CHAPTER 65: CHAPTER 65: I DARE NOT DO IT ANYMORE+4
Leaving Cuihua Palace, the two of them were a bit tired. They looked around and found a large boulder to sit on by the Heavenly Pool, hiding in the shade to have something to eat.
"Where to next?" Qin Guanglin asked, eating his bread while spreading the tourist map, pondering the next destination.
"Just wander around, wherever we end up."
"Okay."
After all, it was only noon, there was no need to set such strict targets; they would play as they pleased.
"This doesn’t taste good, here you have it." He Fang handed him the biscuit she was holding, then turned to rummage through her backpack for something else.
"I told you when we bought it, this flavor would definitely be disgusting." Qin Guanglin curled his lips but still took it and began eating.
"How would you know if you didn’t try?"
"After trying, it still ends up me eating it."
"Is that bad?" He Fang asked, looking up.
"No, of course not." Qin Guanglin crunched on the biscuit; it actually got better after a few more bites—the flavor somewhat resembled banana.
"That’s your duty, the ’Leftover Guard’..." He Fang gave him a peck, "You’ve been promoted again."
"You still have biscuit crumbs on your mouth." Qin Guanglin, feeling imbalanced with crumbs on his face, also gave her a crumb-filled kiss.
"You’re so annoying."
He Fang wiped her mouth with her hand and opened another packet of biscuits to try.
"Mmm, this one is good, you try it." She held up a piece to Qin Guanglin’s mouth, watching him eat it before asking, "Good, isn’t it?"
Qin Guanglin tasted it, "Having had too much of that last one, I can’t tell."
The two flavors were mixed, and he couldn’t discern which one was tasty and which wasn’t.
"Then drink some water before you have more."
After dealing with all the undesirable snacks He Fang tried, Qin Guanglin ate another piece of bread and felt somewhat satisfied. He gulped down two bottles of mineral water and felt his energy largely restored.
"Let’s go take some photos over there later," He Fang suggested, pointing in the distance.
"Again?!"
Qin Guanglin dreaded it; taking photos with a woman was more tiring than hiking, having to change poses in one spot, and taking many shots in each pose, only to end up with one usable photo after all the selecting.
He Fang noticed his reluctance, and not being able to threaten him with kisses like before, she thought a moment and then said, "I’ll post them on my Moments."
"Why post that?" Qin Guanglin seldom scrolled through that stuff, not being active on it.
"This way, all my friends will know I have a boyfriend, and they’ll also know what he looks like," He Fang said, a glint of amusement in her eyes, "My family will see it, too."
"Let’s go take them now," Qin Guanglin immediately pulled her in that direction.
This situation was favorable; whether they were friends or not wasn’t the issue—the priority was to give her family a heads up, making the eventual meeting smoother.
"Will your family dislike me?" he suddenly asked.
"Is that what you should be worrying about now? Focus on winning enough beans before thinking about this problem."
"It’s almost done, I’ll have enough soon."
He Fang’s lips curved slightly, trying not to let herself laugh, "I don’t believe it."
"It’s a matter of a couple of days." Qin Guanglin took out his phone, ready to show her, but when he tapped on the app to play Fight the Landlord, it required him to log in again.
A bad feeling rose in his heart, and as he turned his head to glance at He Fang, the feeling intensified.
"You... Which account did you use to play Fight the Landlord yesterday?"
He Fang turned her head away, "Of course, I used my own account to play."
"..."
A sense of dread welled up in Qin Guanglin’s heart; it was all over.
He quickly logged into the game of Dou Di Zhu, and sure enough, his five-digit count of beans had dwindled to four digits. He wore a look of indignant sorrow. "That’s cheating!"
"Where is it? You still owe me a lot," He Fang said, guiltily glancing from side to side, refusing to make eye contact with him.
Yesterday, he couldn’t resist playing a few more rounds, only to lose that quickly...
"That’s not the same thing!"
It was all a trap—Qin Guanglin was fuming. He knew it. How did she agree so easily? It was a setup!
Right, a trap. That morning when he mentioned the beans were almost enough, she had acted so surprised, asking how it happened so fast... Such an act!
"Why aren’t you moving?" He Fang looked at him innocently, as if she hadn’t done a thing.
"You had this planned from the start, didn’t you?"
He Fang feigned ignorance. "Planned what?"
"..."
Qin Guanglin was enraged. Still playing dumb!
He was angry and anxious, but without a solution. After staring at her lovely face for a moment, he suddenly lowered his head and gave her a bite.
"Don’t..." He Fang had only managed to utter a single word before her mouth was covered, her eyes darting about in panic.
It was just after noon, peak time for tourists, and their display of affection was making her face heat up with shyness, wanting to break free.
After a while, Qin Guanglin lifted his head for air but still held her tightly, his face close to hers, "You have to accumulate them for me."
"Let go of me first." He Fang, with flushed cheeks, struggled to get free. It was just some beans, was it really worth this...
"Will you accumulate them or not?" Qin Guanglin leaned in even closer. For the sake of his future father-in-law, nothing else mattered; she had to agree.
He Fang turned her face aside and agreed with force, "Accumulate, accumulate, I’ll accumulate them for you."
"You said it."
Qin Guanglin was satisfied. Glancing at the blush on her face, he gave her another forceful kiss before letting her go.
Indeed, in such matters, if you insist, she weakens; drop all pretenses, and you’re invincible.
"Hurry up!" He Fang, seeing that people around had noticed them, pulled Qin Guanglin away quickly, even forgetting about taking photos.
"So many people, what are you doing? I never said I wouldn’t take you..." She complained as they walked, the blush on her face still unreceded, pouting in displeasure.
"Nobody knows us, what’s there to be afraid of?" Qin Guanglin, now calmer and feeling a bit remorseful, stubbornly defended himself, "It’s all because you’re too cunning."
"If you dare do this again, I’ll bite you!"
He Fang pulled him along, finally stopping to catch her breath when it seemed safe, not even knowing where they were.
"Where is this?" Qin Guanglin took out the tourist map, trying to figure out their location.
He Fang glared at him fiercely, unable to think of a good way to get back at him, and pinched the soft flesh around his waist in frustration, "That’s for messing around! That’s for messing around!"
"Stop pinching, ouch!"
Qin Guanglin grimaced in pain as he twisted and dodged to no avail; her hands pinched so skillfully, each squeeze drew a sharp intake of breath.
"Hey, hey, this is Taiyi Palace. Do you want to stop and pay respects?" He deflected successfully, hopping from foot to foot.
"Stay still." He Fang ordered him to stop moving.
"Okay, I’m not moving."
Qin Guanglin resumed his position, holding the tourist map, unsure of her intentions.
"Does it hurt?" She placed her small hands gently on his waist.
"It hurts, really bad."
"Hehe." He Fang looked up at him, smiled briefly, then fiercely twisted with all her might, "Let’s see if you dare again!"
