, busy wiping the waiting chairs with their white rags, heard footsteps and turned their heads.
For a second, their little eyes slowly widened, shock crystal clear on their clean, smooth faces.
Then, after they seemed to confirm they weren’t seeing things, their little legs rushed forward.
They both yelled out in pure excitement and happiness.
"Sister! Sister!"
"Sister Ariaaa!"
"Sister Aria—you’re back!"
"My sister Aria is back! Yehey!"
Little Carlos clung to her legs like a tiny, wiggling lump, his face tilted upward in pure, uncontrollable glee.
A tiny, adorable pout formed on his lips, showing his little frustration.
"Where have you been, Sister Aria? I wait for you every day!"
"Sister Aria...?"
Lucas called softly, his small hands clenched together.
He didn’t hug Aria like his little brother, nor did he come any closer.
This big brother seemed to be trying so hard to control his emotions, but what had slipped out earlier betrayed him
"You... suddenly don’t come back."
"Yes, yes! Sister didn’t come back! We thought we’d never see you again! I miss Sister Aria!"
Little Carlos held on tighter, his grip tugging at Aria’s sundress.
For the little brother, letting go was unthinkable.
He didn’t want to release his grip or leave their gentle sister behind.
What if she disappeared again?
They hadn’t seen Aria’s shadow for two days, and the little heart that had found comfort in their sister felt anxious, as even eating delicious food no longer seemed fragrant.
Aria crouched down to Little Carlo’s height, her fingers gently squishing his chubby little face.
"You look so healthy now! Did you guys go to the Food Court a lot while I was away?"
"Yes, yes, Sister! Me and my brother and Sister Samantha went with Uncle Vincent!"
Like a little diligent reporter, Little Carlo stood straight.
He spoke loud enough to be heard across the platform, doing his best to sound serious about the past two days.
"We went to eat at the Food Court! And then there’s this big mall for kids like me and big brother...We went together and used our cards! Look, look, Sister Aria—we got new clothes!"
Raising both hands at his sides, the little guy twirled around.
A hint of arrogance colored his expression, like a slow-moving figurine in a dancing music box.
Little Carlos had learned this from his sister Samantha.
She had taught him how to show off his new cartoon-designed shirts and cute shorts, so when Aria came back, he could proudly show them to her.
On the little guy’s feet were colorful sneakers and yellow duck cartoon socks.
It was quite an adorable sight.
Lucas and Carlos’ faces had also changed noticeably, slightly rounded, each showing how well they had been eating these days.
Aria had already noticed these small changes as they got closer, seeing how much the two brothers had changed since the first time she met them.
It looked like Samantha had taken care of them perfectly.
"Wow, isn’t our Little Carlos so cute today."
Another soft pinch on his cheeks revealed a little extra plumpness, and Aria felt joy seeing how well-nourished he had become.
"Where did you get these ducky socks?"
The clothing store in the rewards system wasn’t open yet.
Where would these two brothers get their new clothes?
Aria couldn’t help wondering whether some of the other shops in the Train Mall Stop Station were open now.
"No wonder I couldn’t see the two children when I looked back. Miss Aria has finally come back."
The approaching footsteps made Aria slowly raise her head, drawing her attention away from Little Carlos to her first servant, Samantha.
"I’m back. Good to see you again, Sam. How’s the station these days?"
Aria returned with a smile, standing and lightly patting Little Carlos’s head with care.
She also made sure to reach out for the older brother’s hand.
Although showing slight reluctance in his slow movements, Lucas stood obediently next to their gentle sister.
"Yes, mas—"
Samantha caught herself mid-word, a weak laugh escaping as she realized her mistake.
"Yes, Miss Aria, it’s good to see you again as well."
She paused, her eyes catching a certain fellow next to her master.
"Oh, who might this fellow be?"
All eyes fell on Lolo instantly, and even Little Carlos peeked out curiously.
