Chapter 273: Taking the Initiative to Find Melons
CHAPTER 273: CHAPTER 273: TAKING THE INITIATIVE TO FIND MELONS
Wan Shaohu’s phone was filled with all sorts of explicit pictures and videos, so graphic they could burn your eyes.
Sang Ning hadn’t expected Wan Shaohu to be this perverted—his entire photo album was nothing but trashy videos and images. He really wasn’t worried about someone snooping on his privacy, was he?
Sang Ning picked up the phone again. Without any expression on her face, she selected all the pictures and videos in Wan Shaohu’s photo album and deleted them with a single tap.
Wan Shaohu shouted angrily at Sang Ning, "Sang Ning, what did you do to my phone!"
"No need to thank me. Just clearing out the garbage for you!" Sang Ning briefly shifted her gaze off the phone and shot him a disgusted look.
"That’s my carefully curated collection of spiritual nourishment, Sang Ning! Go to hell!" Wan Shaohu’s eyes bulged, his entire body trembling with rage.
He’d spent ages collecting those files and hadn’t even gotten around to backing them up, now they’d fallen victim to Sang Ning’s wicked hands.
"No problem. If it’s gone, it can be recreated. I’ll shoot a few videos for you, so you can enjoy them properly at home." Sang Ning raised one hand with the phone, while the other began tugging at Wan Shaohu’s clothes.
Though his hands were bound behind his back, Wan Shaohu desperately crawled backward. At that moment, he felt Sang Ning was a complete maniac!
"Relax. Content like this—good spiritual nourishment—shouldn’t just be appreciated by you alone. It needs to be shared with your colleagues in the work group so everyone can admire it." Sang Ning grabbed his collar, gave it a yank, and ripped his shirt apart.
"Stop, stop, stop! Ancestor, I’ll give you the videos you want! I beg you, spare me!" Wan Shaohu felt utterly drained and didn’t dare keep his tough act any longer.
When it came to being deranged, he had lost to Sang Ning!
If his obscene videos ended up in the work group chat, he wouldn’t even wait to be blacklisted—he’d just go straight to suicide!
With his collar already torn, Sang Ning picked up the shredded piece with a look of disdain and draped it over his shoulder. "If you’d cooperated earlier, you wouldn’t have had to suffer like this."
Fortunately, Wan Shaohu wasn’t entirely without shame; otherwise, Sang Ning might have really stripped him down completely.
"I’ll give you the videos, but you can’t betray me!" Wan Shaohu attempted a last-ditch plea.
After all, he wasn’t the only one in possession of the complete footage. If Sang Ning sold him out, even if Qingyue’s side pressed him for answers, he’d just play dead and deny any involvement.
The full video had multiple backups, and Wan Shaohu had stored all of them in his cloud drive.
Following his instructions, Sang Ning moved all the videos to her own cloud storage one by one.
Seeing Sang Ning claim all the files, Wan Shaohu was fuming. He felt utterly defeated—had he known she’d take them all, he wouldn’t have held out earlier. Might as well have handed them over and avoided the beating.
"Teacher Sang Ning, you’ve gotten what you wanted now. So, can you let me go?" To trick Sang Ning, Wan Shaohu continued lowering his stance in a display of ingratiation.
His wrist had been injured by Sang Ning, and he had multiple bruises on his body. As long as he could fool her into letting him go, he’d report her to the police immediately and get this lunatic locked up!
After all, his reputation and innocence were still intact, and the videos she’d threatened to film hadn’t been made yet!
"Nope. I still need an assistant. You’ll be my paparazzo partner." Sang Ning outright rejected Wan Shaohu’s request. She wasn’t even planning on giving his phone back.
Wan Shaohu’s tone became even more servile. "Ancestor, I beg you, spare me! You’re looking for a paparazzo? I’ve got plenty of people around me for that—I can introduce a few to you. How about it?"
Sang Ning shook her head with a chilling smile. "Nope. Only by dragging you onto my side can I feel at ease."
"What else do you want me to do?" Wan Shaohu’s voice suddenly grew weak. He instinctively knew that whatever Sang Ning was planning wouldn’t be something good.
"Stakeout and catch someone in the act." Sang Ning replied matter-of-factly.
"Catch who?" Wan Shaohu looked puzzled. What did Sang Ning catching someone cheating have to do with him?
Sang Ning’s lips curved into an ambiguous smirk. "Qingyue."
Wan Shaohu: "..."
"Sang Ning, are you insane, or am I? If you mess with Qingyue, you’ll die for it!" Wan Shaohu, who had barely managed to calm himself earlier, now found his emotions spiraling again.
Qingyue’s backer was Hai Chuan. Sang Ning was clearly dragging him along to poke the tiger. Their ultimate fate would undoubtedly be getting shredded apart.
"Yeah, I’m crazy. If I don’t have any juicy scandals to work with, I’ll create them myself. Since Qingyue loves to buy trending topics about me, isn’t it fitting for me to repay him with some massive scandal as a gift?" Sang Ning’s tone was calm, but Wan Shaohu couldn’t shake the feeling that an unstable soul lay hidden beneath that still exterior.
Sang Ning suspected Qingyue’s backer was some unknown rich woman. If she could expose a sugar baby scandal, Qingyue’s wholesome image would be utterly destroyed.
"Sang Ning, if you want to die, fine! But why drag me down with you? You’ve already gotten the videos you came for—enough to clear your name. Why aren’t you satisfied and still intent on digging deeper?" Wan Shaohu regretted everything. If he’d known Sang Ning was this crazy, he wouldn’t have signed on as director for this show.
"No particular reason. I just want to completely uproot Qingyue from the entertainment industry." Sang Ning’s hatred for Qingyue had hit +1000. As long as Qingyue was around, she could never have peace in this business.
As long as Qingyue’s backer continued supporting him, even if the complete video were leaked, Qingyue’s team could probably spin it and keep him alive in the industry.
But, what if Qingyue’s backer actively abandoned him? Wouldn’t that lead to his indisputable downfall?
Wan Shaohu cared about his reputation, and this rich woman no doubt cared about hers too.
Sugar-baby arrangements in tight-knit circles of capital might not be earth-shattering news, but what if the general public learned about it?
Keeping a boy toy might be casual gossip in business circles, but once it went public, it could become a slap in that wealthy woman’s face. She definitely wouldn’t want anyone finding out.
Sang Ning planned to go all in, aiming to obtain proof of Qingyue’s relationship with the rich woman, forcing her to abandon him to save face.
"Sang Ning, I swear I’ll keep this whole matter a secret. I won’t breathe a word to Qingyue. Can you leave me out of your plans?" Wan Shaohu genuinely wanted no part of this mess.
"No. My time is tight. I need to get dirt on Qingyue within the next day or two," Sang Ning said, determined to resolve the wave of negative trending topics before her upcoming training camp.
From what she knew, both Wan Shaohu and Qingyue lived in the same apartment complex. Having Wan Shaohu stake out Qingyue would be far easier.
